A/N: Yes, I know it's a day late but I was too lazy to post this yesterday.
Warning for this chapter, it takes place very far into the future. So, some things might be pretty confusing that will only make sense much later on. I just wanted to make a chapter with some fluff. This chapter will also show some capabilities Josephs system will have in the future.

Walking inside I close the door behind me. Making sure the door is locked and also making sure nothing else can enter the shelter I let out a small sigh.
'This… is really getting tiring…'
Walking into the living room I place down the worn-down bag I was wearing on the couch.
Looking around I finally notice something.
'Where's Inv? He would usually be waiting for me at the door and pounce on me…'
But looking around, he's nowhere in sight…
"Inv? I'm home." I raise my voice just enough for Inv to hear me.
Not getting a response back however makes me a bit worried. There isn't many places for him to be here. There's only the living room, the kitchen, bathroom and bedroom…
He should've heard me…
Walking into the kitchen I see he's not waiting in here…
'Where is he?'
Before I start walking out of the kitchen, out of the corner of my eye I see a piece of paper.
Picking up the piece of paper it says.
'Welcome Home Joey!! I'm sorry for not meeting you at the door but it's for a very good reason!! I have a very special surprise waiting for you in the bedroom so don't keep me waiting~'

Reading the note Inv left, I see that he's gotten pretty good at writing in English. I can't help but fondly remember when he first tried writing English when I first started teaching him… good times…

Putting down what Inv wrote me in the Notes section of my system, I start heading to the bedroom. I'm not sure what's waiting for me inside, but I still can't help but wonder why he didn't say anything back when I called out his name? What kind of surprise is waiting for me?
I walk up to the bedroom door and open it.
What I see inside on the bed is…
"Hai Joey!!! Welcom hom!!"
…
"Inv… what are you doing?" On the bed I see Inv somehow wrapped up in rope with a bow on top of his head.
"W-wel u se… i waned tu surpris u! Et a bery specil cycl afer al!! So i tought da bes gif tu giv u… wud be me!!" Inv says to me while looking like he's actually trying to escape from the mess he's got himself into.
'Well, he's not wrong. This is the best gift I could ask for' I think to myself as I walk up to my tied-up partner.
"Inv, how the heck did you wrap yourself up like this?" I ask as I try to free Inv from the rope. I don't know where Inv got this rope from but it's really tough for some reason!
"Hehe… i weally don kno… du u lik yur gif??" Inv asks me in a hushed voice.
"Of course I do, the best gift I coulda asked for. Now hold still Inv, I can't get this off of you if you keep moving like that" I say to Inv as he keeps nudging me with his tail.
"Bu Joey… Don u wan tu enjoy yur presen?? I al defensless an cant mov~" Inv says in a seductive voice, His skin turning a mix of red and pink.
"Well I have to open the present first, right? Only then can I really enjoy it~" I say back, not falling for Inv's words.
"Besides, I still need to give you my present. You really think I wouldn't get you something on this special cycle?"
"W-weally? U didn hav tu ge anything fo me…"
"You deserve everything Inv, I would give the entire universe to you if I could"
…
Inv's entire body flashes gold for a split second before going back to all red.
"A-al i ned es u Joey…"
Hearing Inv say this makes me feel at peace. Even after all these cycles, I still feel the same way I do about Inv the first time I met him. To know he feels the same way is the best gift I could ever get.
"Thanks Inv… ok but seriously, how did you make it this bad Inv?" I say while struggling to get this damn rope off of Inv!
"U gota work fur yur gif Joey~" Inv says back smugly, His tail wagging against the rope's constraints.
…
"Well… I guess I won't be able to give you my gift then… it would've tasted really good to…" I say back to Inv faking sadness.
"F-fud?! H-hol on!" Inv excitedly says before straight up ripping the rope off with pure strength.
Not surprised by Inv taking the rope off so easily he looks at me with impatience.
Before I can say anything more, I see Inv quickly crouch down into a pouncing stance.
"W-wait Inv! Hold on-
But it's too late. The beast has been freed from its rope prison and pounces on me.
Being hit by the force of a pillow that's twice my size; I find myself pinned on the bed with Inv mounted on top of me.
"Wut u ge Joey!!" Inv asks while moving his face right in front of mine. Feeling his tail thumping on the bed from excitement I try my best to control myself.
"Something you haven't had for a long time Inv. Have you eaten anything yet this cycle?"
After asking this I see Inv's face shyly look away.
"Hehe… i uhh… i ben on da be sinc da las cycl…" Inv says sheepishly while looking away.
I let out a small chuckle now knowing Inv was waiting on the bed for almost a whole cycle.
"Well then this gift will be perfect"
Raising one of my paws from my pinned location I get ready to bring out my gift.
Going through the stuff that's inside my systems storage I pick the item and snap my fingers.
Snap*
Appearing out of thin air, a heart shaped container that's double the size of my head lands right next to my head.
"Happy Valentine's Day Inv"
Inv looks over to the container and his eyes go wide.
"E-e-es dat wut i tink et es?!" Inv says back with shock.
"Yup, your favorite" looking over to the container is a big heart size box of a big Kit-kat.
Yes, it's literally a big heart sized shaped Kit-kat. Getting this damn thing from my universe was… pretty expensive. But it's only a drop in the ocean compared to my goal right now.
"W-waoow!! Tank u Joey!!" Inv moves down and starts hugging me tightly. I can also feel his body starting to curl around me at the same time.
"No problem Inv" I hug Inv back. Just letting myself drown in the comfort that is Inv.
After hugging for a bit, Inv lifts his head up now with a slightly concerned expression.
"B-bu Joey… didn u say dis kin of stuf was expensiv?? Woudnt dis-
"Don't worry Inv, this is nothing compared to what I need." Hearing Inv say this I solemnly say this back. I don't want Inv worrying about this. This is my responsibility.
…
After a long period of silence I see Inv's face turn into one of sadness. It hurts seeing him like this. I know how he feels…
""H-hoaw… hoaw mutc longr du w-we hav tu wai J-Joey?"

