Why was such a perfect alpha interested in someone like Hiro?
The beta simply couldn't understand. He let out a long sigh before hesitantly reaching across the small distance separating them. His hand landed gently against Izack's back. He gave it two soft pats. Awkward, careful, almost like comforting a child who had just been scolded.
"What do you want from me, anyway?" He asked quietly, his brows furrowing together. There was no irritation left in his voice anymore. Only genuine confusion. "I can't offer you anything." He lowered his gaze to his own lap. "I'm just a beta." The words came out far calmer than he actually felt.
This was an unchangeable fact in his life. For numerous, countless times, he had wished he were an omega. That way, Felix would perhaps have considered marrying him and forming a family of their own.
A perfect little family… Nothing like his broken one.
Yet, those were his wishful thoughts. Foolish and useless.
