Chapter 8 - CH7, It Final Begins (3)

~Scene Continues, Soutarou POV~

'Enough about my racist past, let's talk about my racist future- I mean let's talk about my future plans…'

Just as Soutarou was about to continue, light poured through the window blinding him visually for a moment and then emotionally as well.

'The sun's already up? Hey, just how long was I up reading?'

'5:55am? What the fuck! Oh hell no I need my baby me sleep time.'

Running into his room Soutarou yanked his clothes off and quickly changed and threw himself into bed without even brushing his teeth.

'I can't ruin my sleep schedule dammit!'

'I must follow the sacred words! Recite them as I fall asleep, Soutarou! Come on!'

'My name is Soutarou Morita. I'm 3 years old. My house is in the northwestern central section of Konoha, where all the villas are, and I am not married. I work as an employee for the "Soutarou is Handsome" department store, and I get home every day by 8 PM at the latest. I don't smoke, but I occasionally drink. I'm in bed by 11 PM, and make sure I get eight hours of sleep, no matter what. After having a glass of warm milk and doing about twenty minutes of stretches before going to bed, I usually have no problems sleeping until morning. Just like a baby, I wake up without any fatigue or stress in the morning. I was told there were no issues at my last check-up. I'm trying to explain that I'm a person who wishes to live a very quiet life. I take care not to trouble myself with any enemies, like winning and losing, that would cause me to lose sleep at night. That is how I deal with society, and I know that is what brings me happiness. Although, if I were to fight I wouldn't lose to anyone.'

'Amen.'

Soutarou then proceeded to fall asleep like a baby and woke up exactly eight hours later…

'I swear I'll go to sleep by eleven dammit!'

~One Week Later, Next Nono tutoring Session, Soutarou POV~

Soutarou carefully cleaned up the house in preparation for the so-called esteemed guest, before finally laying out an extra pair of slippers than he usually did.

'I wonder if I could just expand my passive sensory field… I remember that in the anime it was a slightly modified ram handsign… hmm… I'm pretty sure this should be the easiest application of projecting chakra.'

'Plus I've already gone well beyond what Nono-sensei left me, I solved all those problems in moments, pulled shit out of my ass for the other historical assignments using previous world knowledge plus general knowledge about this world, as for the kage I know them better than this textbook does.'

'Meditation? I spent a couple hours everyday doing that in conjunction with chakra extraction. Sensory exercises? I spent most of my time at home blinded, deaf, tasteless, feelingless, and smellless.'

'Oh yeah… then you know I might've spammed the hell out of the three academy techniques… Although I can only use them a few times thanks to my chakra still developing, it is what it is. Practice makes perfect!'

'As for what I found with projecting chakra… It's such a weird feeling though now I get why we have handsigns… without them projecting chakra is like trying to juggle a thousand things at once. So not only do I have to worry about handsign speed, but projection speed is important too?'

'Yep. That's basically the conclusion I came to though I'm very curious as to how that'd translate into a sensory technique. If I remember correctly Minato had a sensory technique where he touched the ground and released vibrations into the ground and sensed it that way. So what if I do echolocation? Hmm chakralocation? Yeah… waves of chakra with myself as the receiving tower though I wonder how that'll translate with buildings and whatnot…'

'Ram'

Forming the ram handsign Soutarou with his basic chakra control attempted to send waves off of himself causing his chakra to form and then sputter out just as quickly…

'Pity. Well it's fine I suppose Nono-sensei is also a sensory-nin so if nothing else I can just learn from her or I could spend my time finally sorting that storage closet full of techniques… Either way, no real loss.'

Turning his head towards the door, Soutarou's eyes narrowed as he memorized the small chakra source next to Nono-sensei's.

'Kabuto Yakushi.'

'Will you be a friend? Or are you destined to be foe?'

Soutarou's eyes flashed with uncertainty, before locking into a gaze of extreme determination. All before he fixed his expression and went back to that expression Nono-sensei always made. Innocence and kindness.

Even before a knock rang out Soutarou opened the door and showed an expression of happiness and kept his gaze on the small white haired, black eyed boy with oversized round glasses trailing behind Nono.

