"I asked what happened. Why did you faint?"
Hiro remained silent. His fingers absentmindedly played with the edge of the blanket covering his legs.
Should he tell him?
Because I found out the man I've been sleeping with for years already has a boyfriend. Or perhaps… Because I realized I was unknowingly helping you cheat on someone.
Neither answer felt worth saying. Nor did they feel right. It would only destroy—he paused his train of thought.
Destroy what exactly? Did they even have anything Felix viewed as valuable enough to protect—if not love, then at least their friendship?
"…I haven't been getting enough rest lately," Hiro finally replied.
Felix let out a quiet scoff. "Really?"
"Why would I lie?"
"Right…" A humourless smile tugged at Felix's lips. "Why would you?"
Silence fell once again.
"You ignored my calls," Felix said after a while. "I called you over and over before coming here."
Hiro said nothing.
"You ignored my messages."
Still nothing.
