"Seems doable, and your stick figures are quite endearing," Rosemary smirked.
"I told you not to make fun of it," Abby's cheeks flared, putting her hand through the sand and messing up her drawings.
"Just kidding," Rosemary states. Pulling out her clip from her pistol, she counted four rounds and filled it up to ten.
Abby rolled her eyes, trying to stay composed. "Everybody understand?"
"Yeah, I got it," Cody puts his rifle in his hands. "You need any ammo, Rosemary?" He cast a glance of determination down at her.
"I'm good," Rosemary says, starting to walk back towards the entrance of the pit.
"On my count everyone! 3, 2, 1!" Abby darted out to the left as everyone left the pit.
Gunfire echoed throughout the beach.

Abby pressed her hand into the dirt as she felt her feet slip. She darted to the left. Her eyes darted left and right, vigilantly scanning for Cody and Rosemary, both heading in opposite directions.
Shifting her revolver to the left, Abby's eyes met a young woman who was reloading behind a wooden stand about 10 feet from her. "I've got you, and I won't shoot if you just surrender."
The woman glares, "If I get as many as you southern people out we get a raise before we go to the field of battle."
"Suit yourself," Abby yelled as she cocked her revolver back twice. The sharp sound of two shots echoed. She successfully struck the woman, first in the shoulder and then in the knee.
The woman sat down and pulled a white handkerchief from a coat pocket, waving it to show that she was out.
Abby's gaze met Cody's, who gave a thumbs up. She then noticed two other men with their hands raised above their heads behind another piece of wood.
"You okay over there?" Cody yelled, pulling back to hammer on his rifle and scanning the area. "I think the other two may have run off."
Abby looked back to see that Rosemary made it to the large sunflowers in the distance. "She made it okay," she yelled over to Cody when she moved to the tree line without getting shot. "She's going to find Monica and hopefully here in a little bit we can rush up to the side and take the flag."
Abby ran across the sand as quickly as she could, keeping her silhouette low as she kneeled behind the wooden plank on the opposite side. "Keep your eyes peeled for any enemies who may be lurking. I think we should push towards the beach along the edge. What do you think?"
Cody kept his eyes traced down towards the stairs, "We're about a mile or two away. I was thinking maybe we should go back towards the edge of the flower line and try to flank them from that angle. That is, if there is anyone else left to flank."
"I like that idea," Abby says, her breath steadying. She looks towards the large flower line. "What about the water or along the ridge line? The water line will take us to stairs behind the Fort and we could hopefully launch a sneak attack."
"I don't like it," Cody responded. "There is no place to hide along the ridge line. If they fire at us we are going to have to run for it."
"I know this is going to sound bad, but why don't we split up?" Abby insisted. "I can handle whatever is left on the coastline. I have enough ammo." She opened the cylinder on her revolver as she took out the speed loader from her pocket and slipped in six more simulation rounds.
"Monica isn't going to like that," Cody insisted. "Oh snap, I see somebody." Cody pulled back the rifle's bolt and fired two shots, both striking a young woman in the right arm.
The woman screamed as she grabbed her shoulder. She traced her pistol towards Cody pulling back. Boom. Boom. Boom. Boom.
Abby maneuvered around the backside of the wooden structure and discharged two more shots from her revolver. Splat! The final bullet found its mark, hitting the woman's leg as she fell down, clutching her knee.
"I give! I give!" the woman yelled, holding up a white handkerchief.
"You okay?" Abby bellowed, her eyes still traced on the woman about 15 yards in front of her. "Cody? You alright?"
"I'll be better in a few hours. And it looks like you're going to be able to do the rest of this on your own. I have faith in you." Cody brushed off the paint from his chest, glaring up at her. "She got me three times in the chest before I could get cover."
"Okay! Maybe I should pop her in the kneecaps for good measure. You gonna be alright back here?" Abby bent down, her eyes meeting Cody's. She let go of a sincere smile. "You're a good partner. Maybe there is some intelligence underneath that thick skull of yours."
Cody tried to contain his laughter, hanging his head low. "Get going sweet cheeks." Lifting his head, he winked.
Abby nodded, holstering her pistol and pulling her rifle in front of her. "See you soon." Abby darted towards the sunflowers, keeping her feet near the edge. Cody had a point. I need to keep myself covered. Running up the hill, she saw the edge of the mountain come into view. Running to the left, she jumped down ten feet gripping her feet on soft sand. I don't think there is anyone nearby.
