Chapter 1 - Rampage

"Damn it, seriously?" Riku stood in front of the cashier at his local bookstore. The man was just being a pain in the ass.

"I'm only missing two cents, old man," Riku slammed his hands on the desk, making the man flinch slightly. "Just fucking give me the book."

He was trying to buy the last and final volume of his favourite book called The Eternal Abyss.

"Hey, man, just stop—"

A man tried to interfere, but Riku shut it down instantly, already annoyed by the man behind the counter who just stayed silent the whole time.

"Shut the fuck up, dude. Why don't you mind your business?" He didn't even bother turning towards him; his eyes locked onto the cashier.

"Sorry, but I can't give it to you—"

"Can't?" Riku laughed as he slammed his fists again. The customers flinched; however, they didn't interfere.

"Listen here, old man," he glared him straight in the eyes. "Why don't you call your boss here so we can talk about what you did to those girls—"

Before he could even finish the sentence, an earth-shattering earthquake shook the entire building.

Lights inside flickered, and items fell to the ground. A bottle of soda fell out of a lady's hand and exploded, covering many customers in sugary liquid; however, the earth kept shaking uncontrollably.

"What the hell is going on?" Riku grabbed onto the countertop. Items kept falling off.

On the outside, buildings seemed to collapse. Not just on the outside; right above them, the roof seemed to start cracking apart.

"Fuck," the man from earlier behind him screamed out as windows appeared in front of all of them.

"Huh?!"

"What the fuck is this?!"

"Shit," Riku cursed as he saw a blue window appear in front of him as well.

[Summoning Ritual begins]

[Summoning Host, Riku Takahashi.]

As soon as Riku saw those words, everything changed around him, except for the people.

All five of the people in the store, including him and the cashier, appeared in a white room, no windows or anything. Despite that, there was infinite light where it should have been darkness.

"Where the hell are we?!" A lady screamed whilst hugging her child, holding her close to herself.

"Calm down—" The cashier tried to calm her down; however, she screamed his head off like a mad dog.

"DON'T TELL ME WHAT TO DO," The man who tried to stop Riku earlier looked shocked at the turn of events; however, Riku just sat still, looking at the white wall in front of him.

'Seriously?' To him, this was straight out of a novel, everything that had happened so far.

The people around him kept screaming and trying to ask for help, begging and crying like it would solve anything, but Riku just sat still.

A blue panel then materialised in front of them, including Riku.

[Reincarnation spots left: 1]

Then a gun materialised in front of Riku, who didn't hesitate to grab onto it, shocking the other participants.

[One person will have the chance to be reincarnated out of all the rooms; the most promising one will be chosen. Good luck!]

All four pairs of eyes turned towards Riku, who aimed the gun at them without hesitation.

"W-what are you doing?!"

"Drop it!"

Even the cashier screamed out; however, "Drop the damned gun, you idiot; you're going to hurt someone—" before he could finish that sentence, Riku blew his brains onto the wall.

The cashier's blood splattered as his head exploded, covering the wall and the other participants in his remains.

Riku's eyelids didn't even twitch; if he had to choose between killing random people and surviving, he would always pick the latter.

"WHAT THE FUCK?!"

"HELP, HELP,"

The man rushed towards Riku; however, he was met with the same fate; a bullet rushed through his skull, and his lifeless corpse hit the ground.

So did the other participants; Riku killed all of them in a heartbeat, shooting every single person, leaving him alone in the room.

"If I have to choose between others and myself, then I'll gladly choose myself," He dropped the gun onto the ground, then wiped the blood off his hands.

This wasn't the first time he had killed someone; the deaths of others didn't affect him as much now, only a little bit.

His stomach churled at the sight of the corpses; however, he held his urge in to throw up.

Then the corpses started flashing and disappeared.

"Huh,"

[Simulation successful.]

[Riku Takahashi will be reincarnated.]

[Objective: Prevent the destruction of €#€%#>]

[Villain system unlocked.]

[You have been chosen.]

[Reincarnation begins.]

He barely managed to finish reading the window before everything went dark.

'Really does feel like a novel,' His vision slowly returned, first the edges of his eyes, then everything.

Riku looked down, and he was sitting on a haystack; it felt pretty comfortable despite the sticky hay.

In the distance in front of him was a village; from what he could tell, since smoke rose from the chimneys in front of him.

'Wow,' Looking down at his tiny limbs, he realised that he really did get reincarnated.

He pulled a strand of his hair, which was matte black, contrary to his red hair colour back on Earth.

"So I'm a black-haired kid, nice," He pushed himself off the haystack; however, he landed face first on the ground, as his legs couldn't hold his weight yet since he wasn't attached to his body at all.

He pushed himself up, sitting down on the grass, which felt rough despite him having what could be called pants on.

Then the same blue system appeared in front of him.

[Name: Riku Takahashi.]

[Age: 12]

[Class: Locked]

[Villain system bonus activated!]

[Skills can be gained through sins committed.]

[Attributes can be gained through sins committed.]

[Items can be gained through sins committed.]

'What the fuck,' Many panels flashed, covering his vision of the village in front of him.

[Attribute boost unlocked.]

'Attributes?'

[Agility: 11]

[Vitality: 7]

[Mana: 3]

[Strength: 7]

[Endurance: 7]

[Wisdom: 3]

[Perception: 11]

[Willpower: 7]

'Wow, so many fucking things..' He tried to touch the panel; however, his tiny fingers went straight through it, like it wasn't even there in the first place.

'So my name stayed the same, but my age didn't,' he sighed. His legs were still shaking, so he couldn't possibly push himself any further.

'I need to wait until my brain gets connected to my muscles properly,' he said. For his fingers, it seemed to work just fine, but for his legs, they had to hold up his entire body.

However, to his surprise, contrary to the earlier blue panels, a red panel flashed in front of him.

[The Hero Hikai Saito has regressed again.]

'Did that motherfucking screen just say Hikai Saito…' he rubbed his eyes a couple of times, just to make sure he wasn't seeing things.

'The protagonist from The Eternal Abyss…I'm in the novel…' The corners of his lips turned upwards to smile. It was a disturbing smile.

But the screen under the name messed with his head even more.

[Distance from Host: 100+km.]