"Soon Inv… I'm so damn close… I just… I just need to work a bit more" I say back to Inv in a defeated voice.
"I jus… i jus wan tu se him agan…" Inv's voice quivers.
"I-I know Inv… I do to… but you know we can't. Not right now, it will ruin everything"
In response Inv rests his head against the side of my neck letting out faint whimpers. Seeing him like this hurts. I know how he feels. I want to see him so badly too. But I know we can't. If we do, he would be pulled into this mess.
And that's the last thing I want to happen.
"I'm sorry Inv…" I hug Inv trying to comfort him.
"I… i kno et noat yur falt Joey… i sory fur makin tings sad…"
"It's ok… if you want… you can come with me next time?"
Inv's head slightly perks up and looks at me.
"W-weally?" Inv asks in slight surprise.
"Yeah, with the necklace and wrist band I gave you, you should be able to walk around freely"
"W-woaw! Ok!" Seeing Inv slightly perk up from his sad mood makes me relieved.
"Yup now come on Inv, this kitkat ain't gonna eat itself" I point at the heart shaped kitkat next my head.
"Oh ye! Tank u!"
Getting off of me, Inv starts unwrapping the contained enormous amount of chocolate. If Inv hasn't eaten anything this cycle this should be enough to fill him completely. I think.
Being able to sit up on the bed now I watch as Inv starts devouring the chocolate at record speeds.
Throughout these cycles I've learned the best way to Inv's heart is food. What would a bunch of flowers do for Inv? He would probably just try to eat the flowers.
…
On second thought, no. he did try to eat the flowers I got him last time.
Enjoying the sight of my partner enjoying himself I can't help but think what Inv just asked…

Closing my eyes I look at my karma points.

I'm close… so fucking close… I just need 19 million more. Then… then I can finally see him again.

Opening my eyes I see Inv is already almost done eating the chocolate.
'Wow that was really… wait a second…' Stopping my train of thought I notice Inv looks noticeably… bigger.
Quickly looking at Inv's food pips I see it's gone past his normal amount now totaling to 21 food pips…
"H-hey Inv maybe you should-
During mid-sentence a stray piece of kitkat somehow fly's off from Inv and lands right on my lap… right between my legs…
Looking down at the chocolate for a second I look up at the more noticeably plumper Inv. With no more chocolate around him, I see him looking at the last piece of it where it landed like a predator looking at prey…
"W-wait Inv! -
But it's too late, the predator has already pounced at the prey right between my legs.
Immediately my vision turns into a world of bright blue as I'm smothered by Inv.

A/N: Little fun chapter that has very confusing plot points that no one will understand but me.
Think of this as a little bonus chapter as well, I saw we got into the top 200 power stone list for the 30 day bracket! yeah, I was like in spot 192 but it's the fact I was there!
Amongst all the oversaturated media being used for fanfiction nowadays, a Rain World fan fiction was on there! isn't that cool?! Just some random Inv plush appeared on someone's list, and they can't help but ask why!