Soutarou greeted both, "Good afternoon, Nono-sensei. And who might you be?"

The boy glanced at Nono before responding lightly, "I'm Kabuto."

Soutarou smiled and welcomed them both in before motioning for both to follow him in. Soutarou then said, "Kabuto-san, you're older than me right?"

Kabuto nodded his head unsurely, before saying, "I'm officially turning five soon. Though technically I'm only one."

Soutarou looked puzzled before he realized something and said, "Ah I see you were born on a leap year?"

Kabuto nodded and said, "I believe so… I am just an orphan so there's never certainty behind anything…"

Soutarou nodded understandingly before saying, "If that's the case you're always more than welcome to stay with me Kabuto-san. This big house is a lot of work by myself, plus company would be nice."

Kabuto's eyes widened and he looked at Nono while Soutarou showed a hopeful expression, while internally he was thinking, 'This already reveals that while he's well mannered and intelligent he's still a child at heart. Manageable.'

Soutarou then said something that surprised them both and said, "Nono-sensei is the closest person to me for her to bring you here means she values you similarly… So of course you're welcome here. If there's issues with your citizenship, I as a third-generation Konoha citizen by law have the authority to be your guarantor."

'I remember in canon Kabuto in conjunction with Orochimaru changed his name to Yakushi by making Nono his adoptive mother to get his citizenship approved. If I can make him a citizen now I cut off another issue and if he really is an unstable element I can keep him close to keep an eye on. By forcing him close to me Hiruzen will keep Danzo away from Kabuto and Nono told me she's to be by my side by order of the hokage until I graduate from the academy. Which means if I drag out graduation. I can realistically keep her away from Danzo for at least sevenish years? Though realistically I want to graduate around my third year… so about four years. In that time Danzo will replace all of Nono's networks meaning her value is just to be an orphanage manager. Especially since even Danzo isn't foolish enough to not realize that I'll have bonded really well with Nono which also means Hiruzen will intervene if Danzo does try something. So on all fronts I should have the advantage if I force Kabuto into my household.'

Kabuto smiled, but then shook his head and said, "I'm sorry I still have to help Nono-sensei with the orphanag-"

Soutarou's expression tightened for a split second before he responded calmly, "Is money the issue? My parents left me with more money than I'll ever need. If that's the case I can make an 80million ryo donation to the orphanage and still be left with enough money to get married properly when I get older."

Soutarou outwardly put on a proud expression, while internally cursed, 'Damn you Danzo! Can't you fund that damn orphanage? Screw it Kabuto is worth much more than a measly eighty million ryo… but… but my dream of being a wealthy third-generation child! Ah what a pity. 80% of my wealth just to keep Kabuto in the village. I swear I'll squeeze Kabuto dry for every penny he has after this!'

Nono's eyes shook and she quickly shook her head and said, "How could that be. Soutarou-kun your parents left that money for you and your future generations-"

Soutarou turned to Nono and said, "Money can be made back, but the children at the orphanage are suffering even if you didn't say anything. I would eventually make a donation of at least 40 million. But if even an orphan at an orphanage like Kabuto has to work for it while I live in luxury then… I'll give it all away! I know you won't agree if I gave it all away so instead I'm meeting you in the middle at 80% of my inheritance. Don't argue with me Nono-sensei. I already made arrangements and this is payment for tutoring me and for the fact that I'll be dragging Kabuto into my household too. Essentially robbing you of a good helper."

Soutarou knew he had to press the attack while he still could elude Nono's reasoning rather than her emotion and he said, "Nono-sensei like I've always said I have no one left in this world. You are the closest person to me so how could I let you and those you care for suffer? Your friend is my friend. Isn't this the first hokage, Hashirama-sama's will of fire? That we all are all one family? So then don't think of this as someone giving you money, but rather your younger brother is helping you with your struggles and don't even try to pay me back."

