Evie found me over an hour later. It was hard to tell time inside the tunnel. Most of the girls were already drunk off their heads. I wasn't an exception. Everywhere tilted to the side whenever I stood up too fast.
I couldn't get a hold of Charlotte. She was busy chatting away with a group of girls I didn't recognize. Maybe it was time to call it a day and head back to the door dorm.
The only problem was, I couldn't leave without Charlotte. And I wasn't bold enough to drag her away from the group.
Evie came over while I was contemplating how best to find my way out.
"You don't look like you're having a great time. Is the party too boring for you?" she had her easy smile on.
I shook my head. "No. Not at all."
She made herself comfortable beside me.
We sat in silence for a while before I asked her a question that had been bugging me. "Not to sound vain but what made you choose me? For the sisterhood I mean. What's the criteria for admitting new members."
