"It's how many times I died from before when I arrived here" I say this looking slightly away from Inv.
"O-oh…" I hear Inv mutter out.

Feeling the atmosphere between us growing more awkward, I think of something to say to change the topic but am stopped when I feel Inv's paw on my shoulder.
Surprised by the sudden contact, I look back at Inv. Looking up I see Inv looking at me with a small smile.
"E-et ok Joey… dat als hapen tu me alo tu…" Inv says to me. I'm honestly not sure if that's the best thing to say to try to cheer me up but in a way… it sorta did.
'Man look at me getting all depressed… he's probably died way more times than I have!'
Thinking this, I see Inv look back at the number.
Inv raises his paw, and I see one of his claws come out. Before I can question what he's even doing I watch as he crosses out the number in a big X with ease.
"Wit me awound u won hav tu wory abou dat!" Inv says while puffing his chest out.
'Wow… that was actually really sweet…'
Seeing Inv try to cheer me up like this makes me feel a bit better.
"Thanks, Inv…" while saying this I put a paw on his puffed-out chest.
"I'll also have your back as well" I say to Inv with a smile.
"Mhm!" Inv nods with a beaming smile and looks back at the wall.
"Su wut dus dis ay her Joey?" Inv points to the fanfic.
"Nothing! Absolutely nothing! Just a bunch of gibberish I wrote down while I was bored!" I rapidly say towards Inv. My only saving grace is that he can't read English.
'The things I wrote on there… he can never know'
"Oh… ok" Inv says back while still curiously looking at the fanfic.

'I seriously hope he can't read that'
Letting silence take over the both of us. I can feel sleepiness slowly crawling back to me. I'm not as tired as before due to the power nap I had on Invs back earlier, but I am still tired…
"Su Joey… fro wher we lef of earler…"
I feel Inv take his paw off my shoulder and my paw no longer on his chest. I watch in surprise as he slowly walks to the middle of the shelter. Looking back at me I see a big smile slowly spreading across his face.
"Joey~" Inv says in a tone that I can only think of as… seductive.
Inv turns his back to me, his tail starting to sway side to side just like earlier. Feeling my heartbeat faster I watch as he lays down on his stomach.
Getting almost hypnotized by his moving tail, I see his head turn around towards me. Inv must've noticed me watching his moving tail since his smile turns into a smug grin.
"U weady tu bit me Joey?~"

Gulp*
I swear he's starting to be less shy and more… confident… the longer I spend time with him, and it's only been less than one cycle… I can only imagine how he'll act in the following cycles.
"Always ready~" and I can't wait for those following cycles.
After saying this I bring out the claws on both my feet and paws.
Slowly walking up to Inv I start trailing one of my claws along Invs tail to the side of his stomach. Hearing Inv trying to steady his breathing while I do this makes me feel satisfied. To know that he likes my touch…
When I reach his side, I hop onto Invs back. Like before I can feel Inv's fur start wrapping around my arms and legs but at a much fervent pace this time. It's like his fur wants to hold me down and keep me there forever…
But with ease I slowly walk across his back getting closer to Invs face that's currently looking back at me with… an interesting expression.
While getting closer I make sure to scratch with my claws as hard as I can. I'm not worried about doing this since it doesn't hurt Inv at all. Each time my claws go through Invs fur they just go back to squirming trying to wrap around my paws.
Slowly taking my time and enjoying the sight of Invs skin flaring in pink and red I finally reach his face.
Inv at this point is… deeply panting… his head shining red.
Seeing this I don't let up this momentum.
Standing up I look down slightly at Invs face who's right at my chest level. Even while standing up on his back, I'm reminded once again how much bigger Inv is compared to me… but I don't let this demotivate me.
"So Inv… which ear do you want me to bite?~" I whisper in front of Inv. I want to at least make sure if Inv cares which ear I bite.
"E-et don mater…" Inv says in a hushed voice and lowers his head slightly presenting his big fluffy ears.
'Does he not have a neck bone? How is he even doing that?'
I don't ponder on this question for long as I close in on his ears. Right when I get to his ears Inv lowers his head further down putting his face right into my chest. Getting a load of ear in front of me I try to calm down my quickly beating heart but fail to.
Having Inv so close to me like this is… surreal. To not push me away but actually want to be closer to me…

Trying to recollect my thoughts I focus on his ears.
"Are you sure Inv?" I ask just to make sure he doesn't care which ear I bite
"Mhm…" Inv muffles out. I can feel the vibrations of his action spread across my chest when he does this. Shivering from the feeling I start thinking of which ear to choose…