'Dammit. Dammit. My inheritance. Eighty Million is a small sum? Who said! Dammit. Eighty S-rank missions… Dammit. I swear I'm getting back every cent from that fox monkey and that one eyed schemer or my name isn't Soutarou Morita! Repossession of Konoha's funds. Yes, I'm making up for all that money monkey ate for his Sarutobi clan.'

Nono was at a loss for words, while Kabuto just looked flabbergasted. Before Nono said, "Why… Why do you want Kabuto to become a family member? You've just met him it can't be that-"

Soutarou shook his head and said, "I already decided this last week, I more or less understood that whoever you were bringing was someone you cared for alot. I even talked to him and asked him questions in such a way to test his intentions. So if he had agreed to stay right away I wouldn't have been willing to donate so much and even welcome him in so readily. Not only that, but the fact that he works hard for the orphanage at his age… It shows the will of fire. As well as the exact kind of kindness and will that Konoha needs, and more so that would be an excellent friend and someone who'd have my back. So don't think I'm doing this on a whim. You should know of all people Nono-sensei everything I do is calculated, even if I seem silly at times."

Nono looked at Soutarou with a deep look of confusion, before nodding and saying, "You always do the weirdest things… yet somehow I have a feeling that everything really will work out for you. That you'll change this world somehow. Alright Soutarou, I agree though I'll increase my tutoring sessions so I can come see Kabuto and you as well. If you two end up not getting along then I'll take Kabuto back with me-"

Soutarou smiled before interrupting and saying, "That won't be necessary. If nothing else at the very least I intend to help Kabuto become a citizen and that along with your recommendation as a Jonin will seal the deal won't it Nono-sensei?"

Nono looked conflicted again before saying, "You really did your research didn't you… Reading through laws at four years old… are you sure you're not an adult stuffed in a child's body?"

Soutarou deadpanned and said, "Sorry Nono-sensei, but if you think I'm an adult you should see me make handsigns again."

Nono pursed her lips before chuckling at Soutarou's reference again and nodding. The trio then spent the rest of the day filling paperwork and going to Konoha office buildings to verify the transfer of money to the Orphanage and then Kabuto's transfer from the external orphan to the internal one as he was now a citizen of Konoha, before then having Kabuto be adopted by the Morita family with Soutarou acting as the family head and officiating several things before Kabuto was finally established as Soutarou's adopted older brother.

By the time they returned both Kabuto and Soutarou were a bit worn out and both had bandaids over their thumbs showing just how many documents they had to bloodily print.

Soutarou then muttered, "Kabuto… if someone ever says we need paperwork for you to be my brother again I'm changing you to a distant cousin who's just living with me… I swear I can't feel my thumb anymore…"

Soutarou pouted and held his thumb in overly-dramatic fashion earning him a deadpan expression from Nono and Kabuto's genuine laughter.

Kabuto then said, "Hey, hey I'm the older brother technically speaking now."

Soutarou deadpanned and said, "It's a pleasure to meet you distant cousin."

Kabuto laughed and Nono chuckled too as the three looked at each happily before Soutarou lit up as if he remembered something and he said, "Hey Nono-sensei weren't we supposed to have a session today?"

Nono then slapped her forehead and said, "I thought you said you had it all planned out?"

She sighed and then motioned toward herself and said, "Come on then we don't have much time left, let me see your worksheets."

Soutarou handed them over without much hesitation and then began forming handsigns to display the jutsu which caused Nono's expression to change into one of shock as Soutarou fluently then used the substitution jutsu in conjunction with the clone and transformation jutsu. He first turned himself into Kabuto then used the substitution jutsu to turn a pencil into a transformed clone of Kabuto and then he dispelled that as well. Kabuto and Nono watched in shock as Soutarou then formed a total of six clones with the clone technique. Only then did Soutarou look up at Nono and over at Kabuto realizing he might have overdone it.

Nono sighed and clutched her forehead and said, "Soutarou… when did you even figure out how to project chakra? Sure I understand you copying my chakra flow with your sensory field, but projecting chakra is a delicate process that everyone needs guidance with at first…"

Soutarou scratched his head and said, "Huh…"

Nono smacked her head while Kabuto just watched with a dropped jaw as he thought,
