~Minato Namikaze POV~
Minato smiled softly as he thought about everything that led up to this moment.
At the same time Minato worried about the Nine Tails and his to-be born son, Naruto. Naruto Namikaze. Waiting patiently he watched as Lady Biwako and an ANBU medical ninja, named Taji, smoothed Kushina, slowly urging her to push, while the other focused on monitoring her vitals and the baby's vitals. The minutes ticked by as slowly, but surely a small blonde head came out of Kushina. A hearty cry rang out as the baby cried for the first time.
The nurse happily pronounced, "It's a healthy young boy, my lady. My lord."
Minato walked over before taking the small figure into his arms and smiling. Before Lady Biwako gave him that look that said, 'not yet.'
Minato chuckled and handed over the child to her. Before lightly reminding the struggling Kushina, "Kushina… We don't have much time… I must reinforce the seal-"
Minato's eyes hardened in horror as a black cloaked figure, with dark almost ominous chakra appeared. Holding Naruto in one hand with a kunai in the other. The figure deeply spoke, "Finally, the time has come. Nine Tails."
At the man's feet lay two bloodied corpses. Biwako Sarutobi. Taji. The man tossed the Naruto's wailing little self into the air, just as Minato was about to tell the man to calm down, all while thinking,
In that moment the man threw Naruto all thoughts stopped in Minato's mind as he instinctively teleported to his nearest Flying Thunder God marker only to notice that the blanket that Naruto had just been covered with was now covered in denoted explosive tags. Throwing the blanket to the ground Minato teleported away from the supposedly secure safehouse and into the forest. His mind calmed as he saw Naruto's now safe little figure. Teleporting rapidly across Konoha he delivered Naruto into the pre-prepared crib that Kushina had chosen out a few days ago. Just as he was about to continue a massive space-time signature caught his attention as did a space-time interruption.
Minato's eyes widened in realization.
Teleporting as fast as he could, he arrived just before a massive paw was about to crush Kushina. Teleporting her away and back to safety. Before teleporting her to Naruto's side.
Kushina groaned and mumbled, "N-naruto…"
Her eyes wary and her lifeforce rapidly decreasing.
Minato's expression darkened as fury clouded his mind, before he made his mind. He threw on his hokage haori with the kanji 四代目火影 (Fourth Hokage) embolden on it. He spoke with soft, yet absolute assurance, "I'll be back."
In his hand was a three pronged kunai, with the words "Sword of Shinobi Love" written on it, before he disappeared in a golden flash…
~Unknown Man POV~
"Lord Madara… All is in place…"
A singular glowing red eye with three comas swirled behind a mask with a singular opening as he spoke in a deep voice, "Finally. This accursed village will be eradicated and I'll be one step closer to the Eye of the Moon Plan… the Infinite Tsukuyomi…."

As Minato saved the newborn Naruto, the masked man whisked away the struggling red haired woman, Kushina. Her exposed stomach revealed an extremely weakened seal. With the masked man's hands lighting up in several seals as the surrounding mountains turned into a system of pulleys that began extracting the tailed beast out of the woman. Quicker and quicker until a ghastly shape of chakra began to form a large orange face, with immensely sized teeth and glowing red eyes that began to swirl with the same three comas as the man's
Soon enough the beast was freed from Kushina, causing a defeated look to appear in her eyes as she began to collapse.
The masked man looked with curiosity muttering, "The enviable lifeforce of the Uzumaki clan extends her suffering… How amusing… Well, let's not let her suffer any longer in this fake world."
Without even ordering the nine tail's claw crashed into the place where Kushina once was, before the masked man's eye narrowed, "Minato… Namikaze… No matter. Let him have his false hope. In the end he will always be too late afterall."
The man disappeared in a swirl of a vortex. Reappearing somewhere inside of Konoha's eastern section. Before forming handsigns and slamming his hands down.
"Summoning Jutsu: Nine Tails!"
The man jumped up and watched as the beast was let to rampage on its own.
He watched as shinobi rushed towards the beast, as villagers ran away in horror, and the chaos unfolded.
~Hiruzen Sarutobi POV~
A red flare shot into the sky drawing his attention immediately.
The ominous feeling got worse and then another tide of chilling chakra crashed in waves over the village, to that even non-sensory ninja could finally feel it. Not to mention the massive orange figure with flying tails.
Hiruzen dropped everything he was doing and burst out of the window, thanks to his fast reaction of putting his gear on the moment he felt that ominous feeling. Rushing towards the beast he paused for a moment slamming his hand down.
A long bo staff appeared in Hiruzen's hands that without hesitation he extended and used it to launch a massive strike, effectively pushing the nine tails straight out of Konoha's walls. Before he finally landed with a grim expression on his face as he recognized the glowing sharingan in the tailed beast's eyes.
Hiruzen's expression tightened before he fired a black fire into the sky. Causing hawks that were swirling the Konoha air space to immediately screech.
Hiruzen commanded loudly, while enhancing his voice with chakra, "By order of the Third Hokage, all Jonin are to retreat to form defensive lines around the Hokage Mountain and to continue evacuation orders! Only Elite Jonin are to join the battlefield and suppress the beast. We cannot kill the nine tails, we must seal it!"
