Mariah stares down from the window as her brother pulled up his car into the apartment park. That brat don't really listen and he even threatened her that he won't eat if they don't talk,it seems he is gradually leaving his mom wings.
Javier looked at Mariah's lonely back and sighed, he wants her to open up to him about what happened that day but he is scared that she will withdraw completely if he pressure her. So he to wait for her to come around herself.
The door rings and Mariah chose to answer it since Javier is wrapping up the food he is cooking.
She opened and saw his little brother standing there and looking if he is also abandoned.
Adrian: I miss you sister so please don't ask me to stay away from you cause I won't.
Mariah: Come in and stop acting as if I have bullied you.
They both got seated on the couch but Adrian saw a moment in the kitchen and was about to ask who is there only to see Javier appearing with dishes in his hands leading to the dinning table.
Adrian: Sis who is he, but wait, ain't you Javier Delgado,the CEO of LGADO EMPIRE where my sister works. What are you doing here, Mr. Delgado?.
(Adrian questions as he gives Javier a pointed look. He know that this man don't do commitment so what is he doing in his sister apartment and also cooking. He thought as he started glaring at Javier)
Javier: I'm cooking what else or you need a medicated lense to see that.
( Javier answered with a hint of teasing in his voice though his face was natural).
Adrian was able to retort back but Mariah asked to them to sit and eat if they are done talking.
Javier: I didn't know that you are coming so I didn't add your portion to the food,so you are not invited.
( Mariah could see that they are about to bicker again so she decided not to mind them).
Adrian: He scoffed and said, this is my sister's house so I will eat whatever I want. It's doesn't matter if you are the one who cooked. Why don't you be a good cook and serve my portion please.
( He said with a smirk on his face taunting Javier).
Javier looked at the young lawyer and made a mental note to kick him if he get the chance. He wanted to spend the rest of the day with Mariah but this lass has spoils his plans.
Adrian: Sister, your boss wants to kill me , I can feel it.
Javier: Just keep quiet and eat, why do you talk so much, can't you see your sister wants to eat quietly.
Adrian turned to his sister and kept quiet seeing her face. He came to ask for forgiveness and reconcile with her so he don't want to upset her further.
The dinner went on almost peacefully after that though certain men keeps glaring at each other.
When they finished the dinner, Mariah dragged Adrian to her bedroom while ordering Javier to clean up the plates. This made Adrian shoot Javier a victory and scornful to him as he entered his sister's bedroom.
He totally feel in love with the room, very spacious and simple.
"What brought you here, I told you not to bother me " Mariah asked him drawing him out of his thoughts.
Adrian: I miss you sister, I miss you very much and I'm sorry I didn't help when you were framed. All I want is to forgive me sister, I beg you.
( Adrian said as he was almost kneeling down with a sad eyes).
That day when you left, mother prevented me in coming after you and when I got the too, you were not there. Later Dad called and said you with that grim reaper.
Mariah: Ha, then why didn't you visit me when you learned that I was with him. I waited for you everyday because I know you believed me but you didn't come. So stop acting like you are sorry cause you are not"
(Mariah said with her voice raising a little)
Adrian: I tried sis, I really tried but Grandpa didn't allow anyone to meet you. I called him many time to allow me to talk to you but he didn't allow it. He told me that we have done enough already and we should stay away from you in order for you to heal. Dad also tried but we were not allowed sister".
Mariah: You are lying, Grandpa won't do that and I'm done with this conversation so leave.
Adrian: Sister I'm not lying, you can ask that grim reaper and I won't leave cause now I don't have a house.
( Mariah look at his little brother who is almost crying and wondered why their grandpa didn't allow him to visit her cause she knows what Adrian never lie to her).
Mariah: I don't care if you have a house or not, you are going leave my house.
Adrian: No I won't.
Mariah: Oh you will.
Adrian: I said I won't.
Mariah: leave..
Adrian: NO!
( By now both of them have their voice raised up).
Javier heard the their voices and didn't know whether to intervene or allow them to continue.
It seems he is at stake here.
