Chapter 13 - Chapter Twelve: The Inevitable Encounter on the Borders of Dimas

Preparations in the Kingdom of Kong:

In the opulent throne room of the Kingdom of Kong, Queen Elizabeth Frankenstein sat upon her throne, "Sanguine Castle," her features a mixture of stern wisdom and barely concealed anxiety. Before her stood General Batori Dusk, a man of captivating voice and extensive military experience, and beside him, Princess Elena Frankenstein, whose sharp eyes reflected unwavering determination. They were surrounded by a battalion of soldiers, ready to march forth. Elizabeth Frankenstein: (in a voice that combined authority and warning) "Batori, according to the information we have so far, the dungeon that appeared on the border between the two kingdoms, due to the incident that occurred more than two years ago, is not just a gateway for ordinary monsters. Our informants said that a dungeon appeared last time between the borders of the Kingdom of Union and its ally, the Kingdom of Amedonia. This means that the Kingdom of Union will likely send scouts to this dungeon, and I suspect one of its leaders will be there, if it is filled with spoils and rare resources that could shift the balance of power." In this region (she smiles and clenches her fist), be careful not to ignite a direct war with the Kingdom of Union. You must exercise extreme caution in every step..." Batori Duske: (bows respectfully, his fist clenching his hands) "Your Majesty, I will do as you say. Our primary mission is to secure the precious resources of our kingdom, not to provoke a full-blown conflict. We will be cautious, but we will not hesitate if necessary."

Then Princess Elena Frankenstein interjected: "Your Majesty, we will do our utmost. We will not allow Union to lay hands on our kingdom's riches. If confrontation is necessary, we will be at the forefront, and we will crush any obstacle in our path."

The Queen continued, her eyes scanning the assembled crowd as if reading their thoughts: "Do not forget that the Kingdom of Union has strong reasons to acquire the resources. Is my meaning clear to all? We must be prepared for all eventualities. The risks are great, but the opportunities are even greater."

In unison, their voices filled the hall with unwavering resolve: "Yes, Your Majesty!" General Bathory and the Second Princess Elena Frankenstein, along with the soldiers, set off towards the tense border.

After the Second Princess Elena Frankenstein had left, a voice spoke: "Elena seems excited."

The Queen: "That's typical of her, but this time I have a strange feeling. What about you, Alice?" Alice Frankenstein, the first princess of the Kingdom of Kong, appeared wielding flame magic and possessing the spirit of the legendary serpent "Oriel." She replied, "She's just as she always is." (She smiles.)

Elena and Batori, along with their soldiers, were walking when Elena asked, "Batori, what exactly happened in the Union Kingdom incident?" Batori replied, "A human child from the noble Takahashi family stole the Book of Osiris, but I don't think he did it himself." Elena asked, "Do you mean someone set him up?" Batori responded, "I'm certain of it. I've gathered a lot of information about that Takahashi family. Zeref, the womanizer, has a genius son, Kono Takahashi, and another, less-than-stellar child. So it's impossible for someone like him to have done it. It's an incident on a scale that encompasses all kingdoms and empires. I also heard that more than a million monsters emerged from that mountain." Elena exclaimed, "What a huge number!" Batori continued, "And I think the monsters have entered every dimas, which means that low-level adventurers stand no chance against them." Elena asked, "Union, huh? Will we encounter them?" Batori replied seriously, watching the forest. The thicket before him, which seemed to conceal secrets, said: "Yes, Your Highness. I am certain they will come, half in the Kingdom of Union and the other half in our kingdom." Elena replied: "We will carry out our mission, and if they stand in our way, we will annihilate them all."

Batori:

Your strength is truly formidable, but the Kingdom of Yunyon should not be underestimated. It has powerful leaders and soldiers.

Elena: Even so, we are the bloodline of vampires. No matter who our enemy is, we will annihilate them.

Batori: Soldiers, prepare yourselves! We have arrived.

The Ninth Division:

At the same time, the members of the Ninth Division of the Kingdom of Yunyon prepared to depart for the border. The atmosphere was filled with the usual excitement and anticipation of the rebellious division. However, Commander Yahiko and Jojo were delayed by an urgent and unexpected summons from Emperor Ryohei, which piqued everyone's curiosity.

Yahiko: (in a loud and slightly tense voice, waving his hands nervously): "Lieutenant Commander Tatsuo Kamda, you will be in charge of the mission now. As soon as I finish with the summons, I will join you immediately. As for the rest of the division, this is a very sensitive mission, and it may hold surprises." Tatsuo Kamda: (Confidently and calmly, patting Yahiko on the shoulder): "Trust us, Captain. We'll accomplish the mission flawlessly, and we won't let you down. You take care of the Emperor, and we'll look after the dungeon."

The squad, accompanied by Lieutenant Tatsuo, set off on the mission, stealthily making their way through the dark forests.

Tatsuo: (With a slight smile, leading the way) "Let's go, everyone! The mission awaits us, and perhaps some surprises!"

"Yes, Lieutenant! To the dungeon!" they all responded enthusiastically, their voices echoing through the forest.

Halfway there, they took a short break by a flowing stream. Ivan was sitting on a solid rock, his eyes scanning the horizon with unusual focus, as if he sensed something in the air. Lieutenant Tatsuo came and sat quietly beside him, asking, "What's the matter, Ivan?

Are you worried about this first mission with us?" Then he smiled calmly, as if reading his thoughts.

