"Stinky brat, I taught you to respect elders, didn't I? Grandpa Third is already so old, can't you stop bothering him?" Renji said as he walked into the office with his hands in his pockets.
"I'm very sorry, Teacher Renji, I'll teach Naruto a lesson right now," Sakura Haruno said as she grabbed Naruto again, preparing to scold him further.
"What if he gets so angry he dies?" Renji bent slightly forward with a mocking smile and said, "Don't you think so, Grandpa Third?"
"Hehe. Although I'm old, I don't plan on losing to young people," Hiruzen Sarutobi replied as his eyes briefly flashed sharply with the aura of a Kage-level expert.
"Is that so? I'm actually a little excited," Renji replied with a faint smile.
"Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, wanting high-difficulty missions to prove yourselves to important people is a good thing," Hiruzen Sarutobi said as he stood up and walked toward them.
"Haste prevents one from becoming stronger. Blindly pursuing power will cause one to lose yourself and fall into darkness."
Hiruzen Sarutobi continued as he stood with his hands behind his back and smiled gently.
A trace of sorrow flashed in his eyes.
Orochimaru. He remembered Orochimaru.
Orochimaru pursued power and eventually lost himself.
Orochimaru's betrayal had troubled him for many years.
Hiruzen Sarutobi walked toward the window and looked down at the vast village below as he said, "With a faint flame, the leaves burn.
Where Konaha dances, fire will continue to burn. The firelight will illuminate the village and cause new leaves to sprout."
"Only when you understand the Will of Fire can you be considered a full-fledged ninja," Hiruzen Sarutobi said as he turned and smiled at Team 7.
