Minutes passed before Flora reached Sophie's house. Sophie heard the doorbell and she quickly went downstairs and opened the door because she knew it was Flora.
She invited her and welcomed her to her house. Then Belle said, "Oh Sophie, you didn't tell me you made a friend on your first day." Then Sophie said sarcastically, "Oh sorry mom, this is my friend Flora." And then Flora said, "Good evening ma. I am Sophie's friend." And Belle said, "Yeah, I can see that." Then she laughed warmly.
And the two of them went to Sophie's room and they began talking, laughing, sharing common interests, and getting to know more about themselves.
Evening reached and Flora went home. Sophie, on the other hand, was very surprised that on the first day of school she made a friend. She thought then as she went to the kitchen to cook herself a meal.
The next day, before she went to school, she followed the same routine: drop her brother, then drive to school with her Bughatti. Then she parked her car at the parking lot beside the school and she stepped out of the car with her hair blowing away due to the breeze and walked into the school building.
As she entered the school, the first face she saw was Jake. Jake said, "Hey girl, how was the night?" And Sophie didn't want to answer, but Jake kept insisting and forcing her so Sophie had no choice but to reply "Why are you disturbing me? Am I the only pretty girl in the school?"
Then Jake said, "You are not, but you sure are the prettiest girl in the school." Then Sophie said sarcastically "Am flattered", and then she walked away.
Jake thought, "Why is this girl so resistant? Why can't she just accept me like other girls do?" he thought. Then Kelvin walked in and said, "Hey Jake, how is your babe doing?" Then Jake said, "She's not yet my babe, for now at least." Then they laughed and went to their class."
Sophie thought, "Hm, why is this boy so eager to date me? Should I accept or decline?" When it was recess, everyone went to the cafeteria to grab their lunch.
Then Jake did his thing. He made sure he off the lights, then his banner appeared at the center of the cafeteria and letters "Sophie will you date me." were written in the banner. And there were balloons everywhere, coming down, falling on Sophie. Sophie was stunned, dumfounded, but kind of shy.
She kept quiet for a while. Then Jake walked towards Sophie and said, "Will you date me, Sophie? Pls, I promise to grant all your wish and desire."
Sophie's heart was breathing very fast, she breathed in and out, thought for a while and then she said, "Yes, I will."
Jake hugged her lightly, and everyone in the cafeteria began clapping and cheering for them and celebrating. When school was over, Jake went to meet Sophie, and he began talking to her, and they were getting to know themselves better.
Jake insisted on taking Sophie to her house with his car but Sophie said, "Thank you, but I have my own car, and I can't leave it here." So Jake said, "Okay, see you tomorrow." And both entered their cars heading to their different houses. Flora shouted "Wait up, because you've gotten a boyfriend, you have forgotten about me"
Sophie spoke "I haven't forgotten about you, l was about to call you." Flora said "No probs, tell me everything later." Sophie said "Ok, girl."So Sophie dropped Flora at her house, then she drove to her own house." When Sophie entered her room, she started smiling. She was feeling a sense of joy and happiness. Then she said, "Wait, is it because of Jake that's the reason why I'm smiling? So that means I like Jake too.?"
Her joy was short lived when her brother Sam barged into her room and shouted "Sophie, are you with my lucky boxer." Sophie said "Eww, no, why will l." Sam quickly responded saying "Because you are jealous that when l wear it, l am always lucky." But Sophie said "Leave my room unless." "Unless what." Sam said. Then Sophie began chasing Sam and they were running around like cat and rat.
Two weeks passed and finally, it was prom night. Sophie was very excited because it was her first prom since the day she arrived in this school. Her parents bought her an expensive designers blue ball gown and new high heels. Sophie loved the gown so much so she thanked them for it.
When prom reached, she wore the gown, did her makeup, dressed her hair, wore her shoes and wore light jewelries. Jake on the other hand wore a blue tuxedo matching Sophie's outfit. He curled his hair and arranged himself trying to impress Sophie. He was looking like a demigod.
He drove to Sophie's house and picked her up then he drove to school. Sophie and her boyfriend wore the best dress in the prom.
Meanwhile Flora wore an old gown which was already fading.
She went to Sophie and they both hugged. Jake said to the both of them "Hey Sophie, l don't get why you are hanging with her, you can see she's poor right."
But Sophie replied "I don't care, she will always be my friend." Flora was a little hurt by what Jake said but she was used to hearing this plus she adored Jake. Sophie and Jake danced, had fun, ate and drank until they were tired.
But that was not all, Jake already planned something nice for Sophie. He blindfolded her, carried her to his car, and drove her to the forest near the school.
Then when they reached, he unblindfolded her and Sophie was stunned. Sophie said "Awwn, everywhere is amazing, l love the flowers, the beautiful trees, the waterfall. Oh my gosh, it is all amazing."
Jake said "Thank you Sophie, l know you'd love it. Me and my parents used to camp here before, we had fun and everything so l couldn't leave the fun behind so l kept coming here almost everytime making sure l kept here in good condition."
Sophie said "You did a good job, l love it." Jake then pulled out something and gave her. It was a diamond necklace. Sophie said "I guess l am the luckiest girl in the world, the diamond is beautiful." Then the two leaned in and they kissed.
While kissing, a glowing old looking book painted brown appeared in their front floating in the air. Jake was very scared thinking it was a ghost so they ran away and the book followed them. Jake ran so fast that Sophie could not catch up because of her high heels and stumbled upon a rock causing her to fall.
The book started humming a song and as Sophie heard it, she fell in a trance and she stood up, stretched her hand and touched the book. As she did so, a wave pushed her backwards and she fell unconscious.
