Outside the Domain, at the edge of a high-rise rooftop.
Gojo Satoru stood with one hand in his pocket, his pale blue Six Eyes fixed intently on the area enveloped by the distorted, blood-red space.
The invisible Malevolent Shrine stood silently amidst the ruins, like an ominous, dark-red gigantic cocoon.
"Strange…" Gojo Satoru frowned slightly, a hint of solemnity beneath his white lashes. "After a Domain Expansion, shouldn't there be a more violent clash of Cursed Energy? Why is it… so quiet? Not a sound?"
He stroked his chin, his tone uncertain: "Did… did it end that quickly? Was the little guy taken out?"
Squatting beside him, Itadori Yuji's hands gripped the concrete edge of the rooftop tightly, his fingertips slightly white.
He stared fixedly at the silent, blood-red Domain, his lips moving a few times before he finally spoke with difficulty:
"Gojo-sensei… I don't think… Nero would lose."
"Oh?" Gojo Satoru turned his head, his gaze settling on his student's tense face. "Why do you say that?"
Yuji took a deep breath, trying to calm his churning emotions, and quickly recounted everything he had witnessed:
"When we were trapped in Kenjaku's Barrier Domain before, it was him… who casually, using some method I couldn't see, just shattered that massive barrier that covered the entire Tokyo region like it was a piece of glass."
"And then…" A sense of dread flashed in Yuji's eyes. "The instant the barrier collapsed, he seemed to… swing his sword? Or do something? Anyway, in the exact second the barrier disappeared, every Cursed Spirit and Cursed User that had a Cursed Energy reaction throughout the entire East Tokyo area… was completely erased!"
He paused, his voice carrying an incredible resonance:
"And earlier in Shibuya… when Sukuna first opened his Domain, he casually sliced it apart! Even Megumi's Mahoraga was instantly killed by one of his slashes…"
Yuji's voice was low, but every word hit Gojo Satoru like a heavy hammer.
Gojo Satoru abruptly turned his head. His Six Eyes, capable of seeing through all things in the world, were wide and round, filled with shock:
"Hah?! That strong?!"
He instinctively looked toward Nanami Kento, who had been silent as a mountain next to him, as if seeking confirmation:
Nanami Kento adjusted his glasses on the bridge of his nose, the expression behind the lenses intensely sharp.
He tightened his jawline. Meeting Gojo Satoru's gaze, he offered no extra words, only nodding slowly and heavily.
The air solidified.
The silent blood-red Domain, Yuji's description of the terrifying feat, Nanami's wordless confirmation… an unprecedented chill silently crept up Gojo Satoru's spine.
He slowly turned back, looking again at the terrifyingly quiet Domain. Deep within his pale blue irises, a burning battle-lust, surpassing mere curiosity, ignited, mixed with a caution reserved for facing an abyss.
"Nero…" A hint of excitement slowly curved Gojo Satoru's lips, his voice soft as the wind.
"This… has truly gotten more and more interesting."
Inside the Domain, Sukuna's fury seemed to have materialized.
"Fail to amuse me?" The Cursed Marks on Sukuna's face twisted and contorted. His four scarlet pupils were practically spitting fire. "I am going to carve you to shreds!"
The density of the slashes instantly doubled. Countless Dismantle and Cleave attacks interwove into a storm of death, completely engulfing Chen Tian's position.
If anyone could see the Cursed Energy trajectories, the area around Chen Tian would have been a blinding white mess.
Chen Tian merely bent his knees slightly, the Yamato drawing a spectral blue arc in his hands.
As the blade light flashed, all incoming slashes disintegrated the moment they touched the edge of the sword.
Sukuna could clearly sense—every single one of his slashes was intercepted, with not even a single ripple of after-effect remaining.
"Aaaaah!" Sukuna roared furiously, all four arms bulging with veins, Cursed Energy surging wildly.
