Chapter 1 - THE UNKNOWN ENTITY

In a dark place, in the city, but in a quiet place, glowed the blue-like color of three shadows and their owner, who had blue eyes piercing the dark while taking a quick break from a fight. The three shadows scattered in the dark like chicks as they found their hideout in the dark.

The owner was wearing a big black hood that was a bit torn below; he was around 1.87 meters tall. His name was Sung, Jin-woo.

The shadows, they were 3. The first one was more like a gigantic pig that was a humanoid; it had its gear on, and its name was Bellion. He was a Grand Marshal, often cited as the owner's absolute strongest shadow, who possesses immense strength and durability. It acted as the second in command.

Then there was a fly-like thing called Beru. He was the Ant King, known for his incredible speed; he also regenerated his body without wasting a lot of the owner's mana. Beru had the fiercest loyalty, making him a formidable fighter.

A knight who was wearing his gear and also a red plume and a tattered cape that was always blown by air. He was the Crimson Knight, one of Jinwoo's first powerful extracts when he started his shadow extraction. He was renowned for his unwavering loyalty and exceptional combat skills, often considered one of the "two wings" of the Shadow Monarch.

The owner was left alone with his opponent outside a house. He fought with the unknown entity.

It did not come from a Gate.

It did not belong to the guilds or the rulers.

The system had no record of it either.

Its name was Abyron, the Monarch of the End. It looked scary from the moment Sung Jin-woo set his eyes on it.

It was like a humanoid, but it was also like a shadow at the same time. It's had a scary dark aura that made Jin-woo's blood boil when it approached him for the first time. It was grayish in color, a bit away from the dark night. It had orange eyes that pierced through the dark; they looked as if they were just planted in the shadow.

The two were around a nice Japanese house that stood alone; the place was totally in ruins, with fire in a lot of places around the house while punches were exchanged between Sung Jin-woo and Abyron.

It used punches, while Sung used both his punches and dual blades that were glowing in the dark, glowing like flashed mirrors.

Jinwoo blocked a fatal hit with his arms that were crossed while holding the sword and was sent flying like that and landed like a cat, but he slid to hold his grip on the ground.

He panted and glared at the creature and silently said, 'Sup with this creature? It's trying to kill me, and the system is off; it only told me that he wanted to kill me, and then it went off—no name, no strength. What a betrayer to believe in.'

He narrowed his eyes; his face furrowed. He continued saying, 'Wait, it glitched before it showed its name; it only showed the empty stats. This is bad; Igris and Beru resurrected two times. That makes it hard to send more shadows there because I'll genuinely lose my mana before this fight ends.'

He then looked at the creature and said, "Tsk!"

Before it glitched, it said,

[•NOTIFICATION!•]

THREAT alert: someone is about to kill a player.

Name: (glitch, and it turned off)
