A week passed, August 8th 2025...
Everything after the exam incident was quiet, luckily for Hirata, The suspicion of students didn't linger around much.
Despite what happened that day, Hirata and Haruto did not cancel or postpone their research about the Language branch of power
Hirata "Oh man, that was such a hectic week!"
Hirata "These exams were brutal! Finally it's all over, Can't wait to spend the vacation sleeping."
Haruto "I know right? That was brutal for real..."
A Woman eavesdrops from distance without Hirata and Haruto noticing...
Hirata "I think we should go and grab something to eat, let's consider it as a celebration for the semester's end."
Haruto "I guess that would not do any harm, I'm craving something chicken-y If I'm being honest."
She's still eavesdropping with enthusiasm and gets ready to talk to them
Hirata "OH! Are you a chicken person? Finally someone who understands me." (Said with excitement)
Haruto laughs dismissively...
Hirata "Oh well I guess, Let's go, I'm starving man."
Hirata and Haruto walk towards the university's front exit, suddenly on their way the woman with black hair and olive Mediterranean skin and brown eyes, she interrupts Hirata and Haruto way.
The woman speaks with a Lebanese Accent "Hello guys! My name is Vanessa Al Hajj."
She continues with a warm and friendly tone "I noticed you two are good friends, you get along really well! Though I doubt that you noticed my existence since we are in the same classroom."
Hirata says awkwardly "O-Oh... Hello."
Haruto responds with the same reaction but a bit rather cold "Oh Hello, May we help you?"
Vanessa says "Come on... Why are you hesitant? I just want to get to know you guys! After all I have no friends..."
Haruto talks to himself in his head "Seriously? What a freak!"
Hirata "Vanessa you said? It's nice meeting you!" He says warmly
Hirata continues "But y-you know you can't be friends immediately even though we just me... I'm not saying we cannot be friends, I'm just saying it takes time."
Vanessa replies "You're totally right! I will not push beyond your boundaries, I'll gladly do that."
Hirata "Then it's settled! Welcome to the friend group Vanessa!"
Vanessa "How sweet! Thank you guys, I truly hope I gain your trust soon." She says with enthusiasm.
They all go to a restaurant that's specialized in fast food, they enter with excitement to eat. The sound of forks and knifes colliding with the sound of crunch...
They enter and get greeted by a hostess "Welcome, where are you planning to sit? Are you here to dine in or for some drinks."
Haruto replies "We'll dine in please, thank you."
The hostess says "By all means! Let me take you to your table sir."
Hirata says "please I can't wait I'm literally starving!"
They all sit and start checking the menu, every seemed quiet at the table.
They summon the waiter and start ordering.
Hirata orders "May I get a large Zinger Burger with large coke and fries? That will be it for me."
Haruto orders "I want Double cheese chicken burger with extra hot sauce on the side with a side of fries and a large coke please, thank you."
Vanessa orders as well "Hello, I'd like to order one Lebanese Burger with one Mushroom Burger and a side of large fries with a diet coke please, thank you!"
Hirata and Haruto look at each other and say without Vanessa hearing "what a glutton, I fear she may eat me." Then they laugh
Vanessa "what is it you two? What is so funny?"
Hirata "N-no! It's nothing "
Haruto "Ye-yeah, it's nothing at all, of course we weren't talking and making fun of you haha!."
Vanessa stares for a moment and bursts out laughing and says "You guys are really interesting."
They all start eating with gluttony as if they have never eaten before.
Hirata "MAN! I'M STARVING!"
Haruto "THIS IS SCRUMPTIOUS, OH MY GOD!"
Vanessa "SO GOOD, I CAN'T TELL YOU HOW OVERJOYED I AM RIGHT NOW!"
Hirata and Haruto "What a weirdo..."
Vanessa "look who's talking."
As they eat, back in the exam room that Hirata took the History exam in. Suddely a wave of black energy that resembles lighting with a circle with patterns that has pentagon symbols with Old English text that says "Stēphlīep"
It translates to "Step-leap" in Late Modern English...
A moment later a guy with silver long hair as well as an athletic build, wears elegant yet stylish clothes, they are almost Identical to Old Money Style.
He comes out of the portal and says "Interesting, seems like there's a residue of Linguistic energy here."
He continues with a quiet and calm tone "There's someone in this world who possesses the power of the Language branch."
He continues "I need to find whoever they are, before it's too late..."
He continues "Since the energy is here, Whoever did this should be in this school, either a student a teacher, I can't sense anyone's energy here since there's no one but I'll keep an eyes and keep tracking this place specifically."
As he was about to leave Someone swings a blade with a very high speed at him yet he managed to block the hit with his own staff
He says "What was that? I barely sensed that attack..."
The attacker Suddenly speaks "You shall be eliminated, that boy is our! He will be our sacrifice for our goal."
The Silver haired man says inside his head "So he's a male..."
He responds to the attacker "As if I'm going to let this happen! I shall thwart your evil project."
The attacker says "We'll see about that."
The attacker throws a kunai and says "This kunay shal multiplien into a shour of kunayes."
The silver haired man "Middle English? So this man possess the power of the Language Branch."
The the one kunai he had thrown multiplies into a shower of kunai...
The Silver haired man blocks every kunai with precision with the sound of metal clashing with his staff and says "This is bad, I can't afford to let anyone notice that something happened here! I need to avoid property damage."
The attacker then dashes towards the silver haired man with with a charged up attack then says in Late Middle English "This swerd shal be enhaunced to sleen my foos."
Then a he swings the sword from a distance and shoots a yellow looking projectile at the silver haired man.
The silver haired man says "This is bad! This will destroy the entire classroom if nothing is done!"
He jumps towards the prjectile and pulls out a piece of an unknown type of paper and then draws a shield before the projectile hits the wall.
The shield comes out of the paper and not only block, but absorb the shock itself.
Suddenly back to Hirata and the group view. Hirata suddenly sense something that he can't describe, he looks at Haruto and Haruto looks back... without letting Vanessa know what they know so they don't get her involved. Vanessa reacted to the energy sensation but very calmly in a way that Hirata and Haruto didn't notice.
Vanessa says "Is something the matter guys? Why do you look as if you have just seen a ghost?"
Hirata and Haruto respond "N-No! It's nothing, probably fatigue."
Then back to the classroom. The attacker says "I see... so you're one of them as well..."
The attacker continues "Seems like I have to go back for now, but don't worry! This shall be settled sooner or later."
Then a yellow portal appears on the ground and a voice comes from it and says "Come on, We cannot be late, boss is waiting."
He says to the silver haired man "We part ways, for now..."
Then he jumps into the portal and the portal closes with an echoing sound effect.
The silver haired man says "I guess I should go back as well, I can't be exposed especially after all this noise."
Back to Hirata and the group.
Hirata "I'm full, I can't eat anymore."
Haruto "Same!"
Vanessa "That was scrumptious guys! We should do this more often."
Hirata replies with a smile "I totally agree"
They pay the bill and get out of the restaurant.
Hirata speaks to himself in his head "what was that feeling? I wonder if Haruto felt it as well... though Vanessa showed no reaction, she is an ordinary person after all..."
Vanessa talks to herself in her head "So I was right... Hirata possess the power of the Branch of Language, I could immediately tell he sensed that wave of energy... things are about to get interesting."
They walk next to a river during a sunset and discourse about multiple university and studying topic, then they walk back to their homes.
Vanessa "Ok my house is that way! I'll see you later guys."
Hirata "See ya."
Haruto "See you tomorrow, Hirata."
Then they all went back and their day closed with quiet in disguise...
