Chapter 11 - First Accomodation (1)

The four stood up and looked at the new wooden raft housing a structure with three-meter-high walls and a slanted glass roof attached to the right side of the wooden cabin, their expressions completely dumbfounded.

They were sure this wasn't here just minutes ago!

Bear was stunned and asked his team members.

But none of them had seen it appear.

How did it suddenly show up? Was it still part of Miss Lane's ability? Because if that's the case, wasn't this too amazing?!

At the same time, Isla Lane walked out of the cabin and approached the four.

"Do you have any spare time? I'd like to offer you some work. I can pay you 30 points or 30 F-Class cores for six hours of work. You just need to help me clear the garbage and debris around."

Thirty F-Class cores just for clearing garbage?!

The four immediately agreed. "Sure, Miss Lane!"

The system provided her with four cleaning boats. She explained how they worked. Of course, the gloves and the saw were not provided, as those were personally customized gear for her.

Instead, the system provided another kind of saw, though it wasn't entirely as overpowered as hers.

[Regular Saw – Can cut through most metals, materials, and wood.]

Even so, it elicited a burst of shocked reactions from the four.

Watching the saw easily cut through steel, thick rotten wood, and metal scraps, and seeing the garbage disintegrate inside the boats' hatches, their eyes filled with astonishment.

They wanted to buy the saw.

Unfortunately, it wasn't available for sale.

Neither was the cleaning boat.

Bear was naturally disappointed until Isla mentioned that it could be rented.

[They can rent a modified cleaning boat without the garbage hatch for 30 F-Class cores per day. It is suitable for four people and has a separate storage space of 5 cubic meters. It also has a water beast shielding function, but they need to row it themselves.]

Bear, including Pal—who also had a family at home—were overjoyed.

"We promise to return the boat, Miss Lane. Give us a week—no, four days is enough! We promise to return it in four days!"

The four boarded the cleaning boat and started working right away. They were extremely enthusiastic. Their speed was much faster than Isla's yesterday.

In just an hour, they managed to clear forty meters in every direction.

At this speed, she could unlock the first accommodation today!

With an approving smile, Isla Lane strode toward the small planting bed, passing by a narrow wooden platform that served as a bridge between the main raft and the small greenhouse.

The small greenhouse has an area of 15 by 15 meters.

Opening the door, eight long planting beds stretched neatly across the space. Dark, solid soil packed deep within wooden frames immediately caught her eye. Narrow walking paths divided them, just wide enough for two people to pass side by side.

There were no pipes, no complicated irrigation systems.

Sunlight gleamed through the slanted glass roof, warming the eight planting beds inside. A small lightbulb was embedded in the beam beneath the glass roof.

Isla Lane opened the system shop. Sure enough, it was now unlocked—but the only seed not grayed out was wheat. One pack cost 2 points, and each pack was enough for one planting bed.

Her finger hovered over the wheat seed's "Buy" option, then froze as she remembered something important.

"How does this work? I should tell you that all my life has been spent fighting nightmares. I have no experience or knowledge in farming."

[The Small Greenhouse can be operated through a holographic screen. You only need to drag the wheat seed to a planting bed. You don't need to water or take care of it. The soil here comes from another resource planet. It is packed with nutrients that boost plant growth. The seeds are 'super seeds,' genetically modified seeds from another planet that can grow without water and under harsh conditions. You just need to sit back and wait for harvest.]

"That's good to hear."

Isla bought eight packs of wheat seeds. The seeds were instantly sent to her warehouse.

On the system interface beside the warehouse, a new icon appeared, shaped like a house. When she tapped it, the eight planting beds were displayed. Each bed had two options: Plant and Harvest.

Isla immediately planted the eight packs of wheat seeds.

After planting them, a timer appeared above each bed.

Isla stared blankly. In a stuttering voice filled with disbelief, she asked, "System… am I seeing this right? It only takes five minutes for the wheat to grow?"

She didn't know the normal harvest time for wheat, but five minutes was outrageous. What kind of magical soil and super seeds were these?

[Yes.]

Five minutes later, the wheat matured. The harvested wheat was automatically transferred to her warehouse, ready for milling.

"This isn't farming—it's cheating!" And to think she was the owner of this cheating small greenhouse. "System, where have you been all my life?"

Another hour and a half passed.

Isla Lane suddenly heard a system notification.

"What? They've already cleared 250 meters?"

[Congratulations on completing the second cleaning task.]

[Reward: Basic Cabin Unlocked.]
