"Hey!"
Hoshi exclaimed happily seeing yuta as the first person in the morning, the Japanese smiled back before stepping inside the elevator feeling awkward to be greeted with a genuine happiness unlike other times when people greet him with a fake smile for the sake of formality.
"Good morning"
yuta said pressing the button before moving further in standing besides hoshi with a few feets of distance making hoshi smile to see that they are progressing step- by- step.
comparing to the time when yuta would just stand at the far most corner inside the elevator if by any mistake or coincidence he and hoshi have to take the same elevator ride.
"Still too formal huh?" Hoshi said in a teasing manner making yuta look at the other side before at hoshi with a small grin.
"You didn't expected me to greet you with full enthusiasm just like you did a minute ago. Do you?"
Yuta asked even though he can already guess the answer and he did smile to himself proudly as he saw how hoshi was giving him a sheepish smile actually wanted yuta to greet him like the way he did.
"I would've appreciated it"
Hoshi said looking away suddenly getting all shy giving yuta a chance to tease as even though yuta don't want to admit it but he just love earning a reaction out of hoshi who can't seems to hide his feelings well.
"So it means you didn't appreciated my good morning?"
Yuta said trying to look serious to tease the Korean male and it did work as hoshi's smile fade away thinking that he again did something to ruin the Japanese male's mood.
"No! Of course I loved it, all I mean to say was, i would have loved it more If you greeted me back with a smile" Hoshi quickly corrected himself looking stressed making yuta soft as how childlike hoshi was looking.
"I was kidding" yuta said smiling apologetically making hoshi poke his cheek in annoyance he almost fell like he fucked up and here is yuta who was having fun teasing him.
"Seriously, and I thought that I again ruined your mood" Hoshi said giving yuta a look of dissapontment shooking his head, hoshi really don't like getting pranked in this way as he can't even think of making someone sad by his actions even unintentionally.
Yuta who was smiling a minute ago now start feeling bad seeing hoshi looking all gloomy and the thing that caught his attention the most was how hoshi thinks that he ruin yuta's mood when in reality he is been one of the reason why yuta is slowly start feeling at peace.
"You never ruin my mood. Why are you thinking like that?" Yuta asked looking confused, hoshi looked up at him before sighing perhaps thinking yuta might be able to guess but it looks like he have no idea.
"Everytime. Remember the time I called you hyung? You looked uneasy and sad and it made me felt like I shouldn't had said that and the first time I met and you realise it was me who dropped you back to your old house you looked so triggered that I thought I did something wrong"
Hoshi said reminding yuta of his actions which he never thought would cause hoshi to think like that and that was an eye-opener for the Japanese male about how his actions were having an effect on the Korean male even from the start.
"I-i am sorry if I made you feel like you did something wrong it's just I never thought my actions will effect you like this" yuta said still in daze too preoccupied on his thoughts to see hoshi was looking at him with an apologetic look, he didn't mean to rub it off on yuta like that.
"Actually" Hoshi spoke up earning yuta's attention back to him "we don't notice it but our actions even minor ones have a impact not only on us but also on the people surrounding us even on those we don't know" Hoshi said looking at yuta who was looking at the other side trying to reason out what hoshi told him.
"If we smile at someone while walking down the street, ask someone how they are doing? Are they fine? Can have a big positive impact on that persons life and in the same manner if we act rude or distant and don't pay attention to the people when needed it even though it was unintentional, it not only destroy our image but also ruin that person mood and made them think they mean nothing to others"
Hoshi explained to yuta and the it's not like that the Japanese male don't know about all this it's just from past few years he has stopped himself from getting close to anyone because he don't want to get used again.
"Sometimes being distant can protect us from being hurt by others. As not everyone deserves to be close to us, nowadays people tend to backstab a lot just for the sake of their own good" yuta said from his personal experiences, gritting his teeth to suppress his anger as the memories from the past appeared in front of his eyes.
"I agree"
Hoshi said looking down at his hand as he also had faced some bitter situations in the past when he first came to Seoul and got decived and betrayed from someone of his new friends who take advantage advantage of hoshi's kindness and innocence.
But hoshi never let it effect him much as he used to have a firm believe in that evetything happens for good and his this mindset helped him a lot to cope with all this.
"But I believe not everyone is bad so rather than shutting ourself from the world we should keep the door of our hearts open, because maybe something good might come our way if we are willing to take risk"
Hoshi said smiling to himself as he remember when he first met s.coups on a park nearby pledis, it was when hoshi was having a really tough time leading him to break down one night while sitting on the far off bench, away from everyone's view.
And when he thought no one was paying attention to him he saw a boy around his age or probably older standing in front of him giving hoshi worrisome look and asking if he is fine, that's leads to them being friends that turned into a lifetime bond with each other.
Hoshi chuckled remembering how young they both were back then and not to forget it was s.coups who had introduced hoshi to jeonghan and woozi and later jeonghan introduced hoshi to mingyu hence creating a big chaotic friend circle.
Yuta noticing how hoshi was smiling while being in his own world made him think about what hoshi said or if it's really true or it just hoshi is a bit too optimistic.
Both being in their own thoughts were snapped out from their thoughts when the elevator door opened, hoshi being the first one to snap out saw yuta was on dazed.
"We are here"
Hoshi said pulling yuta Back to reality who looked around in confusion before sighing quickly moving out not waiting for hoshi who huffed before making his out of the elevator guess his word didn't effected yuta a bit but he was wrong.
As to his surprise yuta stopped on his way standing few feets away from hoshi and turned around to face the korean male who was looking back at him puzzled as to why the Japanese is giving him such a long look.
