She does have a point. Arlene might be finding her place here, piecing together the fragments of her new reality, but when I watch her, all I can think about is everything I stand to lose. Just because she's accepting the changes I've brought into her life doesn't mean there isn't a breaking point to what she can handle. I refuse to let her wake up one morning drowning in regret. There are other paths we can take regarding our children. My wolf can't be the one making every damn decision for us.
"I want to reopen the program," Linton's declaration hits me like a punch to the gut.
"What did you just say?" Jamiya's voice turns deadly.
"Obviously, we'd control everything. Handle it our way this time."
"You've completely lost your goddamn mind, Seraphina," she sneers.
"Why the hell would you want that?" I demand.
