Master Wei and Yihan
It was chaos in the Wei family mansion. Luhui was causing a scene as Master Wei was about to go meet the Zheng family with Yihan, his ex wife. Unacceptable!
"Darling, how can you agree. You have to go with me. We don't know what that woman is planning.!" Luhui yelled.
Master Wei was wearing his watch as he prepared to leave. He was ignoring Luhui's shouts. Luhui was so insecure because Master Wei looked different today. He looked sharp. He even got a haircut and cut his beard.
"Why are you even dressing up. Are you dressing up for Yihan that bitch." Luhui yelled.
"Enough woman! I'm going to meet the Zheng family. I have to look presentable. I don't care about whatever animosity you have with Yihan but don't you ever insult her, Luhui. I'm warning you." Master Wei said coldly.
Hearing this Luhui felt even more angry. Why was he defending her? "Why are you defending her? Don't tell me, you still care about her." Luhui asked angrily.
"Must I remind you that Yihan is RanRan's mother. If RanRan hears you do you think she will still treat you well. Besides, Yihan never wronged you. Just shut it. I'm leaving." Master Wei said and left the mansion.
Luhui broke the vases in the room. She is so insecure after all Luhui was only a maid who got into Master Wei's pants. She was the most trusted maid. Yihan trusted her but she used that against her and slept with her husband. Master Wei always blamed Luhui for ruining his happy home but Yihan couldn't take it and divorced him. Master Wei had no choice but to marry Luhui to avoid questions from the society.
Luhui was so scared of Yihan being alone with Master Wei besides Luhui cannot be compared to Yihan at all. Yihan was born with a golden spoon and she has a good reputation and she so beautiful. It makes her feel threatened.
Meanwhile Master Wei arrived at the Chen mansion. He was wondering if he should enter or not. He got out of the car and decided to enter inside.
The butler welcomed him and led him inside. There was no one in the living room.
"I will inform them of your arrival." The butler said as Master Wei nodded. After sometime he heard footsteps. He was so nervous.
He saw Grandma Chen walking along side Chen Yihan. There were talking and laughing. His eyes were glued on Yihan. She looked younger. She was wearing a white dress that was not tight but made her look gorgeous. Her hair was in a bob. She had natural make up making her look even more beautiful. She laughed at something grandma Chen said making her look so beautiful.
"Mother Chen." Master Wei greeted. It was so awkward. This woman used to be his mother in law. Grandma Chen looked at Master Wei and smiled.
"aiyah Ziming while are you so stiff. We don't bite." Grandma Chen said laughing. She looked so energetic. Master Wei felt a little better. He mad eye contact with Yihan.
"Mother, we are heading to the Zheng manor. We will be back later." Yihan said. Grandma Chen nodded as they both left the mansion.
Master Wei opened the door for Yihan who thanked him and got inside. He walked to his side and got in.
"To the Zheng manor." He said to his driver who nodded. It was awkward.
Master Wei looked at Yihan who sat elegantly with her hands resting on her lap. Master Wei had to admit that Yihan still had the same effect on him as she had on the first time they met. Yihan was his first love and he still loves her. He could not accept that they are divorced. Master Wei divorced Yihan unwillingly. He still considers her, his wife. He loves Yihan more because she also gave him, his RanRan. His pride.
He may seem to favour RanRan more but what can he do. RanRan came from the love of his life and they both planned so much for RanRan when she was still in the womb. They both vowed to love RanRan more tahn themselves and they do.
Yihan admitted that Ziming looked even more handsome. She was still in love with this man no matter what happened between them.
Yihan even liked the scent on Ziming. It was the one she always said she loves and Master Wei would use it. She cannot believe that he still uses it. She also looked at him. He looked younger also. Yihan blushed when their eyes met. She could not believe, even at her age she is still blushing. Of course, Ziming noticed and smiled to himself.
"Yihan, thank you for inviting me also." Master Wei said. "Nonsense. RanRan is also your daughter. It's right for her father to be there. Besides you have always been there for RanRan. You are a good father Ziming." Yihan said softly.
"Yihan I-" Master Wei was cut off when the car came to a stop. They looked out and realized they are at the Zheng manor.
"Mam, Sir we have arrived." The driver announced. The duo got out of the car and was welcomed by Madam Zheng. Master Wei looked around and realized his daughter would be happy here.
"Yihan!" Madam Zheng yelled and engulfed Yihan in a hug. Yihan chuckled. "Welcome to my home. Master Wei welcome. Come in. Everyone is inside." The duo nodded and followed Madam Zheng inside the house.
"Master Zheng." Master Wei greeted respectfully. Master Zheng smiled.
"Call me Chao. We are going to be family soon. Sit down."
Master Wei and Yihan took a seat as the maid bought tea for them.
"Yihan have this tea. It came from Beijing. My cousin bought it for me. She said it can nourish the skin. Try it." Madam Zheng said.
The men laughed. Women are always trying to keep their looks. There are always insecure about their skin and looks.
While the men only worry about making more money.
"Excuse us. We are ladies. We have to look beautiful for you men otherwise you will leave us if we look ugly." Madam Zheng said with a scoff.
"I always told Master Wei the same thing but he always laughed it off." Yihan said making Master Wei melt.
"Aigoo I believed you. It's just so funny." Master Wei responded. They all laughed.
"Anyway we would like for your daughter to be our daughter in law and marry Zheng Lin." Master Zheng said.
"I think they make a great couple. Chao, our daughter is capable and hardworking. RanRan runs the Chen business and I wanted her to inherit the Wei business but she refused and let Yiming handle it. I was disappointed but what can I do. RanRan is my pride." Master Wei said.
"She is considerate. A good choice for our son." Master Zheng responded.
"Okay let's plan the engagement. I can't wait any longer. I want RanRan as my daughter in law." Jiayu said making everyone laugh.
"Okay how about in two weeks time. We can plan a grand ceremony." Yihan suggested.
"Of course it has to be grand. It has to be after all it's Lin's and RanRan's engagement after all." Master Wei said happily.
"Okay so it's official. The engagement is in two weeks. The wedding after a month." Master Zheng announced.
"Stay for dinner you two. " Jiayu said. Master Wei looked at Jiayu and she nodded. They both agreed to stay over for dinner and chatted with Master Zheng and Madam Zheng.
In the shadows Wanli and Fenling watched angrily.
