After three quarters, the Suns had poured in 44 points in the third, while the Heat scored 28.
Heat 86, Suns 84.
"Unbelievable!"
Jon Barry's rapid-fire, passionate commentary had turned into such a frenzy that his voice was already growing hoarse.
But he couldn't have cared less.
Blake's incredible performance, eight three-pointers and 30 points in a single quarter, had him completely carried away. All he could feel was sheer amazement.
"Are you kidding me?!"
Mark Jackson stared with his mouth wide open, equally stunned.
"This is the Finals!
"A rookie center just hit eight threes in a single quarter, each one from farther out than the last, and exploded for 30 points!
"He outscored the entire Heat team by himself!
"Do you understand how ridiculous that is?!
"What kind of monster are we watching?
"Blake's desire to win completely unleashed him in the third quarter. This rookie is unbelievable!"
"Exactly!"
Jon Barry was still fired up.
"I've never seen a rookie put up numbers this terrifying.
"Not even Magic Johnson, who reached the Finals as a rookie, ever did anything like this.
"Thirty points in one quarter. Forty-five through three!
"Behind Blake's incredible offensive explosion, the Suns, who trailed by 18 at halftime, made up 16 points in the third quarter alone!
"Now they're only down two!
"With a performance like this, Blake has dragged the Suns back from the brink and blown this game wide open again!"
"Whoa!"
A wave of stunned reactions swept through the stands.
"N-no way. They were down 18, and after just one quarter, it's only two?!"
"Eight threes and 30 points in one quarter?! What kind of numbers are those? How did he even do that? How is that possible?!"
"He's a center! How can a center shoot threes this well? This is ridiculous!"
"We're screwed! The lead is down to two! We practically had this game won! Blake, that damn monster!"
The Heat fans complained and cursed, growing increasingly agitated.
Anthony was equally stunned after watching the third quarter.
"That rookie Blake... once he gets going, he really is a complete monster!"
"Yeah."
Paul was just as shocked.
"Thirty points in one quarter. That's two more than the entire Heat team scored in the period.
"And 28 points in a quarter is already pretty good for a team. Miami didn't even play badly.
"Blake was just that incredible.
"He put up 30 in a quarter despite the Heat Big Three taking turns guarding him and even double-teaming him.
"That's scary."
Scary.
Truly scary.
It wasn't just the Suns fans. Even the Heat fans had been stunned by Blake's eight threes and 30-point explosion.
Erasing 16 points of the deficit in a single quarter had also crushed Miami's momentum.
This was still the Heat's home court.
They still had two chances to close out the series.
But Blake looked like a god of war.
His rampage was beginning to break Miami's confidence.
They were starting to feel as though they couldn't win.
As though there was simply no way to beat this unstoppable, seemingly invincible Blake.
Against him, the Heat were beginning to lose sight of any path to victory.
The Suns were the exact opposite.
After Blake's godlike 30-point quarter had nearly erased an 18-point hole, leaving them only two points behind, just one possession away, Curry, George, and every other Suns player were burning with fighting spirit.
The contrast between the two teams could not have been sharper.
And that difference in mentality quickly began to show on the court.
In the fourth quarter, the reserves opened the period.
Less than two minutes into the rotation, Carter, who had already been playing well tonight, suddenly erupted.
In just 1 minute and 36 seconds, he led the Suns on a 7-0 run.
Not only did they erase the two-point deficit, they surged ahead by five!
"Beep! Beep!"
Coach Spoelstra immediately called timeout.
The Heat Big Three returned earlier than planned.
Phoenix wasted no time either. They were determined to win tonight, so all of their starters came back as well.
The final battle of Game 6 had arrived early.
But with Miami's composure beginning to crack and Phoenix riding a tidal wave of momentum, the game was starting to tilt heavily in one direction.
Sure enough, the Suns continued to pull away.
Only 4 minutes and 3 seconds into the fourth quarter, Phoenix had already built an 11-point lead.
A double-digit advantage.
Tonight, victory suddenly seemed to be within their grasp.
For Miami, however, the situation was almost impossible to stomach.
At home, they had gone from leading by as many as 20 points to trailing by 11.
It wasn't over yet.
But the championship that had seemed almost theirs was, for the moment, slipping away.
That enormous swing, from heaven to hell, was taking its toll.
Even the Heat Big Three, each accustomed to being the leader of his own team, were struggling to keep their composure.
The role players were even closer to completely losing control.
Then, on the next possession...
"Clang!"
Blake missed another deep three.
Haslem established position under the basket and prepared to secure the rebound, but Frye got up higher and snatched it away right over his head.
"RAHH!"
Fired up by the dominant rebound, Frye roared straight at Haslem, releasing all the frustration he had bottled up while the Suns were trailing.
Haslem was already irritated and on edge.
Taking Frye's roar as mockery and disrespect, his temper immediately exploded.
"Smack!"
He lashed out, slapping Frye hard across the arm and violently knocking the ball out of his hands.
"Ugh!"
Frye grimaced from the pain.
"Beep! Beep!"
The whistle sounded immediately.
The referee called Haslem for a foul while fighting for the rebound.
Already hurting, Frye instantly lost his temper as well.
He pointed straight at Haslem's face and shouted, "F**k! What the hell are you doing, you no-hop dwarf?!"
"S**t!"
Haslem refused to back down.
He slapped Frye's finger away and cursed back, "You can't even hold onto the damn ball! All you know how to do is bark, you soft-ass punk!"
"F**k you!"
That pushed Frye over the edge.
He shoved Haslem hard, nearly sending the unprepared Haslem crashing to the floor.
Haslem staggered backward but managed to stay on his feet.
Then he snapped.
He charged straight at Frye with his fists raised, and the two immediately started fighting.
It sounds like a lot when described afterward, but everything happened in the blink of an eye.
Before anyone else could react, Frye and Haslem were already tangled up in a fight.
George was the first to rush over, trying to separate them.
But Haslem, already furious and completely out of control, threw a punch at George.
That did it.
George lost his temper too and joined Frye in going after Haslem.
At the same time, Chalmers rushed over.
He had originally intended to break up the fight as well, but the moment he saw George throwing hands at his teammate, he immediately jumped in.
In an instant, all four of them were brawling!
