The morning light slanted through the gap in the curtains, hitting the floor of the dimly lit apartment and cutting out warm streaks of light. The air still carried the residual scent of shower gel mingled with a certain lingering, intimate aroma.

The mobile phone on the coffee table began to vibrate tirelessly again. The buzzing sound was particularly jarring in the overly quiet morning.

Chen Tian closed his eyes, frowned, and slowly opened them.

Kitagawa Marin's long, slender leg, wrapped around his waist, tightened unconsciously, displaying possessiveness even in sleep.

He carefully and gently moved the warm, smooth limb aside.

Marin lay on her side, her long blonde hair spread messily across the pillow, her cheeks still flushed from deep sleep. Her lips were slightly pouted, her breathing even and long. She was clearly immersed in a sweet dream.

Chen Tian leaned down and gently pressed a kiss on her warm cheek. The touch was soft.

He walked into the kitchen with bare feet, making no sound as he crossed the cool floor. His solid, sculpted musculature was clearly visible in the morning light. A few shallow scratch marks from fingernails snaked from his broad back down to his waist, silently recounting the frenzy of the previous night—which had begun at three-something in the afternoon when that violet scent invaded the bathroom, continuing with sweat, gasps, entanglement, brief rest, and water and food replenishment… until the early hours of the morning.

He opened the refrigerator, and the cold air rushed out.

He took out a bottle of icy mineral water, unscrewed the cap, and drank half the bottle, tilting his head back.

The cool liquid sliding down his throat brought a hint of sobriety.

He put the bottle down and his gaze turned to the living room coffee table.

The black phone, which had just gone quiet, had its screen stubbornly light up again.

Chen Tian walked over to the coffee table and picked up the phone. The words "The Young Lady" were still flashing on the screen.

He raised an eyebrow and pressed the answer button. Before he could speak, the girl's urgent voice came from the other end: "Ten-kun? Ten-kun! You finally answered!"

"The Young Lady, what's wrong?" Chen Tian chuckled softly.

The person on the other end clearly sighed in relief, their tone instantly shifting from anxious to elegant: "My apologies for the intrusion. It's been chaotic outside recently. I hope you are taking extra care."

"Mhm, I know." Chen Tian leaned against the sofa.

"Where is Ten-kun at the moment?" The girl's voice carried a deliberate casualness.

"Hmm, Zukou, North Ward." Chen Tian pulled the phone away and scrolled through the screen, seeing hundreds of missed calls—the notes "The Young Lady," "Random Girl," and "Drawn Book Sister" densely filled the notification bar.

He put the phone back to his ear, his voice teasing: "Kaguya-sama, you didn't call almost a hundred times just to ask that, did you?"

The other end of the line suddenly fell silent. A few seconds later, a light cough was heard: "N-No, of course not! It's just… it's been a long time since school started… and I haven't seen you…"

A rustling sound came from the bedroom.

Marin rubbed her eyes and walked out, the hem of her loose T-shirt barely covering her thighs.

She drowsily shuffled to Chen Tian's side, resting her chin on his shoulder like a lazy cat.

"School has started, huh…" Chen Tian wrapped one arm around Marin's waist, feeling her warm breath brush his collarbone. "Alright, I'll be back at school next week."

"Yes, I look forward to seeing Ten-kun again."

"Good, I'll see you then." Chen Tian replied. Marin was currently rubbing her nose against his earlobe. "Marin is awake."

The crisp sound of colliding porcelain came from the other end of the phone. "Wait! That blonde wo—"

Du. The dial tone echoed in the old Kyoto mansion.

The red-eyed girl stared at the darkened screen, her delicate face filled with anger.

In the dimly lit apartment, Marin was completely draped over Chen Tian's back, her voice thick with sleepiness: "Who was that~ so early…"

Chen Tian reached back to support Marin's legs, easily scooping her entire body into his front. The girl giggled, her smooth legs dangling in the air, the morning light gilding her eyelashes.

"Shinomiya Kaguya," Chen Tian said casually.

The laughter instantly stopped. Marin's eyes widened, and she fiercely wrapped her arms around Chen Tian's neck: "That Young Lady?! Is she still not giving up?!"

