"Delfina!!"
Delfina heard her name being screamed across the terminal. She followed the familiar voice and spotted her friends standing together, holding a placard with her name written boldly across it.
A smile tugged at her lips as she walked toward them.
Liora was the first to reach her and immediately picked Gabriele up in her arms.
"Will you look at that," Liora said, grinning as she pinched his chubby cheeks. "You have grown so big, Gabriele."
"That's because mummy feeds me too much food," he replied proudly, a smile on his lips.
Liora couldn't resist the urge and pecked him on his chubby cheeks.
"So cute."
Naomi and Valentina both pulled Delfina into a tight hug.
"Welcome home, Del," Valentina said softly.
Delfina's heart thudded hard against her chest. Home. The word felt strange on her tongue. She had grown up in Milan, yet with no memories of her real parents, she had never been certain where home truly was.
