Chapter 1 - REBIRTH ch-1

SHINDOM CH-1

A boy named Saahi had just transferred from junior school to high school. He stood in front of the building thinking, "I hope I don't get bullied here…"

Just then, a boy pushed him hard on the shoulder.

"Hey kid, what are you doing in high school?" the boy yelled.

"Pick up your skinny skeleton and go back to junior school!"

Saahi was small, thin, and weak—5.2 ft, age 16.

Shaking with fear, Saahi said, "I… I'm not a kid. This is my first year…"

The boy got angrier, grabbed Saahi by the collar, and lifted him.

"Oh, so you're comparing yourself to me now?"

He raised his right leg to kick Saahi, but just before the kick landed, another boy blocked it with his foot.

The bully looked up and saw two boys standing there.

One of them said, "Jack, why are you bothering this kid? If you want to fight, fight us."

Jack smirked. "Oh, Om and Vishu. The two dogs arrived again to annoy me? Fine, let's make a deal. Whoever wins this fight gets this kid."

Vishu pulled his leg back, and Jack removed his as well.

Vishu told Saahi, "Don't worry, kid. I'll protect you."

Saahi, still scared, said, "I'm not a kid… I'm a first-year student."

Vishu apologized and got ready to fight Jack.

Both took their fighting stances, but before they could begin, a teacher arrived and shouted:

"STOP! You kids do nothing except fight! Focus on your studies! Fighting and showing off your shin won't make your future better! This world is already dangerous enough—don't become my headache! Go back to your classes, you idiots!"

Jack stepped back and said to Vishu, "Fine, we'll fight another time."

He walked away laughing and warned Saahi, "You escaped today, but next time you won't."

Vishu helped Saahi up and asked his name. Saahi introduced himself, and then they introduced themselves:

"My name is Vishu," he said. "I'm in 11th."

Saahi asked, "So you're also new admission?"

Vishu replied, "No, I failed one time in 11th."

Om added, "Because this idiot failed, I am also repeating 11th."

While talking, Saahi asked them what they were discussing earlier. "What is 'shin-shin'?"

Both Vishu and Om stared at him.

Om asked, "Where did you live before? You're new here, right?"

Saahi nodded. "Yes. Earlier I used to live on the mountains with my father; he didn't take me outside much because the parasites are very dangerous outside."

Vishu nodded. "Okay, no problem. Today is the first day. Sir will explain everything."

Om, however, secretly felt suspicious of Saahi.

They all went to class and sat down. The same teacher who scolded them earlier entered — he was their class teacher.

He saw Vishu and Om sitting and shouted, "You two! Focus on studies for once! If you fail again, you'll be kicked out of the school!"

Then he introduced himself:

"Hello students, my name is Vansh Tripathi. I'll teach you history and geography.

Since today is the first day, the entire lecture will be about viruses and parasites."

He began explaining:

"A long time ago, when the world was normal, new parasites appeared. They infected plants, destroying large areas of crops. For the first time in history, plants evolved quickly and created a natural virus to protect themselves. It worked—many parasites died.

But the virus was dangerous for humans too.

Parasites adapted to the virus and used animals to evolve. They became strong enough to infect creatures and control them. Soon, humans started getting infected. The virus and parasites spread rapidly.

So humans divided the world into zones and invented a technique called Shin, which gives power from different animals—speed, reflexes, strength, flexibility, stamina…"

Right when he said this, the classroom door creaked open.

A parasitic human stood there.

It slowly stepped inside and turned its head toward a student sitting near the wall. It charged at him, but Vishu jumped forward to block it.

"Fight someone with strength equal to yours!" Vishu shouted and punched it.

But nothing happened.

The parasite punched Vishu back, and he nearly fainted.

Vishu thought, "If the next punch hits me, I'll die… how do I dodge…?"

But he couldn't react in time.

Right then, the teacher pulled Vishu down and said,

"Vishu! I told you not to fight!"

The teacher stood in front of the parasite and challenged it.

The parasite punched him, sending him crashing through a wall into the storage room.

It moved toward Vishu again, but Om stepped forward to help.

Another boy, Garvit, joined them.

Before they could attack, the teacher climbed out of the broken wall.

He said, "No matter how many times I stop you kids, you never listen. I said I'll handle this!"

The parasite charged at him.

He blocked it easily, punched it into the air, landed another punch on its face, and then threw it using a Brazilian kick.

After a short beating, the parasite was unconscious.

He put his foot on the parasite and said:

"Dear students, let me give you a proper introduction.

I am the former captain of the Vena Gang.

I was once a guard. I have killed more than 200 parasites.

I have mastered my Shin, but now I'm getting old, so I don't use it much.

From today, I will teach you history and geography."

He looked at Saahi and said:

"Saahi, you are very weak. Focus on your body.

This world is not safe at all.

Become strong — strong enough to protect others.

And once you become strong, don't fight without reason.

Okay?"
