My complaint fell on deaf ears because Miss Melissa clearly did not like me. She never gave me the chance to say if I wanted Trystan as my partner or not, and she did not care about my opinion at all.
I did not push the matter because Zane told me things would change later, maybe after the excursion. Professor Azrael was the one who handled the pairing, and I hoped I could talk to him about it when the time came.
I looked back at the board and read the topic written in bold letters under the course title: Interspecies Diplomacy.
"What do you understand by this topic, new boy?" Lady Melissa asked, her eyes fixed on me.
