I was gathered in the meeting office with Angelo, Eman, and Ci-n.
"Something doesent match up." Angelo muttered, the unsure tone in his voice making my blood run cold.
"Kuya— what's the matter?" I replied, frowning slightly.
"None of the suspects stories match up." Angelo paused.
"All of the suspects say the victim— Zoren Santos— was alive when they left.. however.." Angelo said, leaning in and looking at all 3 of us.
"They all claimed to leave at different times."
"Kuya— what if they all really did leave at different times? Maybe some stayed for a shorter time because of something?" Ci-N suggested.
"No." Angelo stopped.
"They all claimed to leave at the same time.. which is odd. It's like they're all hiding something. It's like they all had a motive.."
"Is it possible that.. all of them were involved?!" Eman pitched in, widening his eyes as if he had some master discovery.
I chuckled a bit, quickly wiping off the smile that was tugging at my lips when Angelo gave me the death stare.
It was odd.
Three timelines. None of them matched.
But something else felt wrong.
"They all mentioned the argument," I said slowly, looking at the printed out papers of all the things said by the suspect.
Angelo looked at me. "Yeah."
"But they're describing completely different arguments." I added, looking back and fourth between the papers.
""Keifer said the argument with the buisness discussions happened at 9:23." I paused.
"Keigan said the argument with the buisness discussions happened at 8:51.." I frowned.
"And Yuri said the argument with the buisness discussions happened at 9:43.. none of it adds up. Completely different times— I don't think it could have been mistaked that bad either.."
"Ate— what if they're bad at tracking time like you?" Ci-N joked, a wide smile tugging at both corners of his lips.
I gave him a death stare, which quickly make him back up and drown a bit.
Whatever it was..
Nothing matches.
This chapter was kinda boring!! So.. no chapter goal ✨
