What I see is perfection in its finest form. Nothing else could ever beat it. If you told me I'd only get one look and have to permanently die, I would happily accept.
In front of me I see Inv laying on his side on what I can assume is a very luxurious bed. Not only laying on his side but also showing everything for me to see in all its glory.
"I-inv! W-what are you doing?! W-why are you…" not being able to form any more words I cover my face with my paws. Looking through the cracks of my fingers I try my best to look away but…
'Holy shit! Holy shit! Holy shit! Holy shit!' I internally scream inside.
"esnt et obvous?" while saying this Inv sits up on the bed giving me an even clearer view!
Noticing my eyes, Inv's smile grows even smugger, and I see him spread his legs wider!
"Lik wu u se?~" Inv saying this in a seductive voice and with everything else I can feel myself about to faint.
Trying my best not to faint from such a god send of an opportunity I respond back.
"Y-yeah… I really do… b-but what are you trying to do here Inv?" I honestly admit to Inv while asking him the dumb question on what he's doing. I just want to make sure we're on the same page!
"Oh… yu kno wut im twying tu du… u don tink I didn notic u loking et me da wa u ded last cycl?" Inv responds back to me crossing his legs. At this point I'm not able to look away any longer and have my eyes completely glued on Inv.
"W-well yeah? How can I keep my eyes off of something so beautiful?" In response to my answer, I hear a small giggle come from Inv.
"I c, i c… I als notic hoaw yu espcialy lik loking et me tail?" Saying this, Inv stands up on the bed on all 4's turning around showing me the clearest view I've seen by far. Rotating his tail in circles slowly.
'I think I died and now I'm in heaven'
Becoming completely entranced by his tail and everything else I can feel my head start growing cloudy.
"Are… are you sure you want to do this Inv?" I ask between shaky breaths barely able to stop from pouncing onto Inv.
Stopping his movement, Invs head looks back at me at extreme angle that shouldn't be possible. This doesn't bother me one bit however. This just ups my drive even further.
His entire body slowly turning a dark pink he looks at me with a smile. His tail fully raising up with only 2 words to say.
"I weady~"
And that's all I needed to hear. Not letting my nervousness and anxiety hold me back anymore I walk towards the pearly gates that shall send me to the highest of heavens.
Just like the turkey downstairs I shall feast until I'm satisfied and stuff it full.
I need no fork nor knife. Only my 2 paws and mouth.
'Truly… I am truly thankful for this meal…'
With this final thought I completely switch my brain off and pounce on Inv and-

His tears slowly drying on his face, Inv looks up at the ceiling. Having calmed down by now, Inv can only regret the way he acted towards Joey.
It's just the moment he saw himself in that… strange metal thing. Everyone he ever met that told him he was a monster or an abomination suddenly felt true. All he saw was a monster. Nothing more…
Looking down at the pink slugcat he's holding in his arms, Inv can only wonder… Why? Why does Joey not see him the way he sees himself?

If anything… ever since meeting Joey, he's been nothing but… nice?
Every creature Inv has met so far has either murdered or severely insulted Inv. Most of the time both.
For so long Inv looked for someone to just… talk to? Be with?
In all honesty Inv himself didn't know… the whole finding a mate thing was something Inv gave up on a long time ago… he never actually thought he would ever find someone… he only did it at this point because he could do nothing else. Only hanging on to the false hope that maybe… just maybe someone would just be… nice to him… not immediately attempt to flee or kill him the moment they saw him.

When Inv first saw Joey, he hesitated. Just like every time before, what if this one reacted just like all the others? Was it worth it to even try anymore? Everyone else in this world rejected him already… What difference would this one make? Giving up, Inv was going to leave until the pink creature itself called him out.

Being found out, Inv decided it would be worth one more shot. Just one more try…
At first… it went like every other time. The first moment the small pink creature saw him it acted extremely aggressive against him. Seeing this, Inv already gave up at this point. Another failure. He was destined to be alone. Why did he even bother tryin-

It was the moment the pink creature slapped itself that things went differently than every other time. Instead of being hostile it was friendly. Instead of being cold towards him it was warm towards him. In all the time he had lived, the very small amount of time he had spent with the pink creatu- no… slugcat. The time he had spent with Joey has been the best of his miserable life.
Even now… feeling Joey's small arms try to wrap around him…

For once in his life. He had found happiness.

And that happiness accepted him.

Squeezing Joey a little tighter, Inv can truly tell how fragile Joey is compared to him. The last thing he wanted to do was hurt him again. Even if Joey forgave him, he never wanted to hurt him again.
Looking back at the strange metal piece on the ground, Inv silently stares at it.

'Maybe… maybe I'm not a monster?' thinking this to himself Inv looks away from it.
Feeling much better he gets ready to tell Joey he's fine until Inv picks up on a very faint sound.

Hearing very quiet snores, Inv finally realizes Joey fell asleep. Inv can only wonder how long he has been asleep for…
Not wanting to wake Joey up, Inv carefully holds him close and lays on his side with Joey pressed against his chest.
Inv himself is feeling pretty tired from all that's happened since he woke up. Being able to luckily cross the broken bridge with the strange jumpy thing he was able to finally reach this area without being blocked off.
All the other times he's tried to come here the strange metal gate would always block him off but this time it didn't!
'I guess I would call it a cycle? Joey did call it that…'
With how long this cycle has lasted, sleep is quickly catching up on Inv.
Feeling the warmth emanate from Joey, Inv holds him close.
For once to actually fall asleep, not alone…
But before falling asleep Inv can hear something akin to… laughter?
Focusing with his ears, Inv can closely hear something from Joey.
"Hehehehehehehe" only hearing quiet giggling from Joey, Inv can only think this is something he does while he sleeps?
Well, it doesn't bother Inv in the slightest and actually makes Inv even more happy hearing his partners laughs.
With a smile slowly crept on his face, Inv falls asleep.
His skin shining in a golden hue.
