'He can tell exactly where I am somehow? Does this have something to do with the passive I just got?'
Testing it out further I keep switching back and forth between left and right. Every single time Inv is able to pinpoint exactly where I am. He even somehow knew I hid behind the popcorn plant at one point!
Not being able to throw him off even once makes me start to believe I'm right.
'The passive definitely did something… I'm really curious now on what it exactly does. I'll just have to check it later though'
With a better understanding of what Inv was trying to explain, I think it's a good time to stop this little game. He still needs to eat and get in that shelter!
As I'm about to tell him this though I remember he has his ears completely covered right now while also looking away from me…

'Well… he knows where I am so I shouldn't spook him this time'
Feeling a little mischievous, instead of moving to the left or right I move exactly to the area right behind him.
"Midle!" Hearing Inv yell this out, I slightly chuckle.
In a straight line I start closing in on Invs back.
"Midle!"
I get closer.
"Midle!"
I'm almost right on Invs back.
"Midle?" Inv says this time with a bit of confusion in his voice.
Before Inv can turn around to see what I'm doing I take this chance to pounce on his tail!
Already in position I do a small leap and land right on Inv's tail.
"J-joey?!?! Wut ar yu doin?!?" I hear Inv say this in a flustered voice as I'm rubbing my face against his tail.
I look up and see Inv looking down at me with his face being bright red. His torso is somehow twisted 180 degrees as well…
'Damn he's flexible! He didn't even turn his lower body around and he's somehow able to look down at me when I'm right behind him!'
While I'm amazed by this, I keep feeling up Inv's tail.
"Sorry Inv! You were just wide open! Besides, you knew I was walking up behind you right?" I ask Inv wanting to confirm my earlier thoughts.
"Y-ye I duno y bu ets lik I ca t-tel wher yu a-alwa ar!" Inv explains to me while stuttering between words. I can feel shivers coming through his tail as well while I'm on his tail.
"I think I know why Inv, it's the mark you gave me!" I stop rubbing my face against his tail and look up saying this. Pointing at the gash on my cheek.
The pain has gone down a little but it's still there. And I can barely feel any more blood coming out so that's good…
"H-huh?? Hoaw dos Dat le me kno whee u ar?" Inv cocks his head at 90 degrees with a confused expression. Seeing the mixture of his entire torso turned around and his head being twisted at such an angle I'm starting to believe Inv has no bones in his body.
either that or there just very very flexible bones…

With this thought popping up in my head I quickly hop up off of Invs tail in embarrassment. Getting back on my feet I look back at Inv who looks a little disappointed by my action.
"S-sorry Inv if it were up to me, I'd be on that tail all da-
I stop myself before finishing that.
"I-I mean you still need to eat Inv! Come on! I'll try to explain how the mark works while you're eating!" I say this rapidly trying to not show my embarrassment from what I was just about to say before that.
"O-ok???" Inv fully turns his body around. His face looks confused but is also shining red which tells me he definitely knew what I was about to say.
While trying to push down my embarrassment, we both quickly go back in front of the popcorn plant. I can see a good portion of the kernels have turned blue…
"So Inv how much more do you think you can eat?" I turn my head to Inv asking this question.
"A cupl mor an i shud b gud!" Inv says back while reaching for a kernel that doesn't have blue stains on it.
"Alright, so about the mark…" I stop to make sure Inv is listening since he's munching on a kernel right now.
"Mhm?" Hearing Inv make this noise I continue.
"So, you know how I explained earlier that your ability is to spit out an egg bomb every cycle?"
Inv finishes the kernel he was eating.
"Ye?" Inv says while reaching for another non-stained kernel.
"Well, my ability somehow… registered your mark as a part of it" I try explaining in a simple way.
"Yur ability? Y wud et du dat??" Inv asks in confusion before proceeding to munch on another kernel.
"I uhhh... honestly have no idea? But isn't this a good thing? Now you'll know where I'm at, at all times!"
Inv's eyes widen slightly from my words. Swallowing the kernel he was eating he looks at me with a bit of concern.
"Ar u sur dats a gud ting? Fo me tu alwa kno wher yu ar?" I'm sort of surprised by Inv's concern about this. Is he worried about my privacy or something?
"Why wouldn't it be a good thing? If I'm ever in trouble, you'll always be able to find me! I would always want my partner to know where I am!" I say to Inv. I wonder if I sound a bit insane saying this honestly. I essentially just told Inv I'm cool with him knowing where I always am…
"I c…" hearing Inv mutter this I wonder if I said something wrong. I don't think I did since his skin is glowing red and pink right now?
Actually, now that I notice… his skin is starting to turn more and more pink for some reason?
Seeing Inv thinking to himself in silence I wonder what exactly he's thinking about that would make his skin turn more and more pink like this.
"Inv is something wrong?"

Inv looks back at me with a determined expression as if he just decided something important.
In surprise I watch as Inv lowers his head to my eye level.
"Inv what are you doing?" I ask Inv trying to keep my cool since he's close to me just like earlier. I don't get my hopes up this time, so I don't get disappointed again. But what I hear Inv say next completely catches me off guard.
"Joey…" Inv says in a low deep voice.
