Delfina left the house for the hospital the next day. After hours of deep thinking and pacing her room until dawn, she had finally made a decision.
She was going to get an abortion.
After informing her friends of her predicament and explaining her decision to them, they supported her fully, even though their eyes held concern. They did not judge her or try to sway her mind. They simply stayed by her side.
After all, she did not know the man she had slept with, and she was not prepared to raise a child alone.
Delfina's grip tightened around the steering wheel as she sat in the driver's seat, her knuckles whitening and veins popping beneath her skin.
She was sure of her decision. She knew she did not want to have the baby.
