"Who Am I?"
They ask me every day,
"Die Yuan, why do you change so much?
Why does every day reveal
a different side of you?"
I only smile.
Because I never promised the world
that I would be easy to understand.
I open my heart,
not because I am weak,
but because I want to see
what people truly are.
I am not the person
you think you see.
I am the question
your mind cannot answer,
the shadow behind the smile,
the man walking a road
only he can understand.
I do not live by the expectations of others.
I walk according to my own heart.
Call me selfish.
Call me strange.
Call me whatever you desire.
This life is mine.
Why should I spend it
living inside someone else's judgment?
People may speak beautifully to my face,
then turn around
and say something completely different.
So I learned—
Words are easy.
Promises are cheap.
But the truth is revealed
when no one is watching.
I am not here to become
the person people want to see.
I am here to see the world
with my own eyes.
For the things I truly cherish,
I can sacrifice anything.
Not because I do not understand the cost—
but because I know
some things are worth more
than the price of keeping them.
You may never understand me.
And perhaps,
that is exactly how I want it.
Because I am not a book
written for everyone to read.
I am Die Yuan—
a man who walks by his own will,
thinks with his own mind,
lives by his own rules,
and when the world asks,
"Who are you?"
I will simply answer—
"I am whoever I choose to be."