Chen Tian suddenly sheathed his sword. The metallic friction sounded particularly sharp in the dead silence of the Domain.
"I'm bored."
The moment the Yamato was unsheathed again, the entire Malevolent Shrine trembled violently.
The blade light, like a spectral blue bolt of lightning, sliced open the blood-red space. Everywhere it passed—the shrine's pillars, the bone altar, and even the rules of the Domain itself—were all neatly sliced into two.
Sukuna's pupils contracted sharply.
He watched his Domain shatter like glass, the momentum of the blade light unchecked as it sped straight toward him!
The loud, crisp sound of the Domain shattering pierced Sukuna's eardrums.
The instant the spectral blue blade light swept past his body, he felt no pain—only a bone-deep chill that erupted from the very core of his marrow, as if his soul itself had been frozen.
All four scarlet eyes contracted violently. The blood-red Domain in his vision was like a smashed mirror, cracks spreading wildly outward from the trajectory of the blade light.
"Impossible…" Sukuna's expression turned to one of astonishment.
He watched his Domain completely collapse, the shrine's pillars turning into dust, the bone altar evaporating into mist.
And then—light.
Blinding sunlight poured down like a flood, instantly engulfing all traces of red.
Sukuna instinctively raised his hand to block it, but through his fingers, he saw an even more shocking sight: the blade light's momentum was not spent. It had sliced straight toward the heavens!
The layer of leaden clouds, condensed by his Cursed Energy, was neatly split open, revealing the clear, pristine blue sky behind.
The sunlight streamed through the cloud rift, casting a golden column of light onto the ruins, like salvation after a divine punishment.
On the high-rise outside the Domain, Itadori Yuji suddenly stood up: "The sky… is split open?!"
Gojo Satoru's Six Eyes reflected the sword mark that ran through heaven and earth. "That one slash… cut even the weather."
In Sukuna's eyes, the dazzling sunlight began to occupy his entire field of vision, until…
Only boundless white remained in his sight.
Sukuna's scarlet pupils contracted once, only then making out the smiling face adorned with stitches before him.
"Yo, King of Curses…" Mahito tilted his head, the split corner of his mouth nearly touching his ear. "We've been waiting for you."
Sukuna lowered his gaze, looking at his own body, then raised his eyes to scan the pure white void.
Dead silence, emptiness, coldness. He twisted the corner of his mouth, showing a smile of unknown meaning.
"Heh." Sukuna's voice was very calm, devoid of emotion. "Seeing you, I know my fate."
Mahito burst into an ear-splitting cackle, his body shaking irregularly like melting wax: "Hahahaha! Failure! Complete failure! How is it? What does it feel like to be severed in two by that monster?"
Sukuna ignored Mahito's wild laughter. He raised his head, his gaze seemingly piercing through the pure white space, looking toward some non-existent distance.
"It's good," he said blandly.
A new figure emerged in the paleness.
Kenjaku, with long black hair, stood silently behind Mahito. His two-toned eyes, familiar yet unsettling, carried a mocking, unsettling smile. He didn't speak, merely watching Sukuna quietly.
Immediately, an icy chill permeated the area. Fine ice crystals condensed against the pure white backdrop.
Uraume's figure quietly appeared. They knelt on one knee, their head bowed low, their face hidden in shadow.
Ice crystals covered a large portion of their body, like congealed tears.
"Lord Sukuna…" Uraume's voice was hoarse and broken, suppressing extreme pain and bitterness.
They slowly raised their head. Beneath the silver hair, their cold eyes were now filled with unbelievable despair. "How… how could you…"
Sukuna's gaze swept over the kneeling Uraume. "Why the long face!"
Sukuna's low shout made Uraume's shoulder tremble. Ice crystals fell rustling from their lowered eyelashes.
Sukuna's gaze swept over Uraume, then over Mahito's twisted smile, and settled on Kenjaku's face, that face he'd known for centuries, finally cracked into a smile of genuine amusement.
