Inside of a room, where posters of Star Wars and Star Trek covered the walls, a DnD guide book sat on a desk next to a desktop computer, along with numerous other books piled high that focused on subjects such as biology, nuclear physics, world history, and advanced mathematics, a sixteen-year old young man stood in front of a full-body mirror. Where he was adjusting the cap and gown he was currently wearing.
Making sure his appearance was perfect, because was his graduation day.
From college that is.
Where he would be walking away with four PhD's.
Just the first degrees of many this young man had already promised himself he would obtain.
If only to live up to his namesake.
One Micheal Holt. An incredibly smart and capable man who changed the world in numerous ways, especially as his superhero alter ego known as Mister Terrific.
Which the young man in front of the mirror also planned to do.
Considering his name is also Micheal Holt, and he has the same capabilities as the original.
Even though they are not the same person.
Put simply the current Micheal is actually someone who has died and lived a previous life.
He is a reincarnate.
In his first life he was nothing more than an ordinary person, living an ordinary life.
Then one day he woke up and found himself as a baby again.
Where after growing up for a few years he realized not only did he have the exact same name as Micheal Holt, but also his capabilities.
In particular his vast intellect.
This has what has allowed Micheal to get where he is today.
But his current achievements are only the beginning.
Especially given what he knows of the threats in the new reality he calls home.
Which is not the DC Universe where the original Micheal Holt is from.
No, Micheal inhabits a different universe.
But one no less dangerous.
For he lives in the Marvel Universe.
Or at least a version of it. Since over the years Michael has determined he is not in any of the mainstream Marvel universes that he recalls from his previous life.
But again, that doesn't make the universe he inhabits now any less dangerous.
Which is one of the reasons he's decided to follow in his namesakes steps and give his new world there very own Mister Terrific.
Not only so he can change the world for the better, but also protect it. Especially his new loved ones.
Finishing adjusting his cap and gown Michael curtly nodded. "Perfect." He said.
Knock Knock
Then just after he did he heard a knock on his bedroom door.
"Micheal, I'm coming in." A female voice said.
"Okay, mom." Micheal replied. He then turned around, just as his bedroom door opened up.
As it did Micheal found himself facing a woman with slightly tan skin, long brown hair and matching brown-colored eyes.
His mother in his new life, whose name is Janice Holt.
Moving her gaze up and down Micheal Janice curly nodded in her son's direction. "Looks like you're ready."
"Of course mom. This is a big day after all." Micheal replied. "Did you think I wouldn't be?"
"Given all the times I've had to walk into your room and drag you away from books or one of your little projects, yes." Janice replied.
Leading Micheal to a mock expression of hurt on his face and clutch his chest. "Oh you wound me mother, you wound me." He said.
"Sure, sure." Janice replied. "Now come on. Everyone is waiting."
"Sure thing." Micheal replied, giving his mom a two finger salute.
He then grabbed a few more things, like his phone and wallet, before following his mother out of his room and downstairs to his houses front door.
Where three other people dressed in formal clothing were wating.
The first was an older man wearing a suit. He has black hair and brown eyes hidden behind glasses, along with a beard.
His name is Earnest Holt, Michael's father.
The second was a young man of thirteen years old who sports black hair and brown eyes.
His name is Aaron Holt, Michael's first little brother.
Standing next to Aaron was a young man of eleven years old who has brown hair, and brown eyes hidden by a pair of glasses.
His name is Jeffery Holt, Michael's youngest brother.
The moment Michael reached the front door all three men turned their gazes to him.
"Finally. The man of the hour has arrived." Aaron spoke. "I was wondering how much longer you were going to make us wait bro?"
"Hey since this is my big day I don't see an issue if I was fashionably late." Micheal replied.
"You do remember your giving the graduating speech for your class right?" Aaron asked.
"I do." Michael replied. "But again, I see no reason why I can't be a little fashionably late."
"But being late is bad big bro." Jeffery spoke.
"I know Jeffrey. But sometimes you need a add a little style to your entrance." Micheal explained. "I mean just take Tony Stark for example."
"Yeah, no." Earnest said. "Boys please don't start copying that man. He is a genius but..."
"His public image leaves much to be desired." Janice spoke, finishing what her husband was saying.
Which is true.
Since right now Tony, who is the spitting image of RDJ from the MCU, hasn't gone through his kidnapping ordeal in Afghanistan and became Iron Man yet.
An event that is still close to a decade off, if the events in this world follow closely to the MCU timeline that is.
Which Michael hypothesizes might be the case given Captain America is the spitting image of Chris Evans, Bruce Banner looks like Mark Ruffalo, and Hank Pym looks like Micheal Douglass.
Then again both Trask Industries and the Essex Corporation do exist in this reality, with Bolivar Trask looking exactly like he did in the Fox X-Men film series.
To say nothing of the Hugh Jackman look-alike featured in history books as a member of the Howling Commandos.
Not to mention the existence of the Roxxon Energy Corporation, Hammer Industries, and the Baxter Foundation.
Though thankfully Reed Richards is his MCU actor, Pedro Pascal. One of the more competent versions of the future Mister Fantastic.
But back to the main point.
With so much out there Micheal isn't sure what the future will bring.
That's why he's going to prepare for anything.
With his graduation today being his first steps in that direction.
"You can say that again mom." Michael spoke.
Leading him and his family to share a laugh.
Then once they did they left the house, got in the car, and started heading for his college graduation.
