Eight years have passed since the awakening of Arch's Conqueror Haki. During this time, Arch did his best to train and master every bit of his power. Every day his power grew stronger, and he sensed a deeper, hidden power within his body that he still could not awaken.
His cute and chubby face was nowhere to be seen; his face was now more mature, showing an almost ethereal beauty. But Arch didn't care about his appearance a single bit. His white hair was now reaching his waist; it flowed like a river.
He is currently 13 years old, but his structure says otherwise. He now stands at 6.2 feet, with a slim but cut body, and he still wears a chiton dress. His ruby eyes were more captivating; his red irises were like a sunset, and the pupils of his eyes were shining like rubies. The ROB, who he calls Gramps, really did his best, crafting his face into an ethereal beauty that even the most beautiful women might envy. Even his skin was paler, snow-white, probably because he's been stuck in this underground area without any sunlight
During these years, he used the massive boulder in front of him as a punching bag and to release his frustration. He also built a simple house made out of rocks—rocks he sliced from the massive boulder using his Ope Ope no Mi. He also learned some of the strange writings that the system finally analyzed for a whole year.
When the system gave its findings to Arch, he was delighted to finally uncover some of the mystery shrouding this underground. The system then translated every single word written on the cube he had once come from. The writings were all about the gruesome creature living inside the cube and contained some instructions to be followed. It stated, "Beware of the demon living inside the cube... always keep your distance... stay quiet every time you passed by... don't touch the
cube, or you'll be cursed," and many more warning words. The words written on the plague placed on the cube were "THE PROMISED." These words were bothering him.
He then asked the System to translate the old scroll he saw at the cave before. He was excited for this one because when he saw the drawing in the scroll, he saw a violet, pineapple-shaped fruit with swirling scales, topped with several green stem leaves. He knew what this fruit was and the potential it had, but it was portrayed as a useless devil fruit and badly by a stupid villain in One Piece.
The system then unraveled the old scroll. In the scroll, it says how the seed—the seed he saw at the skeleton ribs before—when it fully absorbs enough nutrients, would grow like a normal plant, but with only one leaf. And that leaf will only transform into a fruit if it received a single drop of blood every day for five years straight. To miss a single day means failure, and the leaf would turn black and die. Then he read
about its origin. The origin of the seed was a national treasure passed down generation from generation that had been buried a long time ago, so the people who must have it just thought it was a story. But Arch knows what this is because in his past life, this was a devil fruit full of potential eaten by some stupid character: the Hebi Hebi no Mi, Model: Yamata no Orochi (Snake-Snake Fruit, Model: Eight-Headed Serpent).
He didn't know why the skeleton man had eaten it. It must have died because the seed absorbed everything within the skeleton's body.
After the system unraveled everything, Arch didn't waste a single moment. He carried his shovel and planted the seed near the bridge entrance. For five long years, he took care of it and poured not just a single drop of blood, but a lot of it. When he punched the massive boulder, blood would rush out from his knuckles. He would place it in a container and wait until he finished his training to pour it on the plant.
He also noticed the color of his blood was greatly changing from its original red color to a pale red—a blood that appeared saturated with white. He didn't know what was happening, but he simply didn't care; his entire being was focused on getting out of here. He didn't care what method he would use to escape. Even a once-useless Devil Fruit in One Piece, he would eat it just to get out.
He even sometimes thinks that if he eats another Devil Fruit, he will surely die. But he didn't give a care. He knows deep inside that something is telling him he is an anomaly. He didn't even know what power and wish he made before he was sent here.
In his mind, there is like a boundary that keeps stopping him from digging into his memories. One time, when he did it by accident, he felt like his head was cracking open and would explode. He felt death closing in. He screamed nonstop and slammed his head against the massive boulder a thousand times, but the pain didn't stop at all. Just like that, he passed out, bathing in his own pale blood.
And because of that event, he didn't dare to cross that boundary in his mind again.
During these years, he also noticed that every day he receives 50 M (50 money) out of nowhere. It just happens naturally, and he converts it to PS in his system for his daily needs. He also tried to learn the writing that the system unraveled. It takes time, but he somehow can understand the writings and speak some of its words.
His companion, the snake-fox, also grew. It is now standing at 8 feet tall, with the snake on its back measuring 18 feet in length—double the size of its body. The snake-fox was like a companion beside him; it just watched him for the entire eight full years. The fox would sometimes approach him while eating and snatch his food. Over the past eight years, they became close—close enough that he can ride on its back. He didn't give it a name yet, though.