"Did I fucked up again?"
Hoshi thought seeing yuta looking at him, being uneasy with the sudden silence hoshi chuckled trying to ease the awkwardness with a joke but before he could say something he was cut off by yuta.
"Have a good day, hoshi-ssi" yuta said with a small smile and without waiting for any answer turned on his heels and left, leaving hoshi standing there trying to process what just happened before grinning widely turning into a smiling mess.

renjun said heaving a long sigh before looking at both of his sides, seeing how haechan and hoshi were having a war of words against each other.
out of nowhere in the mid of enjoying their nightwalk to the residency park while eating ice-creams bought by hoshi's money who was forced by haechan with his all time used weapon of you are older so you should pay.
All renjun wanted was to enjoy the day as his final year exam had been over today and now he is free from college tensions so he decided to ask haechan to hangout with him casually in the park and it was going all good.
until haechan caught site of hoshi who had just came back from work and decided to include the older in their plan, haechan was quick enough to call the male asking him if he is free to walk with them and hoshi being hoshi.
Never letting the opportunity to create some good memories with his friends slide down easily agreed happily but now probably regretting it.
"You didn't bothered inviting me to your birthday party and now expecting me to treat you on my birthday. Why should I?" Hoshi complained stating his point earning a scoff from haechan who was busy eating his ice-cream.
"I had called you but you said you were busy somewhere so how it's my fault?" Haechan said reminding hoshi his own mistake making hoshi cough a bit in embrassment earning a laugh from renjun who was walking between both the males somehow enjoying the drama.
"I remember you said you just want to meet and have a party but you never told me the reason behind it that's why I rejected the offer as I thought it normal for you too have party almost every other day"
Hoshi defended himself now the two pairs of eye were on haechan who lick the ice-cream before tilting his head to give hoshi a look.
"It means you didn't checked your phone huh? Cause the friend group was filled with birthday wishes for me and that proves one more thing." Haechan said having both of his friends attention to him as he was about to say something more.
"You didn't remember my birthday" haechan said looking at hoshi with disappointment and disgrace written all over his face.
"Only this year and it was because i was extremely busy with my work" Hoshi said looking at haechan trying to explain his point earning a nod from the younger.
"It's so easy to make you hyper or nervous hyung" renjun said to hoshi smiling over how cute the older look sometimes when he get annoyed.
"Whatever I don't want to talk about it, you guys are mean"
Hoshi said looking away, sulking slightly while eating his ice-cream which was starting to get melted making haechan and renjun smile at the older male's cuteness even though hoshi is oldest among them there is no doubt that he is the most adorable and babiest.
"Ok forget about it, hyung as it's your birthday next week so what's your plan?" Renjun spoke up as he know if haechan said anything else it might most probably a mock and that will pull hoshi to the verge of having a fist fight.
"I am planning of going back to my hometown for a day or two, to celebrate with my family as it's been months since I last saw them... i am missing my family a lot" Hoshi spoke his heart earning a soft look from renjun and a thumbs up from haechan.
"That's great. But you'll come back before 15 right? As I want to see your birthday celebration" renjun asked with doe eyes as he truly want to celebrate the birthday of one of his most favorite hyung.
"I will. As I don't want to recieve punch and curse from others over how I didn't fulfill your wish" Hoshi said to renjun suddenly turning a bit sad remembering the fact that renjun will go back to China next year after taeyong's birthday as the male has finished his final year exam indicating his graduation is coming to end soon.
"Oh come on don't give me such sad looks"
renjun said to the males around him who were looking like they might probably shead tears by any given moment especially haechan who is avoiding this topic from beginning afterall who would love to accept that his friend who is his housemate too is going back for forever?
"Yeah let's not" haechan muttered looking around the park and hoshi leaned back on the bench these three were sharing being completely silent, sensing the awkwardness renjun tried to ease the situation.
"Want to hear a good news?" Renjun asked caughting haechan and hoshi's attention back on him who were looking at him with questionable looks.
"Winwin hyung is coming by the end of June to celebrate taeyong hyung's birthday" renjun did the shocking revelation that caught both the Korean male by surprise who were having two different reactions with haechan's eyes light with up excitement over hearing that winwin is coming meanwhile hoshi just made an 'oh' face not look impressed a bit but luckily none of the younger male noticed it.
"So that's why he didn't came at your birthday this year?" Haechan asked shifting his position to give renjun a proper look who hummed in response and that explains why winwin doesn't visited renjun at the time of his birthday like he used to do ever since renjun has shifted here.
"You didn't tell us before" Hoshi said suddenly looking like he have no energy left.
"I wanted you give you all a surprise. Please don't tell anyone else yet or else you'll be dead" renjun warned both of the males looking scary earning a hum from them with haechan being so happy that his one of favorite hyung is coming and hoshi internally sighing thinking he will have to see winwin again.
It's not that hoshi hate winwin, he is just highly jealous of him as whenever winwin come all his friends expect s.coups and woozi start acting like fanboys being too whipped around the Chinese male.
And look at him with hearts eyes and hoshi don't like it a bit as he still don't know what's so special in the Chinese male that everyone are whipped for him.
Of course winwin is good looking, sweet, calm, humble and polite in nature but still hoshi don't like the treatment his friend give to winwin because he is a bit possessive.
About his loved ones and don't believe in too much sharing specially with winwin whose aura make hoshi highly uncomfortable God knows why.
"It will be fun" haechan said to renjun with a smile not noticing the low chuckle of disappointment hoshi passed.
