Before I can even register what Inv just said, I feel something equivalent to a giant soft bean bag hit me. I'm immediately smothered by all sides as if something is curling around me. I don't feel any pain however…
Feeling as if millions of tiny spiders are walking all over me, I realize that it's Inv who is currently wrapped around me.
'I like the physical contact and all but why the heck did he pounce on me like that?'
Thinking this to myself I take this opportunity to start feeling Inv again. Can't say no to close contact like this, right?
Feeling around, I find myself rubbing the part in front of me. I think this is his stomach?
"Hehe dat tikles!" I hear Inv's muffled voice through his fur.
"Hey Inv, why are you curled around me like this?"
"Tu protec u fram eg!"
Protect me? Oh right… the egg bomb did hit the ground… it would've gone off at this point though, so we're safe.
I don't say anything to Inv however as I take advantage of the situation.
While I keep feeling up Inv's fur I can feel him shuffle a bit.
"Hmm? Eg nu go of???" seems like he's finally noticed. I'm actually flattered that he didn't hesitate at all to protect me from the egg bomb.
Even if it would've still killed the both of us if it went off but it's the thought that counts!
I feel Inv slowly start uncurling around me. My paw hits empty air where a part of Inv used to be and I can't help but feel disappointed.
'Ah damn it… guess that's over'
I stand up as I watch Inv walk over to the egg bomb. Inv picks up the egg bomb and brings it back to me.
"U didn eet et???" Inv asks me while holding the egg bomb.
"No, like I said, I stored it in my stomach pouch. I can spit it back out any time I want as well. This way I don't have to carry it in one of paws"
"Woa… so et saf???"
"Uhhhh maybe? You don't have to give me the egg bomb if you don't want to"
"Nu nu nu!!! Hera!!! Dis yur gif!!!"
Once again, I find myself carefully grabbing the egg bomb from Inv.
"Alright but I'm going to store it in my stomach pouch, ok?" I look at Inv before I store the egg bomb. As much as I would like him to pounce on me again, I'd rather he do that in the shelter then out here.
Keeping an eye on Inv, I slowly raise the egg bomb to my mouth and open wide.

Storing the egg bomb in my stomach pouch again I can see Inv looking at me with curiosity.
"Joey cen i aso du dat??" Hearing Inv ask this question I also grow a bit curious. Since he's a slugcat(I think he's one?) He should also have a stomach pouch.
"I'm not sure? Here we can try real quick" I say as I look around me. Spotting a piece of debris nearby I walk over and pick it up. Bringing back the piece of debris I give it to Inv.
"Try swallowing this"
"I cen jus eet et??" Inv says while raising the piece of debris to his mouth.
"No! Don't try to eat it, just try swallowing it whole. Don't chew it as well!" I say to Inv quickly before he can put the debris in his mouth.
"Jus shwalo?" To Inv's words I shake my head up and down. Remembering when I first tried to figure out how to use a stomach pouch it took me many times to get it down. There was even one time where I choked to death on a rock… that death sucked…
While thinking this I watch Inv raise the debris to his mouth and-
'Holy shit!?'
What I see is sort of horrifying. Inv opens his mouth so wide that I can see the entirety of the inside of his mouth. I've never seen such sharp teeth before! Not even a red lizard's teeth looks that sharp! And there's not only one set of teeth?!
'Theres 3 fucking rows! How do you function with 3 rows of teeth?!'
Before I can observe any further Inv closes his mouth shut.

"You feel ok Inv?" I ask Inv with a little concern. I don't need him choking on a piece of debris before he can even eat!
"Ye i ok… i feal a bi fuler bu en a difern wa"
Feeling relieved hearing this, I also understand what he means. When storing something in your stomach pouch it makes you feel full as if you just ate a lot but if you spit it back out the feeling will go away.
Before I can explain to Inv that it's normal to feel like that, I see him run to another piece of debris and picking it up.
"Wait Inv! You can only store one ite-

'What the fuck? Did he just swallow another piece of debris???'
I run up to Inv.
"Inv… how do you feel?"
"Hmmmmm… i feal ful! Joey i cen eet wocks!! I nat hungwy enymor!!!" Inv says back while jumping up and down in excitement.
'What the hell man… if he feels full now then doesn't that mean he has 2 stomach pouches?'

That might be useful in the future but for now I have to ruin Inv's excited mood.
"Sorry Inv, but you only feel full because your stomach pouches are full. You still need to eat actual food" I break the bad news to Inv.
"H-huh?? Su… i cent eet wocks???" Inv's excitement instantly plummets as he asks me this.
"Sorry Inv, you can't eat rocks"
That would be very convenient, but life is just never that easy.
"Awwwwww…" Inv plops down on the spot looking extremely sad. Good thing I have the perfect way to cheer him up.
"Remember what I said earlier Inv? I have something that you can eat to your hearts content!" Right after I say this Inv's ears perk up.
"Oh! Ye ye ye!!! Me forgor!" Inv stands back up with excitement.
Seeing his happy mood return I start making my way to the pole that leads down towards where the popcorn plant is.
'With Inv eating the dropwig earlier and if it's at least similar to how his food pips work in the game then that means he only has 1 and a half food pips filled right now. It's really a good thing I didn't touch that popcorn plant'
Thinking this though, I remember seeing the three pairs of teeth in Inv's mouth… What if he's much closer to a carnivore though? Then wouldn't he have 3 pips of food instead of 1 and a half?
'Man, I wish I could just see Inv's food pips and stuff…'
