"Uh, nothing. Just minding my own business," Daniel blurted out, a hint of nervousness creeping into his expression.
Jamson turned to him and gave him a suspicious glance, his eyes lingering on Daniel's face as though trying to figure out what he was hiding. However, he chose not to press the matter and casually turned his attention back to the front of the classroom.
Before long, the classroom door opened.
Magnus stepped inside, his long instructor's robe swaying with each measured step. The dark fabric was embroidered with yellowish lightning patterns along the cuffs and collar, while a high collar framed his neck.
A thick, leather-bound book rested beneath his arm, its worn cover suggesting years of use.
The conversations gradually faded as the students noticed his arrival.
The master walked to the front of the classroom and placed the book on his desk. His gaze swept across the room before he addressed the young shamans.
