Chapter 9 - The New Era

Alex stood at the window of his office, overlooking the city of Malaki. The sun was setting, casting a golden glow over the bustling streets. He felt a sense of pride and accomplishment, knowing that NovaTech was back on track.

He turned to Victor and Aisha, who were seated on the couch, discussing the new project. "I think we're ready to move forward," he said, a smile on his face.

Victor nodded, his eyes shining with excitement.

"We've got the team in place, and the investors are on board. We're good to go."

Aisha leaned forward, her voice filled with enthusiasm. "The new tech is going to revolutionize the industry, Alex. We're talking game-changer level stufff."

Alex chuckled, feeling a sense of anticipation.

"Let's do it, then. Let's make it happen."

The three of them clapped hands, sealing their decision. The future was bright for NovaTech, and they were ready to take on the challenge.

As they began to discuss the details of the project, Alex's phone buzzed. He picked it up, his expression changing to one of surprise. "It's Ahmed," he said, his voice low.

Victor's eyes narrowed. "What does he want?"

Alex listened for a moment, his expression unreadable. "He wants to meet," he said, hanging up the phone.

Aisha's eyes widened. "Are you going to meet him?"

Alex nodded, a cold glimmer in his eyes. "Oh, I'm going to meet him. I want to know what he has to say for himself."

Victor stood up, his voice firm. "'ll go with you, Alex."

Aisha nodded, her eyes flashing with determination. "I'm coming too."

The three of them walked out of the office, ready to face whatever lay ahead. The game was far from over, but they were ready to play.

They arrived at the meeting location, a secluded café on the outskirts of town. Ahmed was already there, his eyes cold and calculating.

"Ahmed." Alex said. his voice neutral. "What do you want?

Ahmed smiled, a cruel glare in his eyes. "I want to make a deal, Alex. I have information that could bring down NovaTech, and I'm willing to give it to you... for a price."

Alex raised an eyebrow, his interest piqued. "What kind of price?"

Ahmed leaned forward, his voice low and menacing. "I want a seat on the board, and I want control over the new tech."

Victor snorted, his eyes flashing with anger.

"You're crazy if you think we're going to agree to that."

Ahmed's smile grew wider. "Oh, I think you will.

You see, I have proof that NovaTech has been involved in some... questionable activities.

Activities that could ruin the company, and everyone involved."

The room fell silent, the tension palpable. Alex's eyes locked onto Ahmed's, a battle of wills.