"No, it's not that," Ivan replied, his expression unchanged. "I've felt someone watching us ever since we arrived. Someone or something is following us..." Deputy Tazio responded, his eyes reflecting a deep understanding of what Ivan was saying. "You noticed it too? Good. That confirms my hunch. Let's leave things as they are for now. It might be a test of our abilities." Everyone rose to continue their journey. Deputy Tazio and his companions reached a dense forest near the edge of the dungeon, where the shadows grew ever deeper, ready to execute their plan. Tazio: (in a low but firm voice, gesturing for them to hide) "Wait here a moment. I'll make sure we're not being watched. Ivan, can you pinpoint his exact location?" Ivan: (pointing to an old tree) "There... behind that giant tree, he's well hidden, but his presence is palpable."

Everyone hid in the forest, while Ivan and Deputy Tatsuo walked silently, like ghosts. Suddenly, they skillfully separated, trapping the person who had been following them. They vanished completely before the person's eyes, and he began searching anxiously, looking around, but to no avail. Then, Deputy Tatsuo appeared out of nowhere. The unknown person tried to escape in a flash, but Ivan was right behind him, sword in hand. "Don't move!" he said coldly.

Deputy Tatsuo asked, his eyes gleaming with a sharp light, "Who are you? Reveal your face. Who sent you to follow us?!"

The unknown person revealed her face, and to everyone's surprise, she was a member of the Second Division named Celia Hibari, a girl with purple hair and calm eyes.

Tatsuo: (with slight surprise, then a soft sigh) "Celia Hibari! What are you doing here, a member of the Second Division? Are you following us again? Haven't you had enough yet?" Celia: (Coldly, her eyes fixed on Ivan) "This is a request from the captain. You know she's curious about your performance, especially the newcomer's." (She stood in front of Ivan, watching his eyes.) Lieutenant Tatsuo sighed and waved his hand. "That captain? Fine, you can go now. We'll do our job ourselves; we don't need to be watched."

Celia Hibari looked at Ivan with obvious surprise, then said to herself as she backed away, "He noticed me and surrounded me... It seems the Ninth Squad is really improving. And that boy has extraordinary senses; he was so fast. I must tell the captain about this."

After the second squad member left, Tatsuo Kamda and Ivan returned. As they walked, Ivan asked about the second squad.

"The second squad!" Ivan said.

Tatsuo replied, "The second squad is a strong squad, and its captain is Rindo Mutsu."

Ivan: "Mutsu? So she's Rin's sister." Tatsuo: Yes, she's her older sister. You'll get to know her later; she's interested in anyone interesting.

The lieutenant drew up a detailed plan for entering the dungeon.

Tatsuo: (pointing to the map) "Alright, listen carefully. Ivan will stay here with Naofumi to monitor the situation from above and ensure there's no sudden threat or outside movement. The rest of us will go to the main entrance. This plan will guarantee us complete cover and surprise the enemy."

Everyone responded enthusiastically: "Yes, Lieutenant!"

Ivan and Naofumi remained observing the situation from a high strategic position, while Lieutenant Tatsuo and his men reached the mysterious entrance to the dungeon.

Naofumi: This is our first mission, and I'm happy about it.

Ivan, with his eyes closed, listened to him and calmly observed the situation.

After the stone gate, which had been tightly sealed by a mysterious spell, was opened, Lieutenant Tatsuo and his men entered the dungeon, where they began walking through the dark corridors that reeked of decay and horror.

Rin said: This place is strange; it's not like an ordinary dungeon. Tatsuo: That's right, it's a really strange place.

Hotaru: What's that smell? Guys, put on your masks quickly! There are poisonous spirits.

Noah Benny used healing magic to strengthen everyone's bodies.

Tatsuo: Thanks, Noah.

Tao says: Deputy, sense something strange ahead. We need to be careful.

Suddenly, the traps kicked in, and magic arrows flew.

Tatsuo: "Guys, watch out!"

Tao: "The earth magic is the defensive wall."

He barely managed to deflect the magic arrow attacks.

Rinta: "There are very old writings and inscriptions on the walls of the dungeon. I wonder what they are?"

Tatsuo: "You're right. They might belong to one of the ancient kingdoms."

Hotaru: "We have company. Get ready!"

The golems appeared, and they began fighting them. The lieutenant said: "Don't let your guard down."

After defeating them, they rested for a while, then Hotaru asked: "Lieutenant, you said an ancient kingdom. What do you mean?"

Tatsuo: "Our world was divided into several continents because of an ancient earthquake that happened long ago. Before it happened, it is said that there were kingdoms and empires, perhaps the most prominent being the legendary empire of Atlantis."

Rin: "So these inscriptions and writings belong to it?"

Tatsuo: "Perhaps. Well, let's move on." Things were getting more difficult inside the dungeon, where the monsters were growing stronger.

Tatsuo: This place is getting more difficult. We must hurry.

Across from the dungeon, we see Batori and Elena with the soldiers, walking after they have defeated the monsters.

Outside the dungeon, as Naofumi was speaking, a sudden attack came, but Ivan blocked it, saying: Lower your head.

Naofumi lowered his head, and Ivan launched an attack, saying: Fire magic! Burning flames!

Naofumi: What are these strange monsters? (Shocked)

Before them appeared monsters with a demonic mark, emitting a faint purple light, and a black crystal stone in the center of each monster's head, as if it were the source of their power.
