FREYA'S POV
"Freya!!!"
Urghhhh.
Today's my first day in my new school, like I never knew I was gonna transfer from Gregory college to this new place .
My parents and I moved from my hometown at Riverdale to halesville last month because of the intense bullying I experienced there.
Grudgingly, I tugged aside my bedcover, having no strength in me to drag myself to the bathroom.
Honestly, being a transfer student is unwholesome. I hated this so much.
If not for the intensity of the bullying I faced in my previous school, I would have still managed.
But here we are.
"Yikes!" The screeched as the edge of the eyeliner touched my eye.
"Ah! Fuck this." Quickly dropping it down, I cleaned the stain out with my napkin, applied slight lipgloss and blush.
I was ready to go.
I checked the time on my room clock, and I'm glad to say it's 7:45 and classes start by 8.
'What a pretty way to show up on your first day, great' .
Rushing to my closet, I quickly put on anything in sight.
A blue denim jeans, white top and a black purse to match with my sneakers.
Putting my hair in a bun, I glanced at myself in the mirror.
The sticky notes on the edges.
"You are beautiful"
"You are smart"
"You are more than you think you are".
I recited these words everyday to get the confidence boost I needed.
It was my Mom's idea during the time it all started.
Sometimes I see them as empty written words but other days I just…I don't know.
'No matter what, you would always be the best'

I continued standing, just staring at myself in the mirror.
"FREYA! What are you still doing? You are late!" My mum came barging into my room, disrupting my thoughts of nothingness.
"I'm almost done-
"What do you mean almost done? I'm giving you only 5 minutes, this is 7:48 if you don't come down by 7:50, you will see the other side of me" she said and left.
Yep 5 minutes from now is 7:50, don't mention.
I checked the time again at 7:52 "oh shit!" I quickly rushed downstairs to see my mum already planning on coming up.

Her expression alone was enough to shut me up.
She didn't even say a word but gave that *eye* which said everything.
Breakfast was peaceful with my mum's chattering on how late I am.
I'd finished my breakfast and waited as my dad was gonna drop me off at school today.
Speaking of the devil
"How is my favorite wife and daughter" he came down the stairs and kissed my mum which I still found irritating to watch (or maybe cause I'm single 🥲)
"I'm your only child" I corrected playfully. He smiles "potato potato, no matter what you will always be my princess" he kissed my forehead.
With everything done and everyone ready, we headed to my school. Which I was still hella nervous about.
This really made me sick.
Not less than 30 minutes we were in front of

It's really nice, from what I saw online but what really happens there compared to Gregory college.
It's both boarding and day and looks really expensive.
Of course dad would go all the way to get all these for me to give me a good life and I really appreciated it.
I exited the car, clutching my purse.
"Love you princess" dad said as he drove off.
LYCAERIS UNIVERSITY here I come.
Only if I knew what awaited me behind those gates.