"Isn't this great?" Sukuna's voice held a strange sense of satisfaction. "Isn't this the day I've been waiting for? Waiting to be chopped down by someone stronger!"
His scarlet pupils were gleaming, as if recalling that earth-shattering slash. "That guy called Nero… he's truly incredible! So interesting!"
Uraume bit down hard on their lower lip, still unable to speak.
"Hmm," Kenjaku finally spoke, his voice carrying a soft sigh, "that guy, certainly… doesn't belong to this era of life."
"Hahahaha!" Sukuna suddenly erupted into a fit of laughter, the sound echoing through the pale space with unconstrained exhilaration. He looked at Kenjaku mockingly.
"You bastard! Do you get it now? Your petty schemes and calculations are worthless garbage in the face of that absolute power!"
Kenjaku sighed faintly, and nodded his head slightly, the corner of his mouth barely twitching, as if conceding this fact.
Sukuna's wild laughter gradually subsided, finally settling into a relaxed smile on his lips.
He looked up toward the edge of this vast, pure white void, as if he could still see that spectral blue blade light that cleaved the heavens, his voice tinged with a hint of regret.
"It's a pity…" he murmured. "Even in death, I couldn't fathom how deep that guy's reserve was."
He paused, letting out a faint, ambiguous chuckle, either self-mocking or a form of tribute. "My apologies, Nero… I couldn't give you the satisfaction you deserved."
As he finished speaking, he turned around, his large hand casually slapping Uraume's stiff shoulder.
"Let's go." The voice was soft, but carried a sense of carefree freedom.
Uraume's head shot up, their expression a mix of grief and shock, but they ultimately did not speak again. They only gave Sukuna's back a deep look, stood up, and silently followed.
The two figures, one after the other, walked into the pure paleness. Like ink drops dissolving in milk, they quickly faded and dissipated.
Kenjaku watched Sukuna disappear, a knowing smile slowly forming. "You don't regret it, do you, Sukuna?"
The moment his voice faded, Kenjaku's figure also vanished into the space.
Mahito's mocking laughter instantly stopped. His eyes widened, staring blankly in the direction where Sukuna and Kenjaku had disappeared.
After a moment of stupor, he lay down on the ground like a spoiled child throwing a tantrum, wildly flailing his limbs.
"Why! Why! Why are you doing this! You're making me look like a child!"
Amidst Mahito's shouts, his figure also slowly faded, finally disappearing.
In reality.
The sunlight shone dazzlingly onto the ruins. The lingering force of the slash hung in the air, subtly warping space.
Sukuna—or rather, Fushiguro Megumi's body—lay quietly amidst the rubble.
The grotesque Cursed Marks, the extra arms, and the eyes on his body were all gone, reverting him back to the black-haired boy he was.
His chest rose and fell slightly; he had only lost consciousness.
Chen Tian looked down at the unconscious Fushiguro Megumi, the Yamato already sheathed.
Several figures instantly appeared around Chen Tian. Gojo Satoru, Itadori Yuji, Nanami Kento, Higuruma Hiromi, and finally, the Angel Kurusu Hana fluttering down with her wings.
"Yo, little guy!" Gojo Satoru's face was wreathed in a brilliant smile. He naturally reached out to clap Chen Tian on the shoulder. "Great job!"
Chen Tian turned his head, his pitch-black pupils coldly sweeping over Gojo Satoru.
The look made Gojo Satoru's hand pause in mid-air, his expression turning awkward.
"Sukuna is dead," Chen Tian said, his voice flat. "Fushiguro Megumi is fine." His gaze returned to the boy on the ground. "I sliced Sukuna's soul."
The smile on Gojo Satoru's face froze, his eyes widening again.
He sharply turned his head to look at Fushiguro Megumi, his Six Eyes working like a high-speed, precision scanner.
"This…" Gojo Satoru's voice cracked.
