Liang opened the door and smiled politely. "Prince Zhan, please come in."
Yun Zhan stepped inside, his gaze immediately falling on Wang San. San was sitting up, looking a little pale but with that same mischievous spark in his eyes.
Liang said softly, "Thank you for everything, Prince Zhan. If it weren't for you, San might not have made it back." She gave a small bow and quietly excused herself, leaving the two alone.
San smirked. "Zhan—"
"Keep quiet," Yun Zhan interrupted in a calm but firm tone. "Let me heal you first."
San froze for a moment, caught off guard, then leaned back with a small smile. "Fine… but after this, you're listening to me."
Yun Zhan placed his hand over San's shoulder, a warm surge of energy flowing into him.
San squinted at him. "You're too serious, you know that? Does your face even know how to smile?"
"Focus," Zhan muttered.
San grinned. "If you keep glaring like that, I might think you're in love with me."
Zhan's fingers froze for just a second before he pressed harder on San's pressure point.
"Ah—ow! Hey! That's abuse! I'm a patient!"
"You're a noisy patient," Zhan replied, expression unreadable.
San chuckled despite the sting. "Admit it, you missed me when I fainted."
"...I missed the peace and quiet," Zhan said flatly, but the faintest twitch of his lips betrayed him.
