Chapter 4 - Chapter 4

"Cough... damn you!"

The Spider Amazon spat the words through a mouthful of black bile. Using its eight chitinous appendages as improvised crutches, it forced its mangled body upright.

Tap. Tap. Tap.

The sharp, rhythmic staccato of its insectoid limbs striking the pavement echoed through the alley. Driven by a cocktail of primal fury and predatory instinct, it lunged toward the man in the golden armor. But as it reached the threshold of his presence, the air itself seemed to solidify.

BOOM.

The monster slammed into an invisible wall of distorted space-time. It clawed frantically at the shimmering air, its serrated pincers scraping against nothingness, unable to gain a single inch.

Rin Kuga, now fully ascended as Ohma Zi-O, stood encased in his dark-gold plate. He tilted his head slightly, his voice a low, terrifying hum that resonated from the very foundations of the earth.

"What's the matter, little spider? You can't even reach me, can you?"

Beneath the visor, Rin felt the intoxicating pulse of the power. To him, the creature wasn't a threat; it was a glitch in the timeline. With a mere flick of his intent, he could erase its existence from the past, present, and future.

Yet, he had only just arrived in this world. He had claimed the zenith of all Rider powers—the Ohma Zi-O Driver—and to end the performance so soon felt like a waste. A King deserved a moment of levity before the execution.

Let's see how much you can endure.

Rin extended his right hand, palm down, toward the struggling beast.

"Hmph."

He flicked his wrist downward.

The atmosphere buckled. An astronomical surge of gravitational force slammed into the Amazon.

CRUNCH!

The creature didn't just fall; it was flattened. The pavement beneath it disintegrated into a deep, jagged crater as the monster was crushed into the earth by the weight of a dying star. This was the true nature of the King of Time: the absolute manipulation of fundamental forces.

Rin watched with clinical detachment. Even against a bottom-tier opponent, testing the limits of this armor provided a grim satisfaction.

Further back, Utaha Kasumigaoka watched the spectacle with wide, trembling eyes. The sight of the nightmare that had nearly consumed her being toyed with like a common insect left her breathless. She felt a dizzying mixture of terror and salvation. This man—this golden sovereign—had plucked her from the jaws of despair, but she couldn't help but wonder if she had traded one monster for something far more dangerous.

Rin sauntered over to the crater and looked down at the twitching, flattened mass of chitin. He knelt beside it, his movements fluid and regal.

"What's wrong, little spider? Can't get up? Do you need me to help you?"

His tone was mocking, almost playful. Unlike the tyrannical weight of the original Ohma Zi-O, Rin's demeanor carried a streak of cynical irreverence. However, as the golden armor hummed against his skin, he felt the cold, domineering shadow of the Demon King beginning to bleed into his own soul.

Suddenly, the novelty vanished. A wave of boredom washed over him; there was no point in wasting further effort on a creature that couldn't even grasp the concept of his power.

"Enough. I'm bored. Goodbye, little spider."

Rin didn't move a muscle. He simply willed the end. Before the Amazon could even let out a final shriek, its physical form began to pixelate, its atoms unraveling into nothingness until only the cold night air remained.

The battle was over. Rin stood up and reached for the Ohma Zi-O Driver once more. With a mechanical click, the armor dissolved into a swirl of golden particles that faded into the darkness.

Rin Kuga returned to his human form, his expression unreadable. "As expected," he muttered to himself. "A pawn like that can't even serve as a proper stress test."

Without a second glance, he turned and began to walk away, passing Utaha as if she were a mere fixture of the street.

"Wait! Please... tell me your name!"

The girl's voice was clear and melodic, cutting through the silence of the alley. Rin paused, his back still turned to her. He didn't look back; he simply adjusted his collar, a faint smile tugging at the corner of his mouth.

"I'm sorry, but... I'm not particularly interested in chubby girls."

He didn't wait for a response. He simply continued down the street, disappearing into the shadows of the city.

Utaha Kasumigaoka froze. The gratitude she had felt only moments ago was instantly incinerated by a flare of sheer, indignant disbelief. She looked down at her slender, black-clad legs and her elegant figure, then back at the empty street where the man had vanished.

"Chubby!??" she hissed, her teeth clenching as her face flushed a deep crimson. "Hmph. Just you wait... I'll make sure you fall so hard for me you'll never be able to stand again."