Fushiguro Megumi's body lay peacefully. The flow of Cursed Energy was faint but steady. Sukuna's vast Cursed aura had completely vanished, as if it had never been there. He was truly… completely unharmed!
"Waaahhh—!" Gojo Satoru suddenly jumped up and down on the spot, like a child who had discovered a new toy, enthusiastically making slicing gestures at the air with his hands. "What kind of technique is this?! A soul slash?!"
"Hey, hey, hey! That's cheating! How did you lock onto the soul? A rule-level precise extraction?! What is the principle behind this?!"
He was so excited that he waved his arms and legs, leaning close to Chen Tian. His pale blue Six Eyes were practically touching Chen Tian's indifferent face, trying to dig the answer out of him.
Itadori Yuji barely heard what Gojo Satoru was shouting.
The moment he confirmed Sukuna's aura was completely gone and Fushiguro Megumi was truly alive, a wave of immense joy instantly overwhelmed his strained nerves. "Megumi—!"
He shouted, rushing forward like a cannonball, heavily falling to his knees beside Fushiguro Megumi, his trembling hand cautiously reaching for his carotid artery.
A clear, strong pulse throbbed beneath his fingers.
Yuji's body gave a sudden jolt. All the tension in his body seemed to instantly drain away. He went completely limp, his forehead resting heavily on the cold ground, his shoulders shaking violently.
A choked sob, suppressed to the extreme, finally burst out, mixed with the ecstasy of survival and uncontrollable tears: "Thank goodness… thank goodness…"
Large tears fell onto the dirt.
"…Unbelievable." Nanami Kento adjusted his glasses, his eyes locked on Chen Tian and the Yamato at his waist.
Severing the soul… this level of power was beyond his normal comprehension.
Higuruma Hiromi was breathing heavily. The world-destroying pressure from moments ago felt like it was still squeezing his heart. He looked at Chen Tian's calm profile, then at the safe and sound Fushiguro Megumi on the ground, his face showing only deep wariness.
Kurusu Hana's pure white wings fluttered, and she drifted down next to Fushiguro Megumi, moving slightly quicker than Yuji.
She placed her hand on Fushiguro Megumi's chest, her fingertips trembling slightly.
When the steady, powerful heartbeat truly transmitted to her fingertips, her taut body instantly relaxed, her shoulders slumping slightly.
Without the violent cries and collapse of Yuji, she simply covered Fushiguro Megumi's chest with both hands, feeling the pulse of life, as clear tears silently rolled down her cheeks.
Chen Tian withdrew his gaze from Fushiguro Megumi and turned to Gojo Satoru, who was still making slicing gestures at the air.
"Things aren't completely over here yet."
Gojo Satoru finally stopped gesticulating, his pale blue Six Eyes looking at him with curiosity.
"Fushiguro Megumi's sister," Chen Tian continued, "had her body taken over by another old hag." He paused, adding, "That woman came here seeking Sukuna."
He finished speaking, casually looking up at the now clear blue sky, then glanced down at the watch on his wrist.
"Hmm, 3:32 PM."
Then, Chen Tian returned his gaze to Gojo Satoru, speaking concisely:
"She's all yours, Gojo."
Before his voice faded, he gripped the hilt of the Yamato at his waist with a reverse grip.
A spectral blue blade light flashed and vanished, the blade drawing a cross in the air in front of him.
Blue-violet energy, like tearing cloth, instantly ripped open a portal in the space before him. The edges flowed with unstable electric sparks. The scenery on the other side was completely different, blurred, and distorted.
"Hey, hey, hey!" Gojo Satoru shouted loudly. "Where are you going?!"
Chen Tian had already stepped into the portal, half his body submerged in the flowing blue-violet light. Hearing the question, he didn't turn his head, leaving only one final, lighthearted remark, the tail end swallowed by the buzzing of the tearing space:
"Going home. To eat. To sleep. To hug my girlfriend."
