Chapter 19 - Blackout

The door opened.

The guard barely had time to blink.

KRAK—

Knuckle's fist smashed straight into his face. Bone gave way like glass. The man flew backward and collapsed in a heap before his body even understood it was dead weight.

Blood splashed the wall.

Footsteps erupted.

Three—no, four armed guards rushed in, drawn by the sound, pushing past the female workers who scattered in panic.

They froze.

Knuckle stood there.

Still.

Hands dripping red.

Metal wrapped tightly around his fists, darkened with fresh blood.

One guard whispered, voice shaking,

"W-what is he doing here…?"

Fear spread faster than bullets.

Guns came up.

Lights—

CLICK.

Darkness.

Gunfire exploded.

BANG—BANG—BANG—

Muzzle flashes cut through the dark like lightning. Bullets tore into walls, doors, furniture—anything but Knuckle.

Inside the soundproof room above

Kid frowned.

"What the hell… where did the lights go?"

Erika sat on his lap, fingers sliding slowly across his chest, voice soft, dangerous.

"Don't you love doing things in the dark?" she whispered. "Isn't it more fun when you can't see?"

Kid smirked, grabbing her waist.

"You're a kinky woman," he laughed. "You know exactly what I want."

The room swallowed every sound.

No gunshots.

No screams.

(Back in the dark)

The guards emptied their magazines.

Click. Click.

Reloading.

Too late.

The lights snapped back on.

Knuckle stood between them.

Close.

Too close.

He grabbed one guard by the collar and slammed his head sideways—

CRASH—

Straight into another guard's face.

Once.

Twice.

Again.

He didn't stop until both bodies went limp.

The remaining guards tried to run.

They didn't make it three steps.

First floor—silent.

Cleared.

(Second Floor)

Heavy footsteps.

Different.

These weren't guards.

They were mountains.

Huge, muscular men—built like tanks, skin thick with scars. Strength radiated from them.

Jason slowed his breathing.

Strength can be beaten by speed.

But his leg—

Pain flared.

It hadn't healed.

He adapted.

Lights went out again.

Darkness.

He listened.

Footsteps.

Breathing.

Weight shifts.

Knuckle moved with the shadows.

THUD.

KRAK.

CRUNCH.

One by one, he struck—fast, brutal, precise. Metal-wrapped fists caved ribs, shattered jaws, crushed throats.

Blood soaked the floor.

But then—

BOOM.

Heavy steps.

Slow.

Deliberate.

The boss.

He punched blindly, rage fueling him.

Walls shattered.

Tables splintered.

Concrete cracked.

"WHERE ARE YOU, YOU PUSSY?" the giant roared.

Knuckle steadied his breath.

Lights came back.

Their eyes met.

Recognition flashed.

"KNUCKLE…" the man growled. "So you're alive. I've waited years to kill you. To avenge my brother."

Jason didn't remember.

Maybe Jake did something…

No time.

The giant charged.

Jason ripped off his jacket and threw it—

The man flinched.

Jason leapt onto his back.

BAM—BAM—BAM—BAM.

Fists hammered his skull.

Not enough.

The giant grabbed Jason's leg, swung him—

CRASH—

Jason smashed into the wall and hit the ground hard.

Blood spilled inside the mask.

The giant raised his fist.

"This ends now."

Darkness again.

Jason rolled, gasping, forcing himself up.

"…Guess I have to use it," he muttered.

The giant stomped, punching wildly.

Jason listened.

Steps.

Weight.

Breath.

He struck the legs—again and again—from different angles.

Pain slowed the giant.

Still standing.

Jason clenched his jaw.

He twisted his injured leg.

Family technique.

The wind itself seemed to move.

BOOM—

The punch landed straight into the giant's heart.

Everything Jason had—poured into it.

The giant staggered.

Still standing.

"…You think that's enough?" he sneered ,start running at him in anger

then collapsed.

Silence.

"You are a tough man to beat,i don't know what jake did to your brother in past but it's over now", Jason said while catching his breath.

Second floor—cleared.

(Third Floor)

Kid felt it.

A vibration—like an earthquake from the fight of Jason and the giant.

Suspicion crawled up his spine.

He grabbed his phone.

Erika tried to stop him.

"Don't—"

He dialed his manager anyway.

No answer.

"Pick up, you useless piece of—"

Too late.

The hallway was dark.

Only one man stood there.

Calm.

Waiting.

"You're Mr. Jason," the man said smoothly.

Jason tensed.

"How did he know who I am underneath the mask?"

The man smiled.

"My mistake. I should introduce myself properly."

He stepped forward.

"I'm Siber Hake. Kid's manager."

Jason clenched his fist.

"You think you can stop me alone?"

Hake laughed softly and raised both fists.

"Choose one."

Jason frowned.

"What?"

"A game," Hake said. "Choose."

Jason stepped forward—then froze.

Aura.

Heavy.

Oppressive.

Danger screamed in his instincts.

Slowly, Jason realise this man is no joke,he has to follow what he says and reached for the right fist—

Then changed his mind.

Left.

"So," Jason asked, "what happens now?"

Hake smiled, patted his shoulder.

"Who knows?"

He opened a nearby window.

Dark clouds rolled in.

"I love this weather."

Jason snapped, "You're not going to save your boss?"

Hake turned, eyes gleaming.

"Mr. Liar is my only boss."

And jumped.

Jason rushed to the window—

Nothing.

He's gone.

What the hell ?

Jason exhaled.

Focused.

(Fourth floor)

He stepped forward—

And stopped.

His eyes widened.

What he saw there…

Shouldn't have been possible.
