Mr. Silvestri was in his office at the headquarters of The Order when he suddenly heard a knock on the door.
He did not get the chance to grant permission before the door opened and someone walked in.
Dominic marched into the office without a word and pulled out a chair for himself, sitting down as if he owned the place.
"So," Mr. Silvestri said calmly, folding his hands together on the desk, "How are your findings lately?"
He already knew that was the only reason Dominic would ever show up in his office unannounced.
"There has been no lead so far," Dominic replied, his gaze dark and empty. "It is obvious the man does not want to be found, so he is not going to be found."
For the past five years, The Order had been hunting for the leader of the House of Ferraro. For half a decade, the clan had gone silent, barely making any moves, barely spilling blood, barely leaving a trace.
It was strange, unsettling even.
