Chapter 473 - Chapter 474: Another Twist, the LeBron-Wade Connection, and a Potential Game-Winner

Frye and George against Haslem and Chalmers.

A four-man brawl!

Of course, the fight lasted only a few seconds.

Blake, Nash, Curry, LeBron, Wade, Bosh, the rest of the players from both teams, and the referees all rushed in at once and pulled the four apart, stopping the fight before it could escalate any further.

"Wow!"

The crowd erupted with shouts and screams at the sight of the chaotic scene on the court, making the already wild atmosphere inside the arena even more chaotic.

It took a while before everyone finally began to calm down.

After reviewing the replay, the referees assessed Frye, George, Haslem, and Chalmers one technical foul apiece.

And since the entire incident had started with Haslem fouling Frye while fighting for the rebound, possession remained with the Suns.

"Thud, thud, thud!"

Nash brought the ball across half court.

As soon as he crossed, Coach Gentry called another timeout, hoping to give both teams another chance to settle down.

But just as the timeout was called, Frye and Haslem started trading insults again near center court.

They didn't come to blows this time, but the language was ugly, and they were shouting loudly enough for everyone to hear.

It was a terrible look.

"Beep! Beep!"

The referees blew the whistle again.

Another technical for each of them!

With two technicals apiece, both Frye and Haslem were ejected.

Each man was escorted back to the locker room by members of his team's staff. Otherwise, there was no telling whether the two might start fighting again in the tunnel.

The game remained paused.

Only after Frye and Haslem had been ejected did the entire incident finally come to an end, allowing everyone to cool down during the stoppage.

On the Heat bench, LeBron spoke seriously.

"We're only down 11, and there's still more than half the quarter left. We still have a chance to come back.

"Get your heads right. Don't lose confidence."

"Yeah."

"Got it!"

Wade and Bosh responded, while the rest of the Heat players nodded.

Everyone was doing whatever they could to regain their composure as quickly as possible.

The Suns were doing the same.

With an 11-point lead, however, they settled down faster than Miami.

Everyone had the same thought.

Stay composed. Don't get reckless.

Survive these final eight minutes, and they would win.

"Boom!"

As both teams caught their breath and quickly regained their focus, the fight had only pushed the atmosphere inside the arena to another level.

Many fans could no longer remain seated.

They stood to watch the final battle unfold, with the home crowd screaming themselves hoarse for the Heat.

Because if Miami won tonight...

They were NBA champions!!!

The Suns fans refused to be drowned out.

They cheered for Phoenix at the top of their lungs, urging the Suns to force a Game 7!

Boom!

The arena was absolutely rocking!

Before long, the timeout ended.

The final eight minutes of Game 6 began.

The Suns led by 11, and Blake had just scored 30 points in a single quarter while playing at an unbelievable level.

Everything seemed to favor Phoenix.

But the brawl had still affected the Suns mentally.

George, Curry, and the others began to struggle again.

There was another problem.

Frye had held an advantage over Haslem inside, but with Frye ejected and Phoenix forced to use its backup center, that advantage disappeared.

At the same time, all three members of the Heat Big Three excelled at attacking the rim.

They seized the opportunity and began unleashing their own aggressive offense, gradually cutting into the lead.

Blake, however, remained effective.

Whether posting up or firing from deep, he was still able to maintain his hot shooting touch.

And although it was already the fourth quarter, he hadn't spent much of the night repeatedly forcing his way to the rim, which had helped conserve his energy.

Because of that, he could still maintain his level of play late in the game.

He was also working incredibly hard on defense.

But without Frye, Phoenix's overall interior defense had weakened.

Combined with the decline in his teammates' play, all of this allowed the Heat Big Three to slowly chip away at the Suns' 11-point lead.

Time flew by.

Before anyone knew it, only 47.3 seconds remained.

Blake had already scored 59 points.

And yet, the Heat trailed by only two.

More importantly, Miami had possession.

If they scored here, they could tie the game.

Or even take the lead.

"Thud, thud, thud!"

LeBron controlled the ball at the top of the arc with George defending him.

He didn't rush.

He slowed the tempo slightly, waiting for Bosh to come up and set a screen.

"Whoosh!"

LeBron exploded forward, shook free of George, and accelerated toward the basket from the left wing.

Blake rotated over to help.

LeBron kept coming, attacking like a bulldozer.

"Thud! Thud! Thud!"

Their bodies collided hard.

In terms of raw strength, Blake couldn't match LeBron.

But with his excellent lateral speed, height, and wingspan, he left LeBron without a clear path to score.

Then...

"Whoosh!"

After muscling his way into the paint, LeBron suddenly tossed the ball toward the rim over Blake's defense.

A floater?

No!

A pass!

On the right side of the lane, "Flash" Wade suddenly cut toward the basket and launched himself into the air, catching LeBron's pass.

"Thud!"

George, who had followed the play inside, saw it developing and immediately leaped after him, trying to block Wade.

But...

"BOOM!"

Wade was more explosive and half a step quicker.

He beat George to the rim and slammed the ball home with both hands!

An alley-oop!

"Wow!"

"The LeBron-Wade connection!"

"What a play!"

Jon Barry and Mark Jackson roared with excitement.

Tie game!

27.3 seconds remaining.

Suns ball.

"Thud, thud, thud!"

Blake brought the ball across half court himself.

He didn't rush.

There was still plenty of time.

If Phoenix could execute and score on this possession, they would put themselves in position to finish the game.

But Miami had no intention of giving Blake an easy opportunity.

LeBron and Wade rushed toward him once again.

Another double-team!

"Whoosh!"

George immediately came up to set a screen.

"Whoosh!"

Blake used it to get around LeBron, then attacked Wade down the right side.

The two drove into the paint together, but with his overwhelming height advantage, Blake simply rose over Wade.

"Thud!"

He went up for the layup.

"Ha!"

Under the basket, "CB4" Bosh roared and jumped to challenge him.

Blake remained completely composed.

He hung in the air, twisted around Bosh's block, and flipped up a smooth reverse bank shot from the left side.

Was it good?

"Clang!"

No!

But George fought his way to the rebound!

Bosh and Chalmers immediately swarmed him, but George clutched the ball tightly against his chest and protected it.

Then he spotted an opening.

"Whoosh!"

He kicked the ball out to Curry on the left wing.

But "Flash" Wade had been waiting for exactly that opportunity.

He burst into the passing lane like lightning and leaped into the air.

Steal!

"Whoosh!"

The moment Wade came up with the ball, LeBron sprinted toward the other end.

"Oh no!"

Curry's eyes widened.

Without even thinking, he turned and sprinted after LeBron at full speed.

At the same time, Nash rushed toward Wade, trying to stop the break.

Wade didn't even look at Nash.

His eyes were locked on LeBron racing ahead.

Then he fired a long lead pass across more than half the court.

"Whoosh!"

The pass was right on target, sailing toward the rim and directly into LeBron's path.

"BOOM!"

LeBron ignored Curry in front of him, soared into the air, and hammered home the alley-oop!

"Oh my God!"

"Another LeBron-Wade connection!

"LeBron finishes the alley-oop for two, and the Heat have taken a two-point lead!

"And now...

"The Suns have only 4.2 seconds left!

"Phoenix is on the brink!"
