Chapter eight:
Scarecrow Metallo stared at Kara Danvers body for a few moments, before they turned and walked towards the exit.
"You sure that this would work?" Said Metallo.
"Absolutely. Even Overgirl has fears. Mr. Corbin, and you will witness the destructive force of them at first hand." Replied Scarecrow.
The two stepped beside the next door beside the room they had just exited. Scarecrow approached the console next to it, and punched a series of digit's. The iron doors slowly opened to reveal a room similar to the first, but smaller.
The two were greeted by three other people. One was dressed in metallic armor, whose head was a skull with fire. The second had skin of purple and blue. The third, only female, had light blue skin and dressed in tight black leather.
"Atomic Skull, Parasite and Livewire the deed is done. As I speak, the toxin is making it's way through her bloodstream. It's only a matter of time before it takes full effect." Said Scarecrow.
"And then we crush her, right?" Replied Atomic Skull.
"Quite." Said Scarecrow.
"Hope it's sooner than later. I'm so hungry." Replied Parasite.
"What about me? I'm all out of juice. I need to get charged up!" Said Livewire.
"Soon, my friends. Soon." Replied Scarecrow.
"Just think about it, guys. We're finally going to be the one's to take down Overgirl, once and for all." Said Metallo.
"Yeah, where have I heard that before?" Replied Livewire.
"Ah, but this time, the police force won't only allow you honor, they'll practically be begging you!" Said Scarecrow.
"Yeah, but it's still Overgirl. She ain't no pushover." Replied Atomic Skull.
"If it's brute strength you're worried about, then the final member of the team shall provide it." Said Scarecrow.
"Who is the final member we've been hearing about?" Replied Parasite.
"All in good time. Now, we must all stay here until we are given the signal." Said Scarecrow.
Scarecrow turned and walked towards the door. Pressing a big red button on the wall, he sealed the door, before placing his hand up to his ear.
"Luthor. Overgirl is down. I repeat, Superwoman is down." Replied Scarecrow.
"Excellent. Inform me when she's awake." Said Lex Luthor.
"Will do." Replied Scarecrow.
"You know, I'm not sure this is going to work. Even if we get Overgirl, what's to stop one of her pals from saving her?" Said Parasite.
"They won't be able to, not this time. When she sees her greatest fear come to life, she will become so enraged, that not even those she cares about will be safe." Replied Scarecrow.
"Trust me, my friends, Overgirl will be exposed, she will die.... and no one not even Batman will be able to stop me this time!" Said Scarecrow.
