"Hey, what are you thinking about! Answer my question now—why did you come to our company!"
Rachel Brooks demanded in a strong voice.
Jeff snapped out of his daze and said, "I am Jeff Sterling, the new chairman of Horizon Group."
Rachel Brooks's mouth fell open wide enough to fit an egg.
"I'm so sorry! Mr. Sterling! I was so stupid. The only one who could open the door with the key is you, Mr. Chairman! Please forgive me. It was Ms. Lang who said someone suspicious had come, so I..."
Hearing Rachel Brooks's explanation, Jeff was surprised.
Suspicious person?
"Damn it, the Harpers are following me! Those persistent bastards!"
Jeff immediately understood what was going on.
"Alright, you can go back to your work. Oh, by the way, I heard that Ms. Lang is the one of the most beautiful female executive in Riverforge. If she comes, have her come to my office immediately. I want to see just how beautiful our company's vice president really is."
Jeff gave instructions to Rachel Brooks.
"Yes, sir."
Rachel Brooks walked out of the chairman's office, went to the restroom on this floor, and called Victoria Lang.
"Ms. Lang."
Victoria Lang was already on her way to the company, using her Porsche's Bluetooth to talk to Rachel Brooks:
"Rachel, how's it going? Have you found out anything? Are there any suspicious people in the company?"
Rachel Brooks whispered, "We've checked everyone—there's no one suspicious, but there's someone you've always wanted to see!"
"Who?" Victoria Lang asked curiously.
Rachel Brooks was Victoria Lang's confidante, and Victoria Lang would tell Rachel many things in private.
Rachel Brooks said, "It's Chairman Sterling! Our group's newly appointed chairman! He's here at the company, and he said he wants to see you!"
"What?! Chairman Sterling is here at the company?!"
Victoria Lang was so excited she almost rear-ended a Land Rover.
Victoria Lang had been looking forward to meeting this newly appointed chairman for a long time!
So Victoria Lang stepped on the gas pedal hard, instantly increasing the car's speed to 100 mph, and kept overtaking other cars—all in order to meet Chairman Sterling as soon as possible!
Ten minutes later, Victoria Lang arrived at the lobby on the first floor of the CBD building.
"Sister Victoria!"
Ryan Caldwell, who had arrived early, saw Victoria Lang and immediately called out to her.
"Young Master Caldwell?" Victoria Lang recognized him.
Ryan stepped forward and asked with concern, "Ms. Lang, I was worried that Jeff might hurt you, so I came here specifically to help you. Let me go up with you!"
Victoria Lang had eaten with Ryan's father once. In her opinion, Ryan was a younger generation and not qualified to play in her league.
So Victoria Lang declined. "No need. I've checked, and there's no one suspicious in the company. I have urgent business to attend to, so I'll go upstairs first."

Victoria Lang ignored him and quickly took the elevator upstairs.

Victoria Lang nodded, glanced at the investment department manager and a graduate student intern from the legal department beside Rachel Brooks, and said:
"Why are you all here too?"
The manager and the graduate student were both women, and they were equally excited. "Rachel just said in the company group that our group's new chairman has arrived, and he's super handsome! We rushed over without even putting on makeup!"
The two women rented a house nearby, which was very close to the office.
Victoria Lang exclaimed in surprise, "Oh? How handsome?"
Rachel Brooks exclaimed excitedly, "He's even more handsome than male celebrities! And he's very young—only about twenty-three years old!"