Chen Tian gently massaged her messy blonde hair, placing her on the sofa: "Are you jealous?"

"No way!" Marin puffed out her cheeks, like a cat with its fur bristling.

She climbed onto the sofa with bare feet, pointing at the kitchen from her superior height: "I want steamed buns! Right now!"

Chen Tian turned and headed toward the kitchen.

As the refrigerator door opened and closed, Marin knelt on the sofa, staring at the phone screen on the coffee table, which had lit up again. "Ugh…" she grumbled, wrinkling her small nose, her finger unconsciously poking her cheek.

The muffled sound of dough being kneaded came from the kitchen.

Marin stretched her neck to peek—Chen Tian had his back to her, his shoulder blade muscles flexing with the kneading motion. The few scratch marks she had left last night were particularly noticeable in the morning light.

Her ear tips suddenly turned red. She grabbed a throw pillow and buried her face in it.

"Want shrimp filling?" Chen Tian asked without turning around.

"Double portion!" a muffled voice came from behind the pillow.

As the flat pan sizzled, Marin slipped into the kitchen barefoot, hugging Chen Tian around the waist from behind.

She leaned against the man's sweaty back, hearing a low chuckle from his chest: "Not angry anymore?"

"I wasn't angry to begin with." She rubbed against Chen Tian's back, then suddenly opened her mouth and bit his shoulder blade. "…Just kidding."

Chen Tian turned off the stove and turned around, his flour-dusted fingers pinching her chin: "Are you a puppy?"

"Woof!" Marin intentionally bared her teeth, but instantly broke character when she saw the plump steamed buns in the steamer. "Wow!" She reached out to grab one, but Chen Tian swatted her hand away: "Hot."

At the dining table, Marin chewed with her cheeks bulging, then suddenly asked indistinctly: "Are you really going back to school next week?"

"Mhm. The concerts are all over for now. It's time to go back and end my leave."

"Will that Young Lady be there, too?"

Chen Tian pushed the soy milk toward her: "She certainly will."

Marin quickly chugged half a cup of soy milk, white foam still clinging to her lips: "I'm coming with you!" She kicked her dangling legs. "I'm going to let the whole school know—" She suddenly lunged at Chen Tian. "—you're mine!"

Chen Tian laughed, embracing the pouncing Marin: "Doesn't everyone already know? You confessed to me in front of the whole school."

Marin didn't blush. Instead, she lifted her chin with a smug expression: "Hmph~ It's not my fault the other girls only dared to stare and didn't make a move! See? Now you're mine, aren't you?" She sat on Chen Tian's lap, swaying her smooth legs.

"Yes, I'm yours." Chen Tian pinched her puffed-up cheeks.

Marin suddenly started counting on her fingers: "The Young Lady, the tsundere blonde girl, the elusive background girl, and the one who sends books…"

The more she counted, the tighter her eyebrows furrowed. "Ah!" She irritably ran her fingers through her messy blonde hair. "So many rivals!"

But the next second, she instantly revived, raising a small fist high in the air, announcing with full energy: "Bring it on! Watch me, Marin Kitagawa, defeat them all!"

Chen Tian steadied her swaying body. With his other hand, he shoved the last half of the steamed bun into her mouth: "First, defeat your breakfast."

Marin glared at Chen Tian petulantly, her cheeks rounded by the steamed bun.

But the next second, the rich, savory flavor exploded in her mouth, and her eyes instantly narrowed: "Mmm… so delicious~"

Chen Tian looked at this little sun in his arms, who had been defiantly declaring war one moment and was easily captured by food the next. The curve of his lips deepened unconsciously.

The morning light outside the window, the warm body in his arms, the combined scent of food and violet shower gel filling his nose.

Jujutsu Kaisen? Roll as far away as possible!

Gojo Satoru? Stay away from me!

All I want is to be a slacker. Just let me drown in endless beauty~~~

He tightened his arms around her waist, leaning down to kiss the tuft of blonde hair sticking up on her head.

Marin was immersed in the deliciousness of the steamed bun, mumbling a confused "Hm?" Like a cat being stroked, she rubbed against him in his arms.

The swirling white mist rising from the steamer filled the morning kitchen with a particularly warm glow.
