My chest felt a little tight, but I still forced myself to speak to Damian. I paused for a brief moment before opening my mouth.
"I…see. In that case, please keep me informed about whatever information you find on Iris. I will try to take care of the social media side of our business."
I told Damian, but my words came out a little…off.
Even I could hear it.
"You…I will keep you informed about the case in the future. I might need some time with all this, so if you don't see me around, it is because of this."
Damian told me, and I suddenly felt like I was being abandoned by him for the sake of the person he started all this for.
The thought lingered longer than I liked.
Being with Damian was like a curse and a blessing at the same time.
He made me feel happy, loved, and needed.
He was slowly making me feel what care was like and filling my life with things I had missed….Things I had stopped expecting.
However, this was all an act on his part.
