'No seriously, what just happened?'
I cover my face with the back of my paw thinking over what just happened.
When I started biting Inv's ear I started getting… really into it.
I remember the system saying something, but I can't completely remember… all I know is at the end it said something about marking Inv's soul?

'His soul? That… that actually sounds really important…'

'Damn it I can't remember what it exactly said!'
I do know that it said a lot more than it usually would say. Probably the most I heard it speak at all actually. And of course, I was too… uhh… aroused to really think straight to listen to it.

Biting Inv's ear was… a lot more sensual than I would've thought…
Actually… thinking about that, didn't something exit through my teeth into his ear? What the heck was that?

And why did it feel so good?!
At this point my breathing has completely calmed down and I'm able to think clearly now.
I don't completely know what happened just now, but I clearly just marked Inv…
But I didn't hear it say anything about getting a new passive?

Thinking about the mark, that's when I notice a certain iron taste in my mouth…

'Blood?'
Tasting blood in my mouth I take my paw off my face and lift myself up in worry.
Looking forward I see Inv resting his head on the ground while panting.
I put my attention on his left ear that I bit, and I feel guilt invade my heart.
What I see is a deep bite mark on Inv's ear that still has blood trickling out.
"Inv! I'm so sorry!" I get up on my feet and quickly move towards the back of Inv's head.
"Huh?? Joey??" Inv turns his head towards me with confusion.
"I said if it hurt too much to tell me Inv! Why didn't you say anything…"
Getting a closer look at his ear makes me feel even worse seeing the state it's in.
"O-oh… et ok Joey… noaw we bot evan…" Inv says this while moving his head towards my chest.
I feel a bit surprised when Inv starts rubbing his head against my chest in an… affectionate way.
"Inv…" I'm only able to utter his name. If Inv feels ok about this… then there's really nothing else to say.
Seeing Inv's skin shine a light pink I raise my paw and start gently rubbing the back of his head.
'Well… at least nothing bad actually happened. I think the both of us actually enjoyed that more than I thought we would…'
While rubbing Inv's head I can feel him slowly start to purr as well.

'I feel like I'm petting an overgrown house cat right now'
Not that I mind. This is the most comfortable I've felt in forever.
But… I still can't help but feel bad about Inv's ear… I wish there was some way I could bandage it up or something… but I know next to nothing about that sort of stuff. And even if I could, where would I get the supplies like that in this fucked up world? This is why it's so dangerous to be severely injured. The moment you get injured in a serious way you're basically dead at that point.
Thankfully I don't think the bite mark itself will severely impact Inv himself… it will leave a mark, but it should heal fine…

'Actually, now that I'm looking at it… I can see it getting better!'
In amazement while petting Inv's head. I see the bite mark slowly start to heal at visible speeds!
Seeing the ear stop bleeding all that's left is the bite mark I made on his pink ear.
The only difference now on his ear is a bite mark that's around the upper top of his ear.
Feeling a bit better I watch as his ear starts getting even more pinker.

Wait… pinker?
Paying closer attention, I see the ear start turning a brighter and brighter pink. This pink is different from the usual way Inv's skin glows… what I'm seeing is something more like the color of… my fur??
"Uhhh… Inv do you feel alright? Like… does your ear hurt in any way?" I ask Inv somewhat worried as I watch his ear turning as pink as my fur.
"Ye!!! I fel ok!!! Me ear don hur et al! Et actul tingle wight noaw!!" Inv slightly looks up at me and says this.
I feel a bit relieved hearing him say he's ok but still seeing the ear transform into a color that doesn't match at all with the rest of him still has me a bit worried.
As I watch on, I see the color spread more and more across his entire ear until it matches my exact fur color. And when the ear is completely covered in pink…
"Oh! Noaw me fac es tingle!"
I see the pink hue start spreading around the upper left side of Inv's face!
Stopping my pets I grab both sides of Inv's face pulling it closer to mine and watch in worry as I see the color spreading around that part of his face.
"J-joey??" Inv says my name in confusion.
"Inv are you sure you feel ok?" I ask Inv again.
"Uhhh ye? Wut wong???"
While holding Inv's head I can see his face slowly start turning red. But what I notice is that while his face is turning red. The area that's been infected with my fur color isn't changing color at. Staying a constant pink.
'No! Why is this happening?! I'm supposed to be the pink one! Not Inv!' I think to myself in worry.
After a bit more time of watching I see the color spread around his Left eye. Right after this the spreading stops.

Seeing the color not spread anymore I feel majorly relieved… I thought he was about to become fully pink or something…
Now the question is…
'Why the fuck did that just happen?!'
