Arch looked closely at the golden compass. To his surprise, the golden pointer was now working—not stuck, but moving freely and reacting to his slight adjustments.
"What's happening here?" he asked, confused by its sudden change in functionality. The ticking earlier must have been a system diagnostic finalizing the compass's active status.
He then chose his first target, manually moving the pointer until it was aligned with the One Dot (the Door symbol).
ARCH: Gurarara!" Arch let out a small laugh, energized by the compass's immediate responsiveness. "Hey, Foxxy, we're moving! Let's go and see just what this Door symbol is all about."
With the compass firmly locked onto the One Dot (the Exit/Entrance), Arch gripped the handle of his new Tactical Entrenching Tool, and started walking in the direction the golden pointer indicated.
ARCH: come to think of it.how does this shovel works..
As he walked, Arch manipulated the new shovel in his hand. "Hey System"How do I adjust the handle of this shovel? It's not immediately obvious."
*CREAKKKKK
[SYSTEM]: Guidance: Multi-Purpose Tactical Entrenching Tool (TET-M) Adjustment Protocol.
1. Locate the Grip-Lock Ring (a textured metal band near the head of the shovel).
2. Rotate the Grip-Lock Ring 45° counter-clockwise to unlock the telescoping handle.
3. Pull or push the handle to the desired length. The handle is stabilized by a vacuum-seal mechanism, ensuring a tight fit at any length.
4. Rotate the Grip-Lock Ring back 45° clockwise to securely lock the handle in place.
[SYSTEM]: Note: The handle can also be folded completely into a compact combat mode by fully collapsing the handle and pressing the recessed button on the grip.
ARCH: Use human language system...what's with this instructions..
Arch followed the instructions, finding the textured ring near the shovel head. He twisted it, felt a satisfying click of the lock disengaging, and then pulled the handle out to full extension. It felt much more balanced and ready for combat now. He locked it again.
Arch and the fox resumed their adventure, following the compass which remained stubbornly pointed at the Door symbol.
Soon after they passed the cave they had used as a shelter, they found a path delineated by a aligned pile of red rocks, clearly marking a road. Arch didn't think much of it, as the golden compass was also pointing in this direction.
They walked onto the road, but tall grass and thick vines enveloped everything in their path, obscuring the ground. Arch immediately put his new tool to use, extending the Tactical Entrenching Tool (TET-M) and using its sword-sharp edge to slice through the dense vines and grass.
ARCH: GURARARARARA....TAKE THIS HA....
Arch didn't just slice the vines and grass; he used the shovel with aggressive, precise movements, tearing through the biological overgrowth like he was slaughtering enemies trying to stop him from reaching his goal. The sharp blade made short work of the jungle-like obstruction.
ARCH: Gurararara....."he looks at the last long vine flowing down from the underground ceiling " any last words Arch asked the vine.
Then with a swift and precise slash the vine drops to the ground.
ARCH: I don't want to hear any last words from my enemy anyway....gurarara
( vines:what did I even do to you?)
After the last vine dropped to the ground, he saw a long bridge of dark brown wood. It was entirely blanketed by moss and climbing plants.
ARCH: Anew terrain?...A new terrain. He looked back at the snake-fox behind him and said, "Watch your step, Foxxy."
They walked slowly to the bridge.
ARCH: damn it...it's so slippery
The bridge was so long that it took them 20 minutes of slow walking to reach the end.
After they arrived at the end of the bridge, Arch sighed to himself. "Damn, that was scary, being surrounded by vines and fog..."
He looked around; fog was covering the view.
ARCH: Time to use some of my tricks Gurararararara.
His imagination kicked in again.
The fog became like a monster with big yellow eyes and a mouth with a long tongue and sharp teeth. The monster fog was looking at Arch coldly.
Arch laughed, "Gurarara! A mere fog like you dares to block my path!"
Arch placed the shovel he was holding in his right hand onto his right shoulder. He smirked. In his left fist, a white circle appeared, covering it. Arch, with a deep voice, shouted, "Take this!" He punched the air, and the air itself cracked as a strong shockwave erupted from his fist. He then threw another punch, sending out more cracks and shockwaves. The monster fog did its best to run away, but it was too late. "Gurararara! Hakuaaaaaa!" With his last punch, the fog monster dissipated as if it hadn't even existed. The imagination ended.
ARCH; huuu.....that felt great...
The snake-fox watching this scene was smirking. The fog covering the entire place was no longer there, and when it cleared, they saw it.....at .....last....
