The words went in one ear and out the other, barely leaving a trace in Daniel's mind.
The second page was blank, with half of it's contents eaten away. The third contained some text, but the letters were so blurry that he could barely make them out.
He flipped through the pages, squinting at the faded words and trying to piece together what remained.
'What the fuck even happened to this book? It looks like someone ate the damn paper,' he thought.
Despite its terrible condition, Daniel managed to make out a few things. From the scattered words and faded letters, he gathered that the first form was called Lightning Bolt, the second Chained Net, the third Sparkfall, the fourth KnifeFlash, and the fifth TempestWrath.
Those five names were the only things he could read with any certainty. The descriptions beneath them were a mess of missing chunks and blurred letters, as though the ink itself had been swallowed by time.
He turned another page.
Then another.