Hearing the order many Jonin who were preparing to engage backed off, while the Elite Jonin sped up and soon with Hiruzen at the forefront a collection of clan leaders and Elite Jonin grimly faced off against the beast, intending to drive it further from the Village gates to minimize the damage…
~Minato Namikaze POV~
Minato's golden blonde hair fluttered in the wind, as he grimly stared at the destruction below. Then at the rampaging, but already distant nine tails. It too stared back at him.
The beast abandoned toying with those around him as it began to form a purple black chakra dense sphere. To which Minato immediately began forming handsigns to form a massive sealing array. As the sphere of chakra was about to hit the Hokage Mountain, Minato forced it away.
He redirected the bomb as far as he could, expending more chakra than he intended.
Minato's expression turned grave as he thought,
Minato on instinct swung his three-pronged kunai behind him, only for his arm to be caught an a mysterious jutsu to begin pulling him away somewhere.
Just as he was about to be pulled into the jutsu he teleported away with an even graver expression than before. As he rolled on the ground near a flying thunder god kunai he had thrown early.
Minato slowly forced himself up as the masked man reappeared in a vortex of some sort.
As Minato yanked his Flying Thunder God imprinted kunai out of the ground his mind flashed back to an old historical figure…
Minato's eyes narrowed and he inquired, "Are you… Madara Uchiha?"
The masked man waited and slapped chains onto his wrists before saying, "Now that I've freed the Nine Tails, you people have no hope left!"
Both men charged at each other with the masked man's arms spreading out while Minato charged with his Kunai in hand before stabbing out… only to phase right through him and run into the chains the man had behind him. The masked man pulled his arms forwards, almost trapping Minato in the chains before Minato jumped out with an extremely fast bodyflicker.
Charging at each other the two men moved close with the masked man's hands going up in a grasping manner. While simultaneously Minato threw his Flying Thunder God kunai through the man and formed a glowing orb of chakra in his off hand. Just as the masked man's hand reached Minato he disappeared and reappeared right above the man and slammed the orb into him along with a miniscule seal that formed on the man.
'Flying Thunder God, Second Step!'
'Rasengan!'
Minato watched the masked man raggedly jumped back and away from him, clutching his arm, and taking deep breaths.
The masked man began to say, "You got me… I should have never let my guard down-"
At that exact moment Minato teleported right to the man and slammed his hand into the masked man's stomach revealing a large array of fuinjutsu.
The masked man's eyes widened as he muttered, "A contract seal?"
Minato said confidently, "With this the Nine Tails no longer belongs to you!"
As the masked man disengaged with his arm turning into white sludge he spoke, "Injuring me and separating the Nine Tails from me… You're worthy of your title Fourth Hokage. Regardless, He shall be mine one day. I shall rule this world, and there are plenty of ways to do it."
The man said as he slowly disappeared into a vortex…
Minato on the other hand had no time to worry about the man or celebrate his victory as he then saw the now suppressed Nine Tails forming another tailed beast bomb, this time with even more power. Minato grimly formed hand signs before slamming his hands down.
'Summoning Jutsu!'
With a great crash he teleported a large toad right on top of the Nine Tails causing the massive toad to crash into the beast and throwing it off balance. Before teleporting the then fallen nine tails as far away from the village as he could at that moment. A super massive explosion rang out from outside the village. As Hiruzen Sarutobi and other Elite Jonin were just celebrating the arrival of Minato they grimly realized what was going to happen as a massive golden chained barrier then began forming.
Kushina, whom Minato had teleported to himself, breathed difficultly as she clutched Naruto.
Minato grimly said, "I will seal away half of the nine tails with the reaper death seal… as for the other half… I-I intend to seal it within Naruto.."
Kushina stared and cried, "Why? Why must… I don't want Naruto to… to experience that suffering… to be a Jinchuriki. You know what'll happen to him… so why Minato?"
Minato apologetically looked at Kushina and shook his head before saying, "This attack… this affront to our village… and that man who attacked… there's a greater scheme going on here… But I know… I know this child…Our child… he will overcome it all…"
Kushina's eyes shook before Minato began forming hand seals.
"Reaper Death Seal!"
Pulling the suppressed Nine Tails chakra into himself and the Shinigami's path, Minato groaned at its weight before stumbling over to Kushina and Naruto at a small sealing shrine he had summoned. He then quickly formed one handed seals for a summoning in one hand while in the other he began to seal his chakra and Kushina's chakra inside of a seal. Just as he was about to finish the fuinjutsu. The now shrunken Nine Tails's claw struck through him and Kushina almost reaching Naruto before being halted by the two parents. Minato then completed the seal and slammed it onto the newborn Naruto's stomach.
'Eight Trigrams Seals!'
The Nine Tail's form was slowly sucked into the new seal and both Minato and Kushina then further reinforced it and imprinted their chakra into it before Minato looked at the small toad he had summoned.
"Gerotora. I'm sending you back to Mount Myoboku… I entrust master Jiriaya with Naruto… My legacy…"
~Narration~
With that the Fourth Hokage and the Second Jinchuriki of the Nine Tails had unfortunately passed away, along with many more in the horrific events of the Nine Tails Attack. And so the tale of Naruto began… Or was it now destined to be the tale of Soutarou Morita? Only time will tell.
***Author's Note: This from memory, not exact, but Minato's fight with Obito is too epic not to add so come on. There's also differences from canon on purpose, if you noticed. You noticed. If you didn't then you'll eventually be in for a surprise.***
