Chapter 5 - Letter

After Fulen carefully matched and memorized the contents of the book with the reality of Trier, he had already arrived at Tesong Street.

This long journey home made Fulen feel a bit foolish for walking back, but remembering that he had no social obligations to be busy with, he relaxed, treating it as familiarizing himself with Trier's road conditions.

Just as Fulen was about to open the door lock and push the door open, his spirituality seemed to fluctuate.

Fulen paused, then looked towards his mailbox, which he had never used in modern times.

Looking at the red mailbox, Fulen approached, casually glancing around as if unconcerned, then extended his right hand towards the red mailbox.

In fact, if one looked closely, they would find that Fulen did not have a key in his hand, but only a piece of paper, and the mailbox only had one opening, which, unfortunately, was on the front.

However, Fulen simply extended his hand firmly to the back of the mailbox, pressing the piece of paper against its back.

After covering his hand with spirituality in a way incomprehensible to ordinary people, Fulen's right hand seemed to effortlessly reach inside the mailbox.

When Fulen tried to pull his hand back, an awkward situation occurred: the envelope could not pass through the mailbox.

Fulen did not panic; he simply increased the spiritual coverage, spreading it over the envelope.

This time, Fulen successfully brought the envelope out of the mailbox.

Fulen was slightly surprised, but then he quickly understood: "If you can successfully pass through an obstruction while wearing clothes, then you can also pass other things through obstructions, it just might require a bit more spirituality to maintain. Note this down; I can experiment with it later."

Nodding, Fulen noted this matter down and planned to experiment with it tonight.

He turned and returned to the main door.

Looking at the very sturdy lock on the door, Fulen revealed a smile he didn't quite understand.

As his spirituality operated in another way, the lock on Fulen's house seemed to detach naturally, as if opened by an invisible hand, falling off as naturally as an apple falling to the ground when ripe.

As Fulen returned home, he recalled the abilities of an Apprentice: the main ability is "Open the Door", which manifests in three ways.

One way is to move himself as if to another world, thereby passing through the "Door". This method consumes a lot of ability.

If it covers the whole body, it can be done at most twice; perhaps digesting the potion would lead to less consumption, or perhaps his spirituality would be more abundant than it is now.

The second way is to open a dark blue door on a door, allowing a person to pass through entirely. This ability consumes less spirituality; Fulen can use it three times now, but he cannot bring others.

The last way is to open a lock without obstruction and without causing damage to the lock. This requires less spirituality and can be used relatively more times.

Fulen used the first method when taking out the envelope, and the last method when opening the door.

Besides these, what Apprentice brought to Fulen was only mediocre spirituality, slightly increased physical fitness, and improved memory.

According to records, an "Apprentice's" spirituality can only open the spiritual vision, but cannot see a person's health and emotions like a Seer.

The application conditions for an "Apprentice" can only act on a door.

That piece of paper was a lifelike drawing of a door.

This was a paper passed down from the Freeman Family; it would not be damaged, but it also had no Beyonder characteristic.

On its back was only an unidentifiable name that one inexplicably knew: "Gabriel Abraham" a direct ancestor of the Fulen Family who fell during the War of the Four Emperors.

He was an Angel in his lifetime.

After locking the door, Fulen took the letter to the study on the second floor.

After lighting a few necessary candles in this empty and large room illuminated by the crimson moonlight, Fulen entered the study.

In the study, where the brightness seemed to rival the Sun during the day, Fulen used a small knife to cut open the sealing wax used to seal the letter.

Before opening the letter, Fulen had already recalled the pattern of the sealing wax; it was the Abraham Family crest.

The sender of this letter could only be someone who knew Fulen was from the Abraham Family, and that was the Abraham Family's person in charge in Trier, the elder Lefu Abraham, who had already digested the Astrologer potion.

Of course, members of the Abraham Family do not use Abraham as their surname.

Fulen's surname is Freeman, his full name is Fulen Freeman, while Lefu Abraham's name is Lefu Crow.

This individual is also a rather famous merchant in Trier, primarily operating the Crow Mall.

Crow Mall is a mall that sells various exotic items from other places.

The Crow Family has ten merchant caravans that constantly transport goods back and forth from the North Continent.

Even in Trier, Lefu Crow can be considered a wealthy man.

"...A member of the Abraham Family in Trier has been discovered.

The reason is that his Beyonder ability was discovered by a suspected True God Church member at an Extraordinary Gathering.

Unfortunately, when that member escaped, some letters he was writing were discovered.

They mentioned that he was a member of the Abraham Family and stated that the number of Abraham Family members in Trier exceeded ten people.

Now, the True God Church and military personnel in Trier are frantically searching for traces of the Abraham Family..."

"...Given the current complex situation, and also to welcome the birth of our second Astrologer in Trier, I have decided to hold a family gathering on July 8th.

To be on the safe side, I need to leave some things for the Abraham Family members in Trier to ensure that the local Abraham Family does not become so weak as to forget the glory of their ancestors..."

After reading the letter, Fulen couldn't help but frown slightly.

He leaned back in his chair, constantly recalling the contents of the letter.

This letter was indeed written by Lefu Abraham, the person in charge of the Abraham Family in Trier.

Leaning back in the chair, tapping the table with his fingers, Fulen recalled the details of the letter and found that things were not as simple as Lefu Abraham had said.

"Although this letter is written very calmly, compared to Lefu's previous handwriting, it is indeed a bit messy."

Fulen thought about the handwriting of Lei Fu's previous letters, and this point was beyond doubt.

"If only that Abraham member had exposed the number of Abraham Family members when he escaped, it wouldn't be necessary to call everyone for a meeting; simply informing everyone by letter would suffice."

Could Lefu's name have been exposed?

This is somewhat possible, after all, the name of Lefu, the person in charge, is known to all Abraham Family members in Trier.

Could Lefu be planning to divide the Abraham Family's foundation in Trier into several portions for the remaining family members?

"There are several possibilities. If that's the case, then I might also be affected this time."

"After all, in the previous family gatherings, although everyone used iron masks to cover their faces, their figures were completely exposed, and their accents were heard by other members. If one person is divined, then I have no other choice but to flee Trier, Intis, and become a wanted criminal."

Fulen couldn't help but pinch his forehead.

This matter was still quite serious.

Moreover, if all the Abraham members in Trier were annihilated, Fulen wouldn't even know the Sequence 6 and Sequence 5 formulas, let alone Beyonder materials, let alone becoming a demigod.

"Strength! If I were already a demigod, there would be no need to avoid a True God Church sweep of this magnitude. The True God Church would not excessively act against the Abraham Family, who were once an Angel family and have a demigod. What's more, the Abraham Family is now detached from worldly affairs. It seems that the information about Abraham family not having a demigod, and even having very few mid-Sequence individuals, has long been leaked."

Recalling that he was still busy digesting the Apprentice matter, Fulen calmed his mood and began to study his abilities.
