"Don't lie to my face, Hiro."
"I'm not." Hiro frowned at him as he tried to stay calm but the agitation in his voice, the way he quickly shoved his shoes on the shoe rack exposed his lie in an instant.
"Then explain why you left for an entire month. You only go for a few days. At least when I'm around, then it must mean there was someone else there. Otherwise you wouldn't have stayed at that house for so long."
Felix's expression darkened for only a brief moment before he let out a long sigh, running a hand through his hair as though trying to calm himself.
"You really know how to make me worry," he muttered, his voice noticeably softer than before. "You vanished for an entire month. You ignored almost every call I made. Then you come back and act as if nothing happened."
