Chapter 1 - A New Beginning

Annie walked hastily towards the restaurant, it's noon already and she couldn't help but think about her job interview tomorrow, holding at A & R group of companies. She gets inside the restaurant, sat at a far edge as she signaled the waiter to come take her order. The waiter lookef at her and ignored.

"Bunch of incompetent staffs!"

Annie cursed under her breath. She continued waiting but her stomach betrayed her as a loud rumble came out from her stomach.

"You will eat a full community if given the opportunity right?"

Adrian placed his tray of food on her table.

Annie looked at the imposter speechless, his face looking vague.

"You care for some?" He asked looking at her in the eye.

"No thanks!" Annie replief without taking a second look at him. Her stomach made another loud rumble this time betraying her words. She looked at the tray in front of her, there are fish, chips with tartar sauce. She picked two chips, dipped inside the sauce and chewed like someone who had been kidnapped and hasn't eaten for days. Adrian watched her and said...

" Don't mention"

Annie looked at him wide eyed.

I haven't even said thanks!

Does it matter? You can have all of them.

He said with a hidden smile at the corner of his lips.

Annie watched him closely now. A fine Dude sat opposite her and she was just blind to see it. She tried to say something but she ends up stammering. Adrian watched her, his face without any expression.

"Like I said, no need for saying thank you, I can order more if you want" he signaled at the same waiter Annie called before. She came to meet them at their table.

"What would you like to have Sir?"

Annie looks at the waiter disgustingly. She couldn't bear her anger as she blurted out.

"I was calling you—yet you ignored me."

The waiter turned, looked her up and down and feigned an apology.

"I'm sorry miss"

"I'll definitely drop a bad review before I leave!"

Annie snapped irritatingly.

Adrian smiled as he watched her. He turned to look at the waiter...

"Please take her order"

Annie shows the waiter what she wanted in the menu and the waiter goes to bring her order.

"Thank you stranger" Annie thanked the weirdo sitting in front of her.

"I told you not to mention it. Oh my bad, my name is Adrian and you?" He stretched his hand with a warm smile tugging at the corner of his lips.

Annie looksled at him without any expression on her face as they both shook hands.

" Annie! Call me—Annie." she replied almost stuttering.

The waiter comes and drops her order in front of Annie without looking at her face.

"She has an attitude..." Annie said calmly as she begins to eat. Suddenly Adrian's phone started ringing and he picked it up.

" Hello, I'll be on my way already " he responded to the caller and stood up ready to go.

"See you some other time miss...." He turns to leave.

Annie looks at him surprised. "Just like that?" She asked calmly not wanting to sound desperate.

"Oh that, don't worry I'll pay before I step out"

He goes out without turning to see her expression.

Annie just looked on, wondering who the hell he think he is.

"Wait... He didn't have even ask for my contact? How weird!"

The waiter looks at her From afar wondering why she's talking to herself. Annie looked back at her and hissed. Annie continues to eat her food, soon she finished and head out of the restaurant. As she stepped outside it began to drizzle.

"Oh shit!" Annie exclaimed as she runs back into the restaurant. She met the ugly eyes of the waitress again. She hissed again and decided to enter the rain. Though not heavy, a black sport car stops in front of her and winds it's glasses.

"Hop in let me give you a ride" Adrian this time was putting on a dark shade. He removed it so Annie could see him clearly.

"No mister!" Annie replied without regretting.

"Okay then!" Adrian replied and zoomed off as the rain began pouring heavily. Annie sighed—with deep regret of course.

"This guy is crazy, he couldn't even be patient." She mutters under her breath. She was trying to stop a cab but non was willing to stop seeing that she was totally drenched.

Annie didn't have a choice but to run into a nearby kiosk to wait out the rain. An hour later, the rain subsided but she was already shivering. A red cab stopped in front of her and the driver winds down.

"Where are you headed young lady?" The Driver asked staring at Annie's chest.

Annie looks at him and traces his eyes to her chest, she immediately felt disgusted.

"No thank you, I'll pass!" Annie responded

"It's cold out here, just hop in..." The Driver insisted.

No, thank you sir. I said I'll pass. She sees another vehicle approaching she runs to stop it.

"Heyyy, Hyde park!" She screams almost out of breath. She clunged on to her mini jean jacket that covered the singlet handed gown she was wearing. The jean jacket wasn't covering the upper part of her breast properly. Seeing the way the Driver was staring at it made her feel irritated and she regretted wearing the dress. The cab finally stops and she hopped in and they zoomed off.
